UKRAINE

TheUnitedNationalDaysofPrayerfor UkrainethatwehaveheldsincePutin’s firstinvasionin2014formoneofthe greatestmiraclesinmyministry.Putinexpectedhissecondinvasion,on24thFebruary2022,tobeoverin3days.Afterall, hiswasthe2ndstrongestarmyinthe world!Hedidn’texpecttheWesttoget involved–nordidtheywantto–they waitedtoseewhatUkrainewoulddo. TheunexpectedsuccessofUkraineto repelanddestroythisoverwhelmingevil army–liberatingthewholeofKyivregion injust5weeks–demonstratesthePower ofPrayer!SomeoneshouldtellPutinwe haveaprayer-answeringGod–hecannotfightagainstaprayingnation.!

Thesecretofmyministryisprayer.Ihada prayingfather.Oneofthefoundersof theElimPentecostalChurchesinBritain, hewas,aboveall,amanofprayer.My bedroomwasoverthekitchen,and everymorningIwoketothesoundofmy fatherpraying.WhatGodhasdonein mylifeistheanswertomyfather’s prayer.

WhenIopenedmyBibletopreparethis message,apieceofpaperfellout.It read,‘MaryQueenofScotssaid,“Ifear theprayersofEvangelistJohnKnoxmore thanallthearmiesofEurope.”’Hisprayer wasintheunshakableconfidencethat GodwouldsaveScotland.Whataremarkablestatement,thatMaryQueenof Scotsfearedtheprayersofthisoneman morethanallthemassedarmiesof Europe!Andtherewillcomeatime whenVladimirPutinwillbemoreafraid oftheprayingChurchinUkrainethanof allthearmiesofNATO.

ThisiswhatGodsaysinIsaiah58:8-9to UkraineandtotheprayingChurchin Ukraine:“Yourlightwillbreakforthasthe morning,andyourhealingshallspring forthspeedily.Yourrighteousnessshall gobeforeyou,andtheGloryoftheLord shallbeyourrear-guard.Thenyoushall call,andtheLordwillanswer!”

1Corinthians4:20says,“TheKingdomof Godisnotinword,butinPower.”Godis notjustaGodofpromises,butaGodof action!HeDOESwhatHesays–inPower!

He’saGodofWar!IlikenyouinUkraine tothenationofIsrael;theywereatwar, andGodCOMMANDEDthem,“DRIVE OUTtheenemy!”It’sawarningto Ukraine!BecausetheIsraelitesfailedto drivetheenemyoutoftheland,Israel suffereddefeatandpersecutionforhundredsofyears.IbelieveGodiscommandingyou–yes,HeisCOMMANDING youasanationtodrivetheenemyoutof everycornerofyourland!Iftheenemy remainsononepartofyourland,youwill suffer.IfitwasacommandtoIsrael,itis acommandtoyou.

I’mjustaboycalledDavid,theyoungest inmyfamily,likeKingDavid,andlikehim, Ifight–withGod’sweapons!WhenIwas comingtoworkintheSovietUnion–and Ihaveworkedhere,behindthatoldIron Curtain,for62years–Godsaidtomeas HesaidtoJoshua,“CrossoverJordan andIwillbewithyou.Nomanwillbe abletostandagainstyouallthedaysof yourlife.”For62yearsmytestimonyis thatnogovernment,noindividual,has beenabletostopme–allthedaysof mylife.That’sremarkable.In1988,here inLviv,therewasanattempttoassassinateme–theysetatrapandsentboysto killme.Theyturnedapistolonme,took mycar,aheavyLandcruiser,droveit straightatme,threwmeintheair,andI smasheddownontheground.ButIwas notdead.Igotupandcarriedon preaching!ButIfoundoutthenameof themaninthegovernment,theMinister ofReligiousAffairs,whosetthisup.Within oneyearImethimfacetofaceinhisoffice.Heforbademetocontinueto preachinUkraine.ButwhenIconfronted himwiththetruthabouthimself,he changedhismindandgavemefreedomtopreachalloverUkraine.Yousee, Godhadsaid,nomanwillbeableto standagainstmeallthedaysofmylife.

WhenIprayinacrisis,IaskGodtogive metheanswer–inwriting!Icouldgive somanyexampleswhenthecommunist governmentsbannedmefromtheir countries,buteverytimeGodsaid,“I havesetbeforeyouanopendoor–no mancanshutit!”That’stheWordof God!

WhydidIcometotheSovietUnion?I begantravellingherein1961–andI wantedtoknowifGodwantedmeto spendmylifehere.In1964Igotthroat cancer.IbelievedGodwouldhealme, butafter3monthsthecancerwasso big,thedoctorssaidIneededanimmediateoperation.SoIprayed,“Lord,ifYou wantmetostayintheUK,don’theal me,I’llhavetheoperationandlearnto talkwithmystomachmuscles.Butifyou wantmetoleavemyhomeandgoto theSovietUnion,Ineedamiracle–heal me!And,OGod,Iwanttheanswerin writing!”GodgavemeRomans8:27, “AccordingtotheWillofGod!”Ijumped up!IKNEWGodhadhealedme!Iwent backtothedoctors,thesamedoctors whohadsaidthatwithoutanoperationI woulddie.Theyexaminedme,and askedangrily,“Whooperated?Wecan seethescarwherethecancerhasbeen cutoutwithaknife!”Ireplied,“TheJesus youdon’tbelievein,Hediditlastnight!”

