CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF PROPHETIC VISION MAGAZINE

Only two geographical areas are identified in prophecy relating to the last days before Christ’s return: the Middle East, including Israel; and Europe, including Russia. God has given me a revelation concerning Russia, Europe and Israel so clear, that it’s like looking down on a map of the devil’s strategy, but I also see God’s strategy, what He wants to do. This puts an awesome responsibility on us to act. I was a boy during World War II. Aged 7-13 years I watched the bombs falling over London from my bedroom window – this is where I learned to pray. And I prayed for revival. From my youth up, I have a vision burning in my soul – a vision of Europe won for Christ: ‘Eurovision’. This vision is God’s vision, God’s desire – to see His power, His glory in Europe, and I will not rest until God fulfils this vision that He has put within my heart. God had a vision when He created the world, and the Bible says that when God spoke, the vision came to life! A world with no sin, suffering, hunger, disease, pain or death. God in Heaven had a glorious vision of a beautiful, perfect world, where man lived in harmony with man and in communion with God. When God began to create the earth, it was to fulfil this vision He already had. When He looked at the nations of Europe – the Middle East – Russia – Africa – Asia – America – He saw a glorious creation, filled with His glory and power! Then the devil came and ruined God’s dream. He brought disobedience, fear, sin and death – all the things that distress and disturb our world came from Satan when he sowed that first seed of doubt, ‘Did God say?’ But God had another vision, ready, in anticipation of Satan’s action! This was that He would send His Son into the world, that Jesus, by His power and authority, by His death and resurrection, would break the power of Satan, set men free – a vision of men and women saved from sin, delivered from sickness, filled with the Holy Ghost – waiting for the final redemption, when God will restore the earth to its first glory! For this reason the Bible, speaking of Jesus, refers to Him as ‘the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world’. So before sin

came, the way of redemption was prepared! If you could catch the glory and the power of this vision that God has within His heart today, it would change your life, your church, your nation – as it has changed mine. For thirty years under communism I preached in Eastern Europe. It was so hard with all the barriers, all the problems of the Iron Curtain, and with the churches being underground (illegal – hidden), because of persecution. Despite my one year in a communist prison for preaching and for Bible smuggling (1972-3), by the 1980s I was openly evangelising in Eastern Europe – most powerfully in Hungary. Then in 1986 God gave me a vision that the borders would open, that the Iron Curtain would be melted by the power of the Holy Spirit, and He challenged me to hold a prophetic conference in West Germany, and to believe for hundreds to come from the East, across the borders! In 1988 and again in 1989, thousands of Westerners attended, and each time six hundred delegates came from the East, by a miracle, through the Iron Curtain! I stood almost alone at that time – little money, few workers – I only had the Holy Spirit. But my vision was of God and His glory, and in 1989, just days after the end of the second East-West Conference, the vision and the prophecy were fulfilled and the Iron Curtain came down! When God gave me this vision that He would break the Iron Curtain, He showed me that the power of the Holy Spirit would then sweep across the whole of Europe from East to West. So I followed the East Europeans and the Russians back into their own countries, and since 1989 so much of prophecy has been fulfilled! In 1992 we saw revival fire fall in Odessa, Ukraine – a move of the Holy Spirit that is still sweeping the whole of the former Soviet Union today. Also in 1992, I was the first evangelist ever to take the prestigious Dynamo Stadium in Kiev for the preaching of the Gospel! One young man, who now pastors the largest church in South Ukraine, said, “Miracles became very strong in Ukraine after David’s crusade in Kiev in 1992. Until then it had been hard, but from that point it was a breakthrough and miracles became

very simple.” Two students, who were my interpreters then, became pastors of the largest churches in Kiev – in all Europe – their congregations all new converts! Then God showed me that I must go to the far side of Russia, to the Far East of Siberia, and that the revival that would come into Europe would come from there. One young man who evangelised with me in Siberia in 1994, now pastors the largest Messianic congregation in Europe – in Kiev. And many of the churches in Ukraine who worked with me in those early days of the freedom in the 1990s are now evangelising in Europe – especially amongst the Russian émigrés in Israel, in Germany, Spain and Portugal. Europe has religion, but is the least evangelised continent in the world. In Israel and Europe my strongest support is from those converted in Ukraine, Russia and Siberia in the early days! God wants to set Europe on fire by His Holy Spirit. In the former Soviet Union we saw hundreds of thousands accept Christ, and thousands upon thousands of miracles of healing! From 2002 we developed the most amazing system of evangelism – broadcasting the whole crusade services live on the local TV channels, not just to the city, but to the whole region – prime time! So that not just 6,000 but the whole region could participate – up to five million people – we broadcast the music, Gospel message, call to repentance, prayer for the sick – and God answered by fire! Miracles happened live on air – people watching at home were saved, healed, and came next day into the crusade meetings to report the miracles! But we did not stop there. By the following Easter we had bought our own satellite equipment to enable us to link regions right across Russia, broadcasting on their ordinary TV. We reached over 10 million on terrestrial TV that first Easter! Then in 2005 the freephone system was introduced into Russia and Ukraine. So now we had the idea – and in January 2006 at the Russian Orthodox Christmas, when there are no restrictions on religious programming, we set up all-Russia broadcasts with freephone lines run by the churches, making personal contact with the millions watching! It was so successful, that we ran all-Russia and all-

Ukraine crusade broadcasts eight times in all – reaching up to 80% of the population, until the Gospel was preached and I was known from the smallest village right up to the Kremlin, from one side of the former Soviet Union to the other! The programmes were so popular they were pirated and reshown many, many times over – we know, because the freephone calls continued to come in! By 2008 God had shown me that the time for me to move out of Russia into Europe had come. Together with my team of Russian organisers, we pioneered the largest evangelistic meetings ever held in this generation in Europe – first in Tallinn, Estonia (2008), then in Vilnius, Lithuania (2009 & 2010), Krakow and Katowice in Poland (2012 & 2014) – with national broadcasts on the secular TV! Most remarkable of all is the move of God in Israel together with my Russian organisers and the Russian Jewish Holocaust survivors – preaching Messiah to the largest unbelieving audiences in Israel since the time of Christ. The Bible says that faith (or even vision) without works is dead (James 2:26). We have begun – and God has called us not only to begin, but to finish the work – the vision came from God, and He will do it. All we have to do is obey Him! Yes, I have a vision; this is why the Holy Spirit burns in my soul. But the day of visions is almost at an end. This is the day of action. God is challenging Europe. God is putting a new power in the Church. In Numbers 27, Moses says this to God, ‘Let God choose a man, let God set a man over the whole people!’ The Lord answered Moses and said, ‘Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man on whom My Spirit rests.’ – Joshua was already a man full of the Spirit! I have a message for you: God has already chosen men; God has already put His power within them! There is no waiting. God says, ‘There are men now, men and women, and I have ALREADY

put My power in them!’ We pray for revival, we wait for revival and say, ‘If I had the power I would preach, if I had the anointing I would heal the sick, I would raise the dead.’ But God says, ‘The men I have chosen have the power already, at this moment, within them!’ Today! Now! The Holy Ghost is here! So often we are waiting for the Holy Spirit, for God’s power to move. But I ask this question: is there any power greater than that which raised Jesus from the dead, that fell on the day of Pentecost, and that has fallen on you? There is no power other than the Holy Spirit! If only we would get the vision of the power that has already been given to us who have received the Holy Spirit! Take the anointing by faith and go out and do it now! Don’t talk to me only about a vision for the future. The vision is for now, today! I have the power – Pentecost fell on me – I have the glory of God – and so do you! The glory of God is here – just open your eyes and see! Get the vision. Mix your vision with faith. Act! Nothing is impossible! Read Ezekiel 12:22 where God rebukes the church, “What is this proverb you have: ‘The days go by and every vision comes to nothing’?” God says, “I will put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it… The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled!” God is saying, “In your church, in your nation, you say the prophet is prophesying about something you say cannot happen for a long time, that Europe is not yet ready, it’s impossible.” But God says in verse 28, “None of My words shall be delayed any longer, the word I have promised will be fulfilled.” We have seen God begin to move in Ukraine, in Russia, in East Europe, even in Israel. But God says, “Speak to the whole of Europe, none of My promises will delay any more. Everything I have promised – everything I have written, everything in the Book – all that you have believed for – is going to happen! The Word which I have spoken shall be

done. The day of visions is ended, now is the day of action!” I speak on the authority of the Word of God to the whole of Europe. We must declare the power of God – because God has spoken! Today Europe is in spiritual bondage, worse than at any time in its history. But God wants to demonstrate His power in Europe. For over fifty years I have a vision of revival that burns in my soul; God WILL work greater miracles than Europe has ever seen! Europe is in sin – but if only you could fully understand the love that God has for the sinner! Why? First, He wants to save them from the fire of hell; second, because He needs them to fulfil His purpose in bringing the glory of Christ into the world! Look how much of God’s time and energy is directed towards saving the sinner! In God’s plan the lost sheep takes priority over the safe ones – every time! In my crusades I do not see the people as others might – I see all the energy and power of God concentrated at that moment on reaching these people’s hearts, not merely their heads – I see individuals whom God desperately wants in His Kingdom – because I know what God wants to do in their lives. All of us once were sinners whom God loved, chose, fashioned and created. As an evangelist I know that when God looks at sinners, He doesn’t just see alcoholics, drug addicts, the hopeless broken lives. What He sees is the potential, what you can be when He touches you! God is always seeing the future. When you were still a sinner, God saw something in you He wanted. Sometimes it takes a long time – with Moses it took 80 years to form the real man that God could use to do the job! If only you knew what God sees in you, if you could see yourself as He sees you, not as you see yourself! What a difference it could make in your life if you would recognise your potential with God!