In1972IwasarrestedbyaUkrainianKGB officerfromUzhorodandthrownintoa communistprison.Ihadbeenbringing Biblesintothecommunistcountriessince 1961–deliveringtoorderinthedifferent languages–onanindustrialscale,2 tonnesatatime!Iwasconvictedof ‘SeditionagainsttheState’because, theysaid,theBibleattackstheState!I wassentencedtowhatcouldhave been10yearsbut,likePaulandSilas whentheywereinprison,Iprayed!God gavemeadreaminwhichIsawmyself outoftheprison,preachingto10,000 peopleinthelargestauditoriuminLondon.Isaid,“Lord,that’simpossible”–but IbegantopraythatGodwouldworka miracle!After9monthsImanagedto smugglemyownBibleintomycell!In Psalm35:18Iread,“Iwillgivethanksin thegreatcongregation!”ImmediatelyI understoodIwouldbereleasedand preachinginthegreatEasterConventionthatusedtobeheldeveryyearin London!ButIsaid,“Ifyoucanworkthis miracle,thenworkanotherandgetme outonmybirthday,fourdaysbefore Easter.Andgivemetheanswerinwriting,givemeaversewhichsaysYoureleaseaprisonerinchains.Ireadon,until Psalm68:6,“Godsetsthesolitaryinfamil-

ies,andHebringsouttheprisonerin chains.”

NowIhadtwopromisesconfirmedin writing!One,Iwillbepreachinginthe RoyalAlbertHallinLondonto10,000 peopleontheEasterMonday.Andtwo,I willbegoinghomeonmybirthday!

Butitwasimpossible!Oneoftheprison officerssummonedme,“What’sthis you’retellingtheprisoners?”Heshowed metheprisonwalls,thebarbedwire,the watchtowers,themenwithKalashnikovs,theguarddogs,“Theonlyway youwillgetoutofhereisinawooden box!”BackatmyworkbenchIputmy headinmyhandsindespair.Godchallengedme,“Howdoyouknowyouare aChristian,thatyouaresaved?”Iknow, I’manevangelist,God’sWordsays, “WhosoevershallcallontheNameof theLordshallbedelivered.”Quickasa flashitcametome,“David,didInot promiseyouinwritingthatIwillrelease you?”GodkeepsHispromises–circumstancesarenothing.Godcannotfail.I wasreleasedonmybirthday,justasGod hadsaid!IflewhomewithBritishPrime MinisterHaroldWilsonwhohadcometo releaseme!ThenfourdayslaterIwas testifyingto10,000peopleintheRoyal AlbertHall!

IbelieveintheAuthorityofGod’sWord. EverytimeIhaveamajorissueinmylife, Ipray.IaskGodfortheanswer,“Show meinwriting!”Ihavebeenprayingover UkraineandIhaveseveralScripturesI wanttoshare.

FirstlyfromNumbers23:19,Balak,theenemyofIsrael,hiredamantocurseIsrael –youknowwhatit’slikeinRussia–money!ButBalaamrefusedtocurseIsrael.Balakgavehimmoremoney,but stillherefused.Eventuallythebribewas sobig,Balaamagreed–andstillhejust stoodthere,thenthispaganprophet saidtheseamazingwords,“Icannot curseIsrael.Godisnotaman.Goddoes

notlie.WhomGodhasblessed,noman cancurse!”AndIdeclaretoyou, Ukraine:Godhasblessedyoubecause ofyoursixyearsofUnitedNationalPrayer –andbecauseGodhasblessedyou,no mancancurse.Thereisnocurse,no powerthatcantouchyournation.

LookatJeremiah33:6-7,wheretheenemyisfightingattheverygatesofJerusalem,bringingdestructiononthenation. Itisbeyondhope,yetGodsays,“Iwill bringhealthandhealing…Iwillturn backthecaptivityofJudahandIsrael andIwillrebuildthemasatfirst.”God gavemethesepromiseswhenIhadlung cancerin2002/3,healthandhealing. GodkeptHispromisestome–lookat me–I’mover90andIhavemorehealth thanmostofyou!Godneverfails,hefulfilseverypromiseintheBook.What happenedtothatlungcancer?Iwent upmyprayermountaininGermanyto pray.Thenaloneinmybedroomthat night,Ibegantochoketodeath.I couldn’tbreathe,Ihadnovoice,butin myspiritIcriedout,“KeepYourPromise!” Instantlythecancercameoutofmy mouth.Iwastotallyhealed!Nomedication,nooperation!Itwasimpossible!

Jeremiah32:17says,“AhLordGod,behold,YouhavemadetheHeavenand theearthbyYourGreatPowerandby Yourstretched-outArm,andthereis NOTHING–ABSOLUTELYNOTHING–too hardforYou!”Nothingistoohard,nothingisimpossible!That’swhywepray! Ukraine,Godhasalreadygivenmethe answer,andIcantellyou–theRussian armywillbedefeated!Godsaysso!He saystoyouinJeremiah33:6-9,Iwillbring toKyiv,andtoallyourcities,healthand healing;Iwillcleanseyoufrominiquity, andIwillmakeKyivaplaceofjoy,praise andhonourbeforeallthenationsofthe earth.

ThesepromiseswereforJerusalem,but Godgavethemtome.AndIbelieve GodisspeakingtoUkraine,toKyiv.He

says,Iwillbringyouhealthandhealing,I willrevealpeaceandtruth,Iwillcleanse yoursin–andthisnationshallbetoMea nameofjoyandpraiseandhonourbeforethewholeworld!GODisgoingto showHisPower,HisGlory–inTHISnation! Thisnationwillbeawitnesstotheworld ofthepowerofprayer,ofthePowerof God,oftheGloryofGod!We’regoingto seethePowerofGodsweepfromone sideofthisnationtotheother.Iknow, becauseGodcannotlie!