David Hathaway Biel in Switzerland, February 2015 Last year I was speaking at a very large church with over 10,000 present. They invite many famous preachers from all over the world. “But,” the pastor said, “we have the best preachers in our church and my people love to hear them. The trouble is, they listen – and they don’t change! My concern is, they HEAR the Word, BUT IT DOES NOT CHANGE THEM!” We all get some very difficult experiences. But what creates and defines your character, and with it your whole Christian life, is your REACTION, not just to what is said, but what happens to you! I’m a twin. There are twins in the Bible – God only ever chooses one. In my case we grew up together, we found Christ together, we were baptised together, and went to Bible College together. I ask God many times why He chose me instead of my brother to fulfil this prophetic and powerful evangelistic ministry. Only God knows why, although what I have done, and am increasingly still powerfully doing, is to me like a dream come true! I love what I do – what I receive from God and what I am enabled to do far exceeds my wildest childhood dreams! God is looking right down on all of us today, at this moment, while you are reading this. God is here in the person of the Holy Spirit, His presence is not dependent on atmosphere, God is searching our hearts, testing, trying us, seeking to know who and what we really are – and could become with His power! Today, at this moment – maybe God is looking for the baby in the river, who will become Moses? The illegitimate shepherd boy who will become the Goliath-slaying David? The prophet Samuel, an only son alone in the darkness? Elijah?!! God is certainly concerned about our reaction to circumstance. Maybe the only difference between you and me and someone else, is in the REACTION… HOW do we as Christians react? In extreme circumstances, do we react with courage, determination, faith and boldness – or with weakness, doubt, despair, despondency and lack of faith? I sometimes feel that our ‘Christian message’ encourages complacency, mediocrity, meekness and submission! What a misleading prayer

they taught me as a child, ‘Gentle Jesus meek and mild, look upon a little child...’ In the right challenge, Jesus was neither gentle, meek nor mild! He debated with the philosophers age 12, age 33 whipped the money changers and thieves out of the Temple, spoke against hypocrisy with the Scribes and Pharisees, defended sinners against physical attack, rebuked the devil in person, was beaten, tortured, thrown off a cliff…! He feared no man, Roman or Jew, and became followed by thousands as a man amongst men! My hero! What did God see in me – the last born and weaker twin, or in Jacob the deceiver, or even David the outcast son? Did God see in advance how we would react to circumstance? How did I react when in 1961 I wanted to be in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost for another Baptism of Fire? I was married, had no money to pay for the air tickets… But I was so determined, that I planned to travel overland across Europe from Dover, 6500 miles across uncharted territory, through the Iron Curtain, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, becoming the first person to travel from London to Israel by road! It changed the whole direction of my life and ministry! How would I react in 1964 when, after 3 months of prayer, God did not heal my throat cancer? Did God already know that I would pray in desperation, “If You want me to stay in England, don’t heal me – but if You want me to leave the security of my home, church and ministry and go to Russia and Israel – I need an immediate miracle to heal me”? And that I would do exactly that for the next 50 years? Did God actually allow that throat cancer to provoke me into a ministry that would become the largest evangelistic ministry in Europe and see tens of thousands of miracles, not just healings, but storms stopped, financial miracles and all the miracles that made Siberia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Russia, the Ukraine, the rest of Europe, and now even Israel, possible? When in 1972, I was put in the communist prison, what was I going to do? Four months of interrogation. Then the trial before the court. Thank God I was found guilty! How many of us Christians, if we were on trial for our faith, would

be convicted in a court of law?!! When Jesus was put on trial, He was convicted, found guilty. I couldn’t be convicted for bringing in Bibles, because having a Bible was not against their law – even if they called it a filthy book – yet it was because of the Bibles that I was before the court. When I analysed my own trial, the only thing on which they could finally convict me was the same thing they convicted Jesus for – sedition against the State. They said the Bible attacks the State! But what was my REACTION? While in prison. I received letters from Christians saying, “David, we’ve heard the good news. You’ll only be in prison for 10 years, then they will release you!” I REACTED angrily! Do they think this prison is a luxury hotel like an English prison? Choice of menu, TV, sports facilities? The reason the Russian Holocaust survivors accept me is because they know I was in one of their communist prisons. Six million Jews died in the Holocaust. But Stalin killed up to 60 million of his own people! That’s 1 in every 222, murdered by the regime! So they understand what I went through. But what was my reaction? It was – I WANT TO GET OUT but HOW?!! I was in a foreign country, I didn’t speak the language. My prison was surrounded by armed guards, electric fences, barbed wire, dogs – but the whole country I was in was also surrounded by barbed wire, fences and guards! If I got out of the prison, I wouldn’t get out of the country – it was a double prison! So my REACTION was to pray for a miracle! I said, “Lord, Paul and Silas were in prison, they prayed, You sent an earthquake and set them free! What You did for them, You can do for me! Your power is not less today than in the days of the Bible, please get me out!” What happened to Peter who was also in prison? The Christians prayed for his release, but what was their reaction – even when Peter was knocking on the door of the house where they were praying?!! They actually said, ‘It can’t be Peter – he’s in prison!’ – But weren’t they praying for God to get him out by a miracle?!! Yes, but they didn’t expect the answer. Their reaction was complete doubt – the one at the door cannot be Peter – we know he’s in prison, it must be his angel!!!

So I was DETERMINED to pray my way out of my prison, both to PROVE that God answers prayer and that God works miracles TODAY as big as He did in the days of the Bible! God knew how I would react, and He had already prepared the answer. The fact that I was not just released early after one year, but that the British Prime Minister came personally to rescue me and flew back to London with me on the plane in a blaze of publicity shown on TV and in all the newspapers, was a public declaration of a ‘Biblical Miracle’ in the 20th century!!! But when God allowed me to be arrested – He knew in advance what my

reaction would be! Often my reaction is somewhat extreme, because people are telling me that God is not big enough or powerful enough to do what we ask. All I know is that the Bible says God does the impossible things if we dare to ask Him – after all there are many gods in this world – but the God I worship is the miracle Creator of Heaven and Earth, and the only real evidence of who He is – is seen by His miraculous actions!! If you believe God, you believe His Word – it’s the same thing! God and His Word are the same! The decisions I have taken in my life have been

formed by the Word of God. If you believe God, nothing is impossible – I expect miracles – the Bible teaches you to expect a miracle. – What is your reaction? Anybody can pray, but only the real believer knows how to get answers from God. And the answer, when it comes, does not come in the ordinary way – but by fire! We must live by prayer and the Word of God! What else do you have? The Bible says that man does not live by the ordinary things, but by every Word that comes from the mouth of God. I believe Him. Let your reaction be – never give up, translate your faith and prayer into action!!! He will not fail you.

If the LORD be God, follow Him, but if Baal, then follow him! But the people answered Elijah not a word. – 1 Kings 18:21. Moslems are always boasting about their ‘god’. But today many Christians believe that Allah and the God of the Bible are one and the same. But our God is the God of Israel and the Jews, the Creator of Heaven and earth, a God of power, authority and miracles, who sent His Son to die for us. Our symbol is therefore the Cross on which Christ died! The Moslem ‘God’ is represented everywhere by the crescent horns (moon) of Baal the bull and the Egyptian Moon God. Allah is NOT the God of Israel, he is NOT the God of the Bible and NOT my God. My God is a God of love, forgiveness, healing, power – and He gives men new life! He saves the sinner! Why aren’t we boasting about what our God can do?!! Come on!! The Church is so silent! If we confuse our God with the ‘god’ of Islam, oh God, help us!!! The Koran is a corruption of Jewish Scripture and of the New Testament. For the Moslem, inheritance, relationship with God, is through Ishmael and Mohammed their prophet. Their version of Jesus is of a lesser prophet than

A covenant is an agreement between two parties, or two people. God’s dealings with us are not one-sided. A covenant is only legal if it has the agreement of BOTH parties. Let me ask you, what is your agreement with God? In Deuteronomy 5:2-3 Moses is speaking: ‘The Lord our God made a covenant with us at Horeb. – The Lord did not make this covenant with your fathers, but with all of us, all of you who are here and alive today!’ The danger is that the Church lives in the past – in all the ceremony, ritual and tradition – of what our fathers did, of what we always do… Until so often, tradition becomes more important than Biblical authority! Christian! God has given us a personal covenant!

Mohammed; a man who was rescued alive from the cross and did not die for our sins; who went on to marry and live a normal life; who will nonetheless return in the last days to lead Christians worldwide into submission to Allah and to his prophet Mohammed. Such a man – should he appear – must be THE Antichrist! God is not divided and does not hold two different opinions or have two separate plans. His plan for the salvation of mankind from the curse of sin and death is through the ‘Seed of Adam’ – whom we know as Jesus Christ, the ‘Son of Man’ – as revealed in Genesis 3:15; Scripture reveals that this blessing comes through Abraham, a Jew, and his ‘promised child’ – whom Scripture declares to be Isaac, NOT Ishmael (Genesis 12:3b; Genesis:17:17-21); Scripture declares that the God of our salvation is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – through whom comes Jesus, the lamb slain from before the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8); He – Jesus – is the fulfilment of God’s eternal unchanging plan.

God says: ‘I did not just make this covenant with your fathers.’ My father was a godly man, a great preacher, a student of prophecy, one of the first to receive the Holy Spirit, converted in the Welsh Revival. But God did not make MY covenant with my father! I’m not here because of my father. I’m here because of God. MY covenant is with God, God’s covenant is with ME! I KNOW the covenant, I KNOW what God has promised. I KNOW the truth and power of God’s Word. God says, I will not break My covenant with David Hathaway – Psalm 89:3, 34-35. IT BURNS INSIDE ME WITH LETTERS OF FIRE: ‘God is not a man, He cannot lie!’ – Numbers 23:19. I can take all the power of His written covenant into my life, everything in the Book! When I had lung cancer, I refused treatment; I went to the Word of God! God promised me HEALTH and HEALING – Jeremiah 33:6. He said to me, ‘If I can break My covenant with day and night, then I can break My covenant with David!’ –

Jeremiah 33:25-26. So every morning when the sun gets up, it reminds me of the covenant! Every time the sun sets, God’s reminding me of the covenant. I think in my ministry I have seen more miracles of healing than any other man living today. Hundreds, thousands. Cancers, blindness, broken limbs – in the Name of Jesus – healed! I have a COVENANT with God! The reason why I may appear different – why some people find it hard to accept what I do – is simply in the way God has revealed it to me – not as a covenant from the past – not based on the faith of my father – nor the faith of other great men of God – but a covenant peculiar and personal to me. Something stronger than a call or a commission, stronger than a vision – a covenant which I KNOW God has made with me! And remember what a covenant is: an agreement between two parties, or two people. God’s dealings with us are not one-sided – but a covenant it is only binding and legal if it has the agreement of both parties! Let me ask you, what is your agreement with God?