OurGodisnotonlyaGodofPeace,but ofWar.Hehasnevereverbeendefeatedinbattle!Ukraine,noonecandefeatyou.IwillcelebratetheVictorywith you,becauseGodneverlies,Hefulfils everypromiseintheBook.Iwillbringyou onelastScripture.InMark11,onHisway intoJerusalem,Jesuscursedafigtree. Thefollowingmorningthetreewas dead.Peterwasastonished,how?!They wereontheMountofOlives,highabove theDeadSea.Jesussaid,“Havefaithin God.Whosoevershallsaytothismountain,‘beremovedandcastintothesea’, andshallnotdoubtinhisheart,butbelievethatthosethingshesaysshallcome topass,shallhavewhatsoeverhesays!”

Father,wecomeinJesus’Name,we standontheAuthorityofYourWord,and wedeclare:

YouhaveblessedUkraine;nocursecan comeuponUkraine.WhomGodhas blessed,nomancancurse.Wedeclare, noman,noarmy,shallstandagainst Ukraine.Noman,notevenPutin,can standagainstyou,becauseGodiswith you.Godishere,Heisdefendingyou. GodisworkingmiraclesbythePower andAuthoritythatisintheNameofJesus.Ukraine,youwillbevictorious,the enemywillbedefeated,Putinwillberemovedfrompower.Lord,bythePower andAuthoritythatisinYourNameandin YourWord,wedeclarethattheworldwill seeYourGlory,hereinUkraine.InJesus’ Name.Amen!

UKRAINE –GENOCIDEOFANATION?

On24thFebruary2022,withinminutesof Putin’sshort,televisedaddress,inwhichhe announceda‘specialmilitaryoperation’ to‘demilitarize’and‘denazify’Ukraine,the countrywasunderattackfromcruiseand ballisticmissiles,explosionsinandaround majorUkrainiancities,includingthecapitalKyiv.LowflyingattackhelicopterssuddenlyappearedoverGostomelmilitary airportoutsideKyiv,andby10.00thatfirst morning,theairporthadbeenseizedand thesurroundingcivilianapartmentblocks andinfrastructureblastedtodestruction.I havebeentoGostomelairport,andIhave seen.Thecommanderdefendingtheairportthatdayspokewithmeandtoldme himselfwhathappened.

MyownRepresentativeinUkrainetoldme whatthatdaywaslikeforhim.Hesaid,“I wokeupthatmorningtoajetfighterflying solowoverouroffice,whichismyhomein Kyiv,itmadeallthewindowsshake,and foramomentIthoughtitwouldhitthe house.Thatmorning,allUkrainewoketo realisethatthemostbrutal,barbaricattempttoobliterateournationfromthe faceoftheearthhadbegun.Thesurvival ofUkraine,ourrelatives,friends,loved ones,allwasinquestion,everyoneofus couldbekilled,aswellasthecountryitself.Sincethen,thissoberrealisationofthe criticalsituationweareinneverleaves me.It’snotfear,it’sunderstandingthatthis isthefightforourdestiny.”

RussiaexpectedtotakeKyivin3days, maximuminacoupleofweeks.They thoughttheywouldbegreetedwith flowers,attheveryleastthattheUkrainianswouldsurrenderwithoutresistance.But incontrasttheyweremetbyanation unitedintheirdeterminationtofightfor theirfreedomtillthelastdropoftheirown blood.

By20thMarch,lessthanonemonthafter theRussianinvasionbegan,approximately one-quarterofthecountry’stotalpopulation–womenandchildren–hadfledtheir

tionallyrecognisedcrimeagainsthumanity.

Inthefirst10monthsofthewar,theworld sawPutin’sRussiacommiteverywarcrime inthebook–theverysameindiscriminate warcrimestheycommittedearlierinthe twoChechenwarsandinGeorgia(both, likeUkraine,independentformerSoviet Republics),inLibya,Mali,theCentral AfricanRepublicandnotoriouslyinSyria… Aerialbombardmentsthatflattenedmajor cities,towns,smallsettlements,homes, apartmentblocksandlittledwellings–that smashedcivilianinfrastructure,powerstations,hospitals,schools,marketsandfood stores–wipingoutpeoplewaitingpatientlyinqueues,shelteringinunderground spaces,fleeingalongescaperoutes...In violationofinternationallawusingfirebombs,clusterbombs,phosphorusbombs, vacuummissiles…Torturing,murdering, raping,abductingandresettlingchildren inunknowndestinationsintheinteriorof Russia,pillaging,looting…Thousands, maybetensofthousandsofcivilians–adultsandchildren–werekilled,injured, crippled,kidnappedinonlythefirst10 monthsoftheRussianinvasion.

Why?To‘denazify’Ukraine–anationwith aJewishPresident?!TostopNATOencroachingonRussianbordersviaUkraine? ButNATOhadalreadyruledoutUkrainian accessionlongbeforethewar.Or,asthe Russiansalsosaid,Ukraineisn’tanationat

Pavlov publiclyannouncedthatthenext stage ofthewaragainstUkraine,(thesocalled‘specialoperation’),shouldbethe ‘de-satanisation’ofUkraine.Thisbecame apopularcryonsocialmedia,meaningin part,theexplosionofnewchurchesthat followedthecollapseofcommunism–the Russianscallthesenewchurchessects–whichhaveunited–yes,inprayer,under myleadershipasthedirectresultofthe unjustifiedRussianmilitaryannexationof CrimeaandoccupationofDonbas,East Ukrainein2014.PatriarchKyrilloftheRussianOrthodoxChurchcallstheRussian 2022invasiona‘HolyWar’,Putinafighter againstAntichrist–andhe,thePatriarch oftheRussianOrthodoxChurch,giveshis blessingtothemurderouswarofterrorbeingwagedonUkrainesoil.