– civil war – br But 700 km to the east I spent one week in March in Ukraine and was both shocked and encouraged by what I found. Shocked by the level of suffering and the bitterness of the opposing groups, brother against brother, Russian against Ukrainian, Ukrainian against Russian. Death and destruction, poverty and hunger. In one of my meetings in a town outside Kiev, people had travelled 15 hours to come from inside the war zone of Donetsk. One new church in Kiev – every member, a refugee from the war zone, including the pastor. But on the other side, I was encouraged, it’s like going back 20 years, with people more open to receive Christ than when freedom first came after the collapse of communism! Salvation! Outstanding healings!

God is moving, we have to respond NOW! No one, not even politicians, can predict the future in Europe. I must return to evangelising Ukraine immediately, while a door remains open; as I write this in March, the fighting could recommence any time! We have to understand that Russia, the world, is moving fast in new directions – which is leading to the rapid fulfilment of many Bible prophecies concerning the last days. All I know is that God is calling me to respond to the emerging situations – and not only Ukraine and Russia, but Slovakia and even Denmark and Switzerland are opening to the Gospel in a new way!

As always God’s Voice is urgent – we have to respond NOW!

Much of the revelation of the book of Daniel forms the basis of my film ‘The Rape of Europe’. Daniel is talking about the last days, about the Beast, the evil things that must happen. But what he says in Chapter 11:32, I want to repeat to you as a CHALLENGE. When he had finished talking about all the evil things that are coming on the world, Daniel says, ‘BUT those who KNOW their God, the people who KNOW their God – will be STRONG, they will do EXPLOITS!’ ‘EXPLOITS’! Do we as Christians really understand what this means? German and Russian and Danish translations don’t put it strongly enough! It’s watered down! Daniel, the exiled Jewish refugee in Babylon, is the prophet best known for his end-time prophecies, from the translation of Nebuchadnezzar’s Image to the prophetic visions of the works of the devil, and all the demonic things that are going to happen before the end of the age and the return of Christ. While many would debate the complexities of the visions and their time-scale, here, by the Holy Spirit, the man who is talking so much about all this evil, issues a direct challenge to the Church! He says, ‘BUT – in these evil days that are coming – the people who KNOW their God won’t be weak! They won’t be defeated! They’ll be on FIRE! And they are going to do EXPLOITS!’ Miracles? I don’t know what your Bible translation says, but I KNOW what God is saying! EXPLOITS are things other people can’t or don’t do! If you’re going to do an EXPLOIT, it’s something that your friends don’t do, something that even the Church doesn’t do, something that other pastors, other evangelists don’t do. It’s going to be something bigger, more powerful! One of the biggest battles that I have, is to convince people of who our God is! If you KNOW Him and His enormous power, you will do miraculous EXPLOITS! If you are not able to do these things, is it because you don’t really know the power of God? If the Church and the Christians are powerless – why is it?!! Why?!! It’s because they don’t experimentally know what miracles my God has already done! I’m faced with this all the time: people, who have not experienced or realised that God’s power is unlimited, question His ability! Even my own advisors from time to time tell me, “You can’t do these things! You don’t have the money! Be reasonable! Why can’t you be like ordinary men?!!” I have to explain, to share all the miraculous things that God has made to happen in my own life... ...I’ve been healed of cancer twice – in both cases by an absolute miracle. I only left my church and became a full-time evangelist after God healed my throat cancer. Why? Because when I had the cancer, I said, “I believe in a God of miracles.” I told the doctors I didn’t need their help... But after three months the cancer had grown so big, they only gave me three days, then they must operate. And in those three days the miracle happened!!! How? – I said, “Oh God, if You want me to be like other men, don’t heal me! I’ll go to the doctors and I’ll tell them You couldn’t do it! But, if You don’t want me to be like other men, if You want me to do EXPLOITS, I need You to work a miracle in me!” When you experience a miracle, it’s DYNAMIC! The miracle was SO BIG, that when I went back on the third day – no, the cancer had not ‘disappeared’ – my God had cut it out with a knife and left a scar!!! The mark showed the operation He had made!!!