PresidentZelenskyisaidon1stDecember 2022,“OurdesiretolivefreelyasanIndependentSovereignNation,asdeclaredon August24,1991,andconfirmedon December1,1991,willnotbebroken. Ukrainianswillneveragainbesmallcogsin someempire.Wehavealreadygained andwillensurethefullindependenceof ourstate.Wewillprotectourspiritualindependence.Wewillneverallowanyoneto buildtheirempireinsidetheUkrainian soul.”

WhetheryouareRussian,inhabitingthe propagandauniversecreatedbyPutin’s evilAlice-in-Wonderlandregime,oryou areastrangertothesethingsandliveina morenormalworld,itishardtokeepup withandcomprehendthechangingreasonswhyRussiafounditimperativetoruthlesslyattack,brutaliseandbutcherUkraine anditscivilianpopulation.ThoughPutinat firstsaidRussiadidnotintendto‘occupy’ Ukraine,headdedachillingwarningto othernationsinhisaddresson24thFebruary2022:“Toanyonewhowouldconsider interferingfromtheoutside:ifyoudo,you willfaceconsequencesgreaterthanany youhavefacedinhistory.Allrelevantdecisionshavebeentaken.Ihopeyouhear me,”hesaid.“Wewillkeepthenuclear optionopen.”

So,accordingtoPutin’s versionofhistory, Ukrainedidnotap-

fromthesummerthreshingfloors;thewindcarriedthem awaysothatnotraceofthemwasfound.AndtheStone thatstrucktheimagebecameagreatmountainandfilled thewholeearth”…

WhatcanbeknownfromhistoricalrecordsisthatUkrainianlandshavehad tiestoWesternEuropeandWestern Europeanrulingfamiliesfromtheearliest oftimes,andatcriticalmomentsinthe formationofUkrainianidentity,makingit linguisticallyandculturallydistinctfrom theRussiaweknow.Butforover100 years,sincethe1917CommunistRevolution,theworldhasknownUkraineonly asanintrinsicpartofRussia.TheWest hasbeensoldalie.

Moscow,orMoscovy,wasAsianandnot European,despitebeingontheeastern extremityoftheEuropeanContinental shelf.TheMongolinvasionsandconsequentheavyTataryoketoreRussia fromtheWest,isolatingitfromEurope, stampingitsunbendingstrengthonan ironautocracy–politicalandreligious–thatbrutalisedtheserfdomitcontrolled.

SeeingthegreaterprosperityoftheWest,Russiaonly beganasearchforclosertieswithEuropeunderPeter theGreat,thenCatherinetheGreatinthe18thcentury.MeanwhileUkrainewasfrequentlycrushed betweenthemillstonesoftheRussianEmpireonone side,andtheNordic/GermanicEmpiresandPrincipalitiesontheotherside.

Yetdespiteallthis,itisUkrainewhichhasoneofthe firstwrittenconstitutionsintheworld,dated5April, 1710!TheUnitedStatesofAmericafollowedsuit77 yearslaterin1787,FranceandPolandin1791.Russia, ontheotherhand,firstdraftedsomethingofaconstitutiononlyin1832,revisingitin1906–just11yearsbeforetheRussianRevolutionbroughtincommunismas thenewruleoflaw.Orshouldwerathersay,asanew ruleofterror,modelledonIvantheTerrible?

Fromthemiddletolate19thcentury,PolesandUkrainianswereconquerednations,butlivingwith autonomyundertheAustro-HungarianEmpire.Still,the never-endingEuropeanbloodlettingcontinued; boundariesofEmpiresandnationswereagainforcibly moved,andbythe1870sUkrainiansandPoleswere bothundertheruthlesscontroloftheRussianEmpire. RadicallysuppressingUkrainiannationalidentity,all journalistic,scientificandculturalactivitiesinthe Ukrainianlanguagewerebanned;localUkrainian teachersweresentintoexile,deepwithinthevastRussianexpanseandwerereplacedwithRussianeducators.Theturnofthe20thcenturyfoundtheUkrainians, andthePoles,inastateofcompletecaptivity–and this20thcenturywastoprovetobethemostviolent centuryyetinhumanhistory.

TheFirstWorldWarerupted–intheheartofEurope–in 1914.Itwasthefirstofthedeadliestglobalconflicts everseeninhistory.Themainbelligerentsincluded muchofEuropeandtheircolonialempires,including BritainandtheBritishEmpire,theUnitedStates,the RussianEmpire,theOttomanEmpireandtheJapaneseEmpire,withfightingintheMiddleEast,Africa,the Pacific,andpartsofAsia.Anestimated9millionsoldierswerekilledincombatworldwide,another23millionwounded,while5millionciviliansdiedasaresult ofmilitaryaction,hunger,anddisease.Millionsmore diedintheArmenianGenocidewithintheOttoman

Empire,andmillionsdiedinthe1918influenzapandemic,whichwasexacerbatedbythemovementof combatantsandtheirappallinglivingconditionsduringthewar.

ThewaronthecontinentofEuropeitselfwasawarof seismicupheavals,ofcrashingtectonicplates,with Germanyandherallies,theAustro-HungarianEmpire, theTurkish-OttomanEmpire,BulgariaandItaly,atthe epicentre,pittedagainstBritainandFranceonthe WesternFront,andagainstRussiaontheEastern Front.

Finally,seeingafailingTsaristregimeontheEastern Front,Germany,inadesperatebidtodestroyat leastonemortalenemy,sentacertainVladimirLenin –inasealedarmouredtrain–acrosswar-torn EuropeintoRussia,totoppletheRussianEmpireand,withGermanandAmericanfinances,tobringaboutthesuccessofthe 1917CommunistRevolution.However,Poles andUkrainians,whohadbeensincethe 1870ssubjugatedunderacruelTsarist yoke,werenowreadytorebelandto fightLenin’snewRedArmy.On22 January1918,Ukrainedeclaredan independentUkrainianPeople’sRepublic;butby8FebruarySoviet troopshadenteredandtaken Kyiv.Lenincreateda‘Soviet Republic’outofUkraineand, bydeportationsofwhole peoplegroups,Ukrainewas‘russified’overthefollowingdecades. Ukraineremainedunderthecontrol oftheUSSR(theUnionofSovietSocialistRepublics)until1991when theUSSRwasdissolvedintoits componentparts.All15Soviet Republicsthatmadeupthe USSR,ofwhichRussiawasa majorpart,regainedtheirindividualnationalindependence.

ButweintheWestinheritedthefalseidea thatUkrainewasjusta partofRussia.

UKRAINEIN20TH&21STCENTURIES REVOLUTION–OCCUPATION–GENOCIDE

Itisunconscionableinour21stcentury,thatPutin’sRussia hastwiceattemptedtotakeKyivasLenin’sRussiadidin 1918.ButtotakeKyivwasPutin’splanin2014whenRussian separatistsandRussiantroopsenteredDonbas,EastUkraine; inSlovyanskImyselfsawtheabandonedtankwith‘TOKYIV’ paintedonitsgunbarrel.ButtheRussianadvancewas stoppedpreciselythereinSlovyansk.Again,on24thFebruary2022,Russia’splanwastouseGostomelAirportasa platformfortheiroffensivetotakeKyivanddeposePresidentZelenskyi.

Backin2014,post-SovietUkrainewasstillanationwith somedividedallegiancesowingtotherussificationofthe countryinSoviettimes.IntheEastparticularly,twowhole generationshadgrownupandbeeneducated/indoctrin-

OutofthefourmajorlandEmpiresengagedinWorldWarI,(Germany,the Austro-HungarianEmpire,theOttoman EmpireandtheRussianEmpire),onlyone remainedintact:Russia.

WhilstfortheWesternAllies,hostilitieswith Germanycametoanendin1918,the RussianscontinuedfightingontheEasternFront–whichnowbecametheWesternFrontoftheRussianCivilWar–with theRedArmypushingontowardsCentralEurope.However,Lenin’sadvance wasfiercelyresistedbythePolish,Ukrainian,LithuanianandLatvianWarsofIndependence–allterritoriesformerlyheld, andoftenfoughtover,bytheAustroHungarianandRussianEmpires.WithPolandbeingthestrongestelementinthe resistance,thePolish-SovietWarbeganin lateAutumn1918andlasteduntil18 March1921.

PolandwasthebridgeLenin’sRedArmy hadtocrossinordertojoinwiththedevelopingrevolutionarycellsinCentral Europe.Thegoal:tobringcommunistrevolutionthroughoutEurope.Thefightput upbythePolesandUkrainiansfrom1918 to1921undoubtedlypreservedEurope fromtheworstofthereddevil.

TodayUkraineisagainprotecting Europe,thistimefromPutin’sdreamto restoretheEasternBlocoftheSovietEmpireasheknewitfrom1945-1989.Poland andtheBalticStatesunderstandthis;this iswhytheyaresoanxioustosupply

atedincommunistpartypropaganda.Theyhadknownlittle else.

FollowingPutin’sillegalannexationofCrimeaandoccupationofDonbasintheEast,Icalled7NationalDaysofUnited Prayer,whichwereledbytheHeadsofeveryChristianDenominationinUkraine,prayinginunity.Noothernationin theworldhaseversucceededinbringingalldenominations togetherasonebeforeGod.SowhenPutinagaininvaded Ukraineon24thFebruary2022,thewholeworldwasastonishedtoseethateveninthesecularrealm,Ukrainehadbecomeunitedasanation,spirituallybetterpreparedtoresist, withapower,bothunexpectedandunknown,todefenditselfagainstitsgreaterenemy.

weaponstoUkraine.PeaceinEuropein theyearstocomedependsonUkraine’s VictoryoverPutin’sImperialisticRussia today.NoVictory,noPeace.Yes,Europe andAmericaarepayingthepricefor peaceinUkrainewiththeirfinancesand resources,butUkraineispayingtheprice forthePeaceofEurope–withtheirown blood.

Inthesameway,itwasthePoleswho successfullyhaltedtheSovietarmy’s westwardaggressionin1921.Thepeace treatythatendedthePolish-SovietWar grantedPolandpossessionofWest UkraineandthecityofLviv,whilstSoviet forcestookcontrolofKyivandallofEast Ukraine.Ukrainiannationalidentitywas thusmercifullypreservedinWestUkraine, butheavilysuppressedbyRussiainthe East.

AcrossthewholeofEurope,the1920sremainedatimeofcommunistrevolutionaryupheaval–adangerHitlerandhis ‘brownshirts’regularlyandloudlyconfronted.Unfortunately,itishardtosee therealdifferencebetweentheways andthemeansemployedbyHitler’s brownandblackfascistsontheone hand,andtheredsontheother.InevitablytheriseofNaziGermanyledtothe SecondWorldWar,withtheUSSR,aswell asthefreeWesternWorld,fightingtoarrestanddismantleHitler’splanned1000yearThirdReich–thekingdom,with HitlerasMessiah,thatwastodestroyall kingdoms–thedevil’spre-emptiveattempttofulfilDaniel’sprophecy.