When the doctors said, “Who did it?!! Which hospital?!! Which doctor?” – I said, “His Name is Jesus!” I KNEW Him! You can’t do EXPLOITS unless you KNOW the power your God has! I have such battles with Christians over the question of belief! I have experienced God doing things that were impossible in my own life – so many times – that to me He has become the God of the impossible! From experience I can say, “With God ALL things are possible, everything He does is a miracle!” What kind of a ‘God’ do you have? The only limitation God has is our belief in His power – He can do ANYTHING we ask and believe He can do!! Mark 11:23-4. My God’s power is totally UNLIMITED – because I KNOW who He really is! Only when you KNOW the power and glory of our God – only then will you not be like ‘other men’. Only those who REALLY KNOW WHO HE IS can do EXPLOITS. We need the Spirit that was in Elijah, in Moses, in David – in Jesus – and is in me – the Holy Spirit! People don’t understand me when I EXPECT God to do the IMPOSSIBLE! The challenge in my life, the reason why I’m so healthy at my age, why I can’t die, can’t quit, can’t give up, is because somebody has to show the world WHO THIS JESUS IS!!! Somebody has to! And until you get up and do it better than me, I shall go on doing it!!! I will not die, I will not grow weak, and the FIRE will not go out!!! We need AUTHORITY, but if you don’t KNOW God, you don’t have His authority. IF you know Him, TAKE His authority! I have it! I have such authority that, in the darkest communist years, I had permits to travel throughout all the communist countries in Europe! That’s God, it’s an amazing story! But ok, in 1972 at the height of the Cold War, I was arrested for preaching the Gospel and smuggling Bibles... but God released me by a powerful miracle... only because I KNEW how far I could trust Him! You can only be strong and do these exploits if you KNOW who God is! In Romans 12:1 Paul writes to YOU: ‘I’m PLEADING with you’ – he’s using

expressive language – ‘I’m pleading on my knees, I’m fighting a battle with you, I want you, I need you to present your bodies as a LIVING SACRIFICE!’ Christians, that’s tremendous! – Jihadists blow themselves up, believing that they serve God by sacrificing their lives! I want to tell every Moslem, every jihadist, if you blow yourself up, you burn in hell! Hell is the most terrible thing you can imagine. But God is saying to us through the Apostle Paul, ‘I beseech you, I plead with you – present your bodies as a LIVING sacrifice!’ People ask me why I am an evangelist when I say God never called me as an evangelist! When I was a boy of fifteen, I was with a group of young people on holiday, walking along Brighton beach. But God and the devil are NEVER on holiday – I was having the battle of my life! I had been preaching since I was thirteen, I had received the Baptism of Fire when I was still only thirteen, and the devil was saying, ‘That’s enough! Don’t do any more, be normal like ordinary people!’ – That’s what everybody tells me even today! But God was saying, ‘David, I want YOU! I want EVERYTHING! Your feet, your hands, your heart, your mouth, your mind, your money, your family, your time – EVERYTHING!’ And I could get no peace until that night I said, “Lord, I give You EVERYTHING!” That is the fulfilment of Romans 12:1. It’s the message for YOU! – Paul says to YOU, ‘I PLEAD with you, give God EVERYTHING!’ And now, I will shock you! Paul goes on to say, ‘The reason I’m talking to you like this is because that is just your NORMAL, REASONABLE Christian life! This isn’t exploits, it’s just what is DEMANDED of every Christian man and woman. What is ‘reasonable service’? ‘Reasonable service’ is what the mechanic does to your car when it breaks down and you pay him to put it right, and only when it’s right is it ‘reasonable service’! Or you have somebody to clean, or paint, or build your house – but if what they do is only what they are paid for, they’re not giving you anything. You pay for it, so it’s ‘reasonable service’.

Christian!! Jesus, the Son of God, gave His whole life for you on the cross – and your reasonable service is to give Him your life! Malachi 3:8-10 says you have robbed God! – How have I robbed God? – In your tithes and your offerings! But I want to challenge you more! You have robbed God because you haven’t given Him your life! No, I’m not talking about your salvation – that’s just the beginning. That was ‘birth’. Before I got up to preach this message in Switzerland, we dedicated the Pastor’s baby daughter to the Lord. But when I go back next time to this church, this baby will have grown, she will be at school, at university, a woman! Christian, how far have you got in your salvation?!! One of the greatest tragedies I have witnessed is with one of my top workers. One of the best preachers in Russia, a youth pastor in one of the largest churches. His second child was born with a metabolic disorder, so that although she is now 18, she has the mental age of a 2 year old. She can’t go to school, she can’t marry, she can hardly feed herself, everything has to be done for her. The mother is worn out, and to the father it’s a great burden. But that man is one of my best organisers, God is using him. But too many Christians are like that handicapped child – the pastor has to do everything. Isn’t it true?!!! So often the Christian never comes to maturity! Paul likens it to only devouring milk. It’s about time you got on to proper food! I like to hear testimonies of what God has done for us!! I love to hear you telling what God has done! But let me be difficult! – I don’t want to hear just what GOD has done for you, I want to know what YOU have done for God!!! I can tell you what God has done for me, but I can also tell what I have done for God! That’s why I have the largest evangelistic mission in Europe. That’s why in September last year I could speak to more than 80,000 people in one day in Poland, and reach the whole nation live on National TV. But one man challenged me, “Why do you do this? Why do you struggle to do so much? Why?” – Because I owe God everything, my life, my

home, my family. And yes, last year I had to let God take my wife. We could have prayed for her to be spared. But the Bible says, there is a time to be born and a time to die. If I had pleaded for God to save her, what would she have gone through? I know she could not bear to see what I am going to have to endure in these coming months and years. I am going to have to risk my life. Already they have tried four times to kill me, and they will go on trying. I could not let my wife see what price I will have to pay, so she died in peace, surrounded by the family. She is at peace in the Kingdom, but I’m at war – with the devil himself, here on earth.