The1920sintheEastsawthesuppression ofnationalidentityandtheviolentrussificationofalllandsthathadbeenforciblyjoinedtotheUSSR.Lenindiedin 1924andwassucceededbytheeven

morereactionaryStalin.Stalin,whose idolwasIvantheTerrible,immediatelyinitiatedamassideologicalrepression whichlasteduntilhisdeathin1953.Hundredsofthousands,millions,ofso-called enemiesoftheStatewereexecuted;he oversawethniccleansingandmassive deportationsofwholepopulations–and setinmotiontheartificialfaminesthat starvedmillionsofinnocentSovietcitizenstodeath.

Withtotaldisregardforlife,Stalin’sinhumanpoliciesofforcedcollectivisationof theland,takingitawayfromthepeople, broughtaboutanimmediateandentirelyartificialfamine,firstinKazakhstan–whichledtothedeathofmorethana quarteroftherepublic’spopulation.This wasin1930.Usingtheperverselogicthat Putinstillusestoday,Stalindeclaredit wasthepeopleofKazakhstanwho broughtthisonthemselves.

HavingsuchsuccessinKazakhstan,and tosubduetheancientandinvincible Ukrainiannationalidentity,Stalinimplementedthesamedevastatingpolicyon Ukrainianterritory.1931,32and33sawa genocideagainsttheUkrainianpeople whichbecameknownastheHolodomor, deathbyhunger.Overnight,individual ownershipandtheoldtraditionalwaysof farmingthelandwereabolished.The grainharvestwascompulsorilyexported totheWesttofundtheindustrialisationof Sovietsociety,eventhe‘seedgrain’ neededforthenextyear’sharvestwas confiscated.Releaseofanyinformation inthepublicdomainwasacrime.Any starvingpersonfromthecountrysideappearinginthecitiesofUkrainewaspunishedasacriminal,a‘provocateur’ againsttheSovietState.Norecordsof thisgenocidewerekeptorallowed.Es-

Welshinvestigativejournalist,Gareth Jones,atonetimeprivatesecretaryto BritishPrimeMinisterDavidLloydGeorge, wastheonlyforeignreporterwhomanagedtopenetratetheSovietterritories wherethesystemicHolodomorwastakingplace.Hemade3visitsbetween 1931and1933,firstreportinganonymouslyintheWesternpress,but,having publishedunderhisownname,hewas bannedfromre-enteringtheSoviet Union.In1935hewasmysteriouslykidnappedandmurdered…TheEUofficially recognisedtheHolodomorasagenocidein2022.

TheonlyeffectivebastionofUkrainian identitythroughouthistoryhasbeenwith thepeasantsinthecountryside,who passedontheiruniqueidentitythrough theirlanguage,theirfolktraditionsand

culture–regardlessofwhoruledover them.Peasantswerenotnecessarily poor,butindustriousprosperousworkers; traders,farmers,artisans,artists,poets, historiansandscientists,sustainersof stablecommunities.TheywerethebulwarkofresistancetotheimposedSoviet wayoflifewithitssenseless5-yearplans andenforcedcollectivisationofland andofindustry.

WiththeUkrainianintelligentsialiquidatedpriortoandduringthefamine,the severityoftheHolodomorsawtoitthat UkrainiancultureintheSovietUnionwas virtuallyfullysuppressed.Ofcourse, Ukrainiannationalismstayedaliveinthe heartsandmemoriesofthoseUkrainians whosurvived,andofthosewhosomehowmanagedtoescapetheSoviet Union,eventhoughallexternalborders, aswellasallinternalborders,were closedtostoptheirflightoutofhell.This neartotalsuppressionlasteduntil Khrushchev’sthawcameinthe1950sto themid-1960s.Ukrainiannationalismfinallybegantoblossomunder Gorbachev’spoliciesofperestroikaand glasnostinthemid-1980s.

Worldwide,the20thcenturyisrecognisedasthebloodiestcenturyinhuman history.ForPutinhowever,thegreatest catastropheofthecenturywasnotWorld WarI,orWorldWarII,ortheHolodomor ortheHolocaustwhicharebarelyac-

WhoarePutin’sheroes?Stalin,andIvan theTerrible.Hisgoalsandmethodsare thesame.

Whenwe’reintrouble,theLordWILLreviveus!InPsalm13:3,inonetranslation, Davidissaying,‘REVIVEmeorIdie!’This istheextremity:ifyoudon’trevive,you die!Thinkaboutpeoplewhoareunconscious,inacoma,oringreatmedical difficulty,inanintensivecareunit–they needrevivingortheydie!Unlessthe Churchwillactuallyrevive–itwillloseall itsPowerandAuthority!

I’vetaughtmanytimesonJoel2,the formerandthelatterrainwhichfallinIsraelwhentheseedhasfirstbeensown, andagainimmediatelybeforeharvest. TheformerrainiswhathappenedinActs 2ontheDayofPentecost,andIdobelieveinasecondoutpouring,asecond Pentecost–whichwehavebeenexperiencing,certainlysincethebeginningof the1900s.ByGod’smercy,thiscoincidedwith,evenpreceded,theevents whichmadethe20thcenturythebloodiestcenturyyetinworldhistory.Thefirst evidencewastheGreatWelshRevivalin 1904,whenmyfatherwasconverted–somuchofwhatIam,haveanddo todaycamefromthat.