David Hathaway Denmark and Ukraine, March 2015 God sent His Son into the world to die, to forgive your sin – not to punish you, not to fight against you, not to put you in prison, not to kill you. Jesus died – why? To give you forgiveness, to give you life. The greatest message in the world is forgiveness! The hardest message today – in Ukraine, in the Middle East, in your life – is forgiveness. Jesus taught us to say, ‘Forgive us our sin, as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us.’ If you want the peace of God, if you want God to answer you, if you want God to work a miracle in your life, you have to ask – for God’s forgiveness!!! We now have war with Moslems, and they are cutting off the heads of the Christians. Why? Because their religion tells them that if they kill an unbeliever, they go to Heaven! But the Bible says, ‘Thou shalt NOT kill’ – what a challenge to Russia, Ukraine and the Middle East today! Our God – the God of the Bible and Israel – says, ‘Thou shalt NOT kill.’ To the world, God’s message is forgiveness and healing and deliverance. If as a nation you will forgive, God will heal your land. God WILL heal the land, He will take away the past, restore the years that the locust has eaten. But you, YOU – have to repent, you have to call on God and ask for His forgiveness. The Bible says, whosoever will call upon the Name of the Lord shall be forgiven! God WILL forgive you if you ask! Then the blessing of God will come into your life, He will heal your sickness, take away your pain, He will

deliver your nation! But it must begin in YOUR heart, peace has to come in YOUR heart, repentance has to come in YOUR heart. It begins with YOU! God CAN bring peace and forgiveness in your heart. Trust Him. But why do even Christians fight each other? What’s wrong? What was the last prayer of Jesus? It was not for the sinner or the unbeliever, His last prayer before He died was for the believing Christian! This is what He prayed – that we would stand together and be one! John 17:20-23. Jesus said, “I pray that they will be one!” Why did He pray like that? – Because He saw the Church today, divided, split. Church, get together, because the Bible says that a house divided against itself will fall! If the Church does not get together in unity, it will not get in the Kingdom! The Church has forgotten its own message! It’s not just ‘love’, it’s forgiveness, not just God forgiving us, but when we forgive others... We have ALL sinned. But the Bible says, ‘Whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be forgiven – oh, what a great Gospel we have! But how will the world forgive unless Christians first demonstrate the truth?!! The whole world lies in the power of the evil one. The tragedy is, that in this battle between good and evil – in our nations, in our homes – the ‘other side’ is winning! Christians, wake up, we’ve got to stand together and declare the

glory of God! One day in my cell, in the midst of hunger and torture in that communist prison, the glory of God came in, and I began to shout and sing, “Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee, how great Thou art!” The glory of God – in that filthy, stinking prison cell! From that moment God began to answer all my prayers, and by an absolute miracle He got me out! This is what the Bible says, ‘When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him!’ – Isaiah 59:19. When the enemy comes in, the Holy Spirit of God will rise up in power and authority! The power and the glory of God will be released in the world! I’m excited! I want to see it! The devil will be defeated, he’s going to be bound and Jesus will be Lord! I want to be part of that Kingdom! We’ve got to begin to take action! There’s a song, ‘Oh when the saints go marching in, Oh Lord I want to be in that number!’ But we’ve got to fight for the Kingdom of God, we’re the army of God – but we fight with Holy Power, not with swords and guns and weapons of destruction – we fight with the power of the Gospel! With the power of miracles! I’m an evangelist, I’ll lead the army, join me! – My weapons – the fire, the power of the Holy Spirit, the sword of the Word of God, the authority of God – from God Himself! And I will use that power and that authority to declare the Kingdom of God until Jesus comes!

THIS MIRACLE HAS LASTED 20 YEARS! My name is Elena Galushevskaya. I came to know the Lord in Nerungri, Siberia, in August 1994 when David Hathaway was evangelising there. The most important thing was that I got saved, and miraculously I quit smoking right away and my badly cut leg was healed! Not long before the evangelism, I had stepped on the neck of a broken glass bottle with my bare foot. I was seriously injured and my tendons were severed. It was at the time when the Soviet Union had just collapsed and our healthcare system was not financed properly. The only thing the doctors could do for me was just to apply a green-coloured antiseptic to the wound! That was all they did! The pain was intense. And the wound

became infected. I could hardly walk. I staggered to the meeting but, after prayer, I was able to jump on my injured foot! I also had an ulcer and I was healed of that as well! I’ve been working for Ebenezer to bring Jews back to Israel since 1997, first in Vladivostok, then I moved to the head office in Moscow in 2009 where I still work.

Having just come back from Ukraine with its war zone in the east, my heart and mind are filled with strong impressions. It’s a painful thing to witness the spiritual confusion and distress when brothers in Christ, from the most senior to the most junior, from the least to the greatest, suddenly find themselves against each other and at war with each other, because of what…? How did such a thing happen? I try to imagine, in East Ukraine, their world has had an earthquake that hasn’t stopped, and they don’t know how to orientate themselves any more… My father was a godly and THOUGHTFUL man. He spent all the years after World War II until he died last year, pondering the utter wickedness and evil of war and its ongoing effects down to the following generations – for whom he prayed every day. He was born in 1917. I asked him how he thought of that year, the year before World War I (1914-18) ended. He said to me: “I have always thought of it as being born at the beginning of the Somme Offensive. Your mother was born in 1918, at the beginning of the Passchendale Offensive. There were unbelievable casualties. Fifty thousand men were killed on the first day of the Battle of the Somme. My father was in the navy in World War I, so in those war years my mother brought up three children on her own...” As a teenager in the 1930s, my father became increasingly aware of evolving world events. The years 1931/2 were dominated by the Great Recession, and there was unemployment on a massive scale. On the distant edges of the continent there was Soviet Russia, and in Europe, the growth of the Nazi movement in Germany. In 1936, when my father started at University, the Spanish Civil War broke out. Franco (a royalist) was unpopular in Britain, because he sympathised with Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. But people had no idea of the socialist crimes in Spain where Russia was supporting the communist faction against Franco. Fascism and the Great Slump made my father’s generation all left-wing in sympathies – they were completely taken in by Soviet Russia, they had no idea of its brutality. Then there were the lies of the Nazi Party, and by the latter 1930s Hitler was presenting an ever greater threat. There was the militarisation of the Rhineland, the annexation of Austria, then the invasion of Czechoslovakia, then Poland – life was completely overshadowed by the growing threat of war and dread of what was to come, based on the

memories of the horror of the 1914-18 war. War with Germany was inevitable. It was not a question of if, but when. It is painful for anyone to handle even personal betrayals, how much more so civil war or any war. Truly it is written in Genesis 6:5-6, ‘And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.’ I watched a programme on BBC World following the lives of several Israeli girls after they had finished their term in the army. I was riveted by their distraught faces, their pained voices… Each one of them, in the heat of an unbearable moment, under the stress of war, had let the devil into their innocent lives – and now they can’t get him out! – Their lives ruined, stained with blood and shame. I thought, every parent in Israel brings up their kids, knowing they must serve in the army; if we are pro-Israel, we understand this. It must be. But every Israeli child is at risk, not just from enemy fire, but from the devil himself. My own conclusion is that the whole world DOES lie in the hands of the evil one, as the Scripture says – and we have a tremendous need of the Gospel of forgiveness: in our families, in our work, in our churches, in our countries, across nations. The devil hates us ALL, but we must cling fast to the cross of Christ. More than the devil hates us, Jesus WANTS us. He is our ONLY hope. There is a great and terrible darkness before He returns. But our light should shine brighter. We, ordinary Christians, must make every effort to live at peace with all men, as far as it lies within our power – Mark 9:50, Romans 14:19, Hebrews 12:14. And as David says, ‘Those who KNOW God will do exploits (great things)!’ – Daniel 11:32. Let’s preach Christ!

‘What I am challenging you to do, is to go to the regions beyond – the regions beyond in your service, the regions beyond in your faith. The regions beyond in your prayer life. Don’t be satisfied with your prayer life. Don’t be satisfied with what you are doing. Let’s go higher. How do you get up this ‘mountain’? There is no chair lift and there is no cable car; come with me. The fact is, there is only one way to go up that mountain. I have a favourite mountain in Austria, the Zugspitze. What I do there in the summer, I love to go all over the ski slopes that I ski in the winter, and I walk them. I set out to beat the targets on

time and distance. I do one walk which is 22km, and you’ve got to do it in 2 hours. It is quite a struggle! How do I do it? I do it by setting the pace and keeping up that pace of step after step – and you know, the end of the journey begins with the first step! What we have got to do with God is go step by step; even if you don’t get as far up as your next door neighbour, at least your feet are off the ground! What is it General Booth used to say to all of his officers? – He said, in your vision for God aim for the moon – you won’t hit it, but you might get as far as the lamp post! If you aim at the lamp post you’ll never get your feet off the

ground! It is true. Aim high! If you aim high, at least you’ll say, praise God I’m part way there. And you’ll find the Lord reaches a hand down and gives you a helping hand to get you up the rest! He does that with me any way. Does He do that with you? If He doesn’t, it’s because you are not on the ladder climbing. If you are not on that ladder going up, He is not going to help you. If you are on that ladder going up, then He is going to reach down! Praise God! I challenge you, go to the regions beyond – in your service, in your faith, in your prayer. Climb that mountain!’