TherehavebeenrevivalsatmanydifferentperiodsinthehistoryoftheChurch. Onethatinterestsmeverymuchiswhat happenedintheRussian-speakingterritoriesinthe1920s.OrthodoxRussia,beforecommunism,hadthereputationof beingoneofthemostspiritualempires

Truthhasfalleninourday.Andtoday,thosewho‘depart fromevil’,whoseparatethemselvesfromevil,unfortunately oftensuffertroubleandpersecution,theybecomeaprey… AndthisdispleasesGod!

WhereistheIntercessor?Whowillhelpthevictim?

intheworld;evenso,undertheTsars, fromthetimeoftheReformationinWesternEuropeinthe1500s,inRussiathere hadalwaysbeenapersecutionofthe ProtestantandEvangelicalChurches. WhentheCommunistRevolutioncame in1917,followedasitwasbyyearsof massslaughter,theearlyMarxistswereso concernedaboutdominatingandcontrollingthepeople,thatinitiallythistook thepressureofftheChurch.So,whenin 1920,aPentecostalrevivalbeganin Ukraine,itspreaduncheckedforsome yearsacrossthewholeoftheformerImperial,nowSovietEmpire.Thatis,untilthe persecutionbeganagaininearnest.

Whatfollowedundercommunismisthat allChristianbelief–Orthodox,Catholic, Evangelical,Pentecostal–wasreplaced byMarxism,anintolerant,all-encompassing,pseudo-religion.Togeneratethis new‘belief’inMarxism,Christianityhad tobewipedout.Thenumbersofthepersecutedanddeadarebeyondcounting.Khrushchevevenboastedhewould displaythelastlivingChristianonTVbeforehisexecution.Yetdespiteeverything theChurchstillsurvived,dividedintothe ‘registeredchurches’whosurvived throughcompromise,andtheunregisteredor‘undergroundchurches’who ‘keptthefaith’butunderhorrificpersecution.

Eventually,anewleaderoftheSoviet Unioncametopower,Gorbachev,who initiatedarapprochementwiththeWest andbegantodismantleSovietideology. Aspartofthis‘glasnostandperestroika’, in1988heallowedandpromoteda state-widecelebrationoftheonethousandyearssinceGrandPrince VolodymyrbroughtChristianitytoKyivanRus!Ihadbeenworkinginthesecommunistcountriessince1961,andnowI sawithappening–aspiritualawakening!Iwaspartofit.Andit’sstillthere.

TheterriblethinginFranceisthatthey werethefirst‘Christian’nationtotryto destroyChristianreligion!Followingthe 1789FrenchRevolution,alawwas passedin1790subordinatingtheChurch totheState–thede-Christianisingof Francebegan;humanism/atheism/life withoutGodbecamethereligion,and Franceremainsforeverthebirthplaceof

modernsecularism.Infact,theFrench Revolutionandtheattempttode-Christianisethenationwastheblueprintforthe CommunistRevolution!Itistrue,in1801, Napoleonsignedanagreementwiththe Vaticanandformostofthe19thcentury, FrancewasagainofficiallyaCatholic country;butin1905alandmarklawwas passed,againestablishingtheseparationofChurchandState.Tothisday Franceis,aboveallelse,officiallyan atheistic,secularcountry.Yes,Christianity hassurvived,asitalwaysdoes,asitdidin CommunistRussia,evenunderthemost terribleofpersecutions.

TherewasatimewhenBritainwasavery Christiancountry.Longbeforeandeven rightuptothetimeoftheSecondWorld War,ourkeygeneralswereChristian, readtheBibleandprayed–andGod honouredthem,lookatthesevenWar DaysofPrayerwhenGodanswered everytimebyamiracle!Butwhathas happened?!Unfortunately,cominginto ministryin1950,Isawthepost-wardeclineofChristianityinBritain–justashad happenedincommunistRussia,where socialistictheorisingtooktheplaceof Christianfaith!ThedangerinBritain todayisthatweareseeingalotof‘moralising’,alotofsocialinstitutionsandorganisationsrisingup,alotofconcern aboutclimatechange,aboutcultural things,thepasthistoryofslavery,‘politicalcorrectness’–whydon’twewake uptothefactthattheONLYthingwhich willdeliverthisnationandbringusto whereweoughttobeisarevivingof realChristianFAITH?!WhichONLYcomes fromapersonalexperiencewithJesus Christwithrepentanceandacceptance oftheteachingoftheBible!

YouseeheretheimpactoftheoutpouringoftheHolySpirit–asattestedbythe preachingoftheGospelandbyhealing. ThemoreIreadthoseearlypartsofthe ActsoftheApostles,twosignsofthe PresenceoftheHolySpiritbecomeevid-

entagainandagain:theypreached wherevertheywent,andmiraclesof healingconfirmedtheWordtheyspoke. ThesetwothingsONLYcome–asaresult oftheoutpouringoftheHolySpirit!

Habakkuk3:2saysbluntly,“REVIVEYour WorkOLord!”Thisisthecrythatshould comefromusatthisverytime,“Lord,REVIVEYourWork!”ButwhenGodrevives HisWork,Herevivesit–inus!

TheChurchneedstogetbacktothe Bible:todaywehaveEVERYTHINGthat JesusandtheApostleshad,thePOWER OFTHEHOLYSPIRITandthemiracleofthe RESURRECTIONOFJESUSASEVIDENCE!

Ilivebyprayerandthepowerofintercession.PrayerismydailycommunicationwithGod,IwalkandtalkwithHim. Whatweneed,whatIprayfor–isaspiritualawakeningthatwillbringbackthe FIREANDTHEPOWERintotheChurch–by believingandlivingtheBible.OGod, answerourprayerinJesus’Name.Becausetheurgencyisthis–JesusHimself askedthequestioninLuke18:8,“When theSonofMancomesback,willHefind FAITHontheearth?”

Thatisaquestionwehavetoanswer.

HOWISIT POSSIBLE?!!

Since1991IhavetravelledwithDavid’s ministrythroughouttheformerSoviet Union,inUkraineandinRussiaespecially –that’smorethan30years–thehappiest yearsofmylife!Yearsinwhichfreedom cametotheSlavicpeopleswhohad beenenslavedundercommunismfor70 years!

IpersonallyfirstsawtheoutpouringofmiraclesinWestUkraine,inJune1991,afew monthsbeforethefreedom.Itbecamea massiveoutpouring,alloverUkraine,Russia,SiberiaandtheRussianFarEast.Iam awitnesstoitall.Isawthepoverty,the rampantinflation,thecorruptionandthe misery.Isawthespiritualhungerofthe people,andtheLoveofGodpouredout ‘onallflesh’indirty,dustystadiums–the brokenstandsfilledwithdesperate people–kidsandtheelderly,professionals,mafiabusinessmen,vagabonds, drunkards–andwilddogstoo–listening intentlytotheGospel,answeringthecall tosalvation–receivingmiraclesofhealing–ofeverykind–asinBibledays!Iwas thewitness–IhadtoopenupmyBible andre-readtheGospelsalloveragain!

Ihavelookedintoseeingeyesthatwere blind,Ihaveseencripplesjumpupand run,Ihaveseeninvalidsgetoutoftheir wheelchairsandwalk.Ihaveseenevery kindofmiracle;stormsstopped–many times–intheNameofJesus;helicopters andplanesprovided–intheSiberian taigawheretherewasnotransportand noway.Iremember,asinslowmotionina film,thezeal,thebrightnessofthemissionariesweworkedwith–manyofthem Ukrainianbelieverswhopouredouttheir heartsandlivestobringtheGospelofJesusChristtoRussia,theancientlandofexilewheresomanyoftheirrelativeshad perished.

Ihaveseensomanywhogavetheirlives totheLordinthosepost-communistcountries,nowministersandhelpersinthe churches.IhaveseentheLoveofGod pouredoutequallyonall.HowisitpossiblethattheRussiaIknewinthe1990s–opentotheGospel–lovedbyGod–has becomethehatefulnationitistoday?!

Butlookingback,howdidInotgrasp

whatIsaw?!Unprecedentedrevivalwas happening,but…in1998inMoscow, DavidandIwereguestsataplenary CongressofPentecostalandCharismatic ChurchLeaders.Agovernmentminister explainedfromtheplatformaraftofnew lawsdesignedtomonitor,controlandrestricttherightsandactivitiesoftheseburgeoningevangelicalchurches...Ominous laws,andcontrarytotheRussianConstitutionwhichguaranteesfreedomofreligion!

Thentheendof1999sawPresidentYeltsin strategicallypositionPutinashissuccessor. Putin’sfirstjob–thechilling2ndChechen War,inwhichtheChechencapitalcity wasreducedtorubble–popularinRussia –but‘welcometohell’!Aftertwo4-year terms,in2008Putinbrieflyand‘cosmetically’exchangedpostswithhisPrimeMinister,but,asDavidsaidtome,“Markmy words,PutinwillbebackasPresidentat theendofthis4-yearterm.”Andhe cameback–torewriteRussianConstitutionalLawtoestablishhimselfasPresident,virtuallyinperpetuity!IwillnotanalyseherePutin’smethodstoattractand intimidateawholenationtofollowafter him–hediditasHitlerdidinhisday.

Iremembersomeunsettlingincidents: falseflagterrorismwithinRussia–the shockinganddisastrousresolutionsofthe hostagecrisisinaMoscowtheatrein 2002,andofthesiegeoftheschoolinBeslanin2004,wheresomanyinnocentperished…

AndGeorgia…OneofthefirstSovietRepublicstodeclareindependencefrom theUSSRin1991,Georgiawasoneofthe 15Republicstobelegallyrecognisedas independentstateswhentheUSSRformallydissolveditselfattheendofthe year…

…In2010,IwasinGeorgiawithDavidfor thefirstmassiveevangelismeverheldin thehistoryofthatnation.Irememberthey werestillinshock,talkingabouttheRussianinvasionofAugust2008,just2years before,whenPutinlaunchedafull-scale land,air,andseaattack–callingita ‘peaceenforcementoperation’!Howisit thattheinternationalcommunitydidnot

react,thoughRussiastilloccupies20%of Georgia’sinternationallyrecognisedterritory?!!

HowdidInotseewherePutin’sRussiawas heading?Yes,Isawthedisdainfulandinsultingattitudecommonamongsome RussianstowardsUkrainians...ButIdidn’t knowthenwhatIknownow–thecenturiesofbloodyaggression,Russianagainst Ukrainian,recordedinhistoryforallto see!Andwhatweareseeingnowisevil playedoutonamassivepoliticalscale.

Anyhatefulnessthatisnursedandallowedtogrowwithintheheartofanyindividual,ofanynation,becomesamortal sicknessofthesoul.Proverbssays,‘Keep yourheartwithalldiligence,foroutofit aretheissuesoflife’!JesusHimself warned,Matthew15:19,“Vipers!Outof theheartcomeevilthoughts…murder…” Aggressor,collaborator,victim,bystander –whatfestersinyourheartandmine?!
