David Hathaway – Vietnamese Summer Camp in Halle, Germany, August 2015 From my earliest days when I first preached the Gospel, I saw miracles. The whole Bible testifies of God’s miracles. And God works miracles today. Not just for me – for every one of you! Expect to see miracles! Jesus said to His There’s a wonderful story from the days of the missionaries in China. Whenever the Christians needed something, they asked the missionaries – for food, for medicine, for money – and the missionaries gave it to them. When communism came and all the missionaries had to leave, the Christians had to ask themselves, how did the missionary get the clothes, the bicycles to give the Christians? And they realised, the missionary ASKED God!!! Now they said, “We don’t need missionaries, we ASK God ourselves!” Last year I went as usual for my Summer week of prayer in Austria. On the first day I was remembering that when Jesus was on earth, when He lived here, He worked miracles, healed the sick, the cripples, the blind. We all know this. But before He went to Heaven, He said to His disciples, “Go into all the world, preach the Gospel – and these signs will follow those who believe: they will lay hands on the sick and the sick will be healed!” I was praying because within a few weeks I would be going to Poland, thousands would come, many needing a miracle of healing. I said, “Jesus, I wish You could be in Poland instead of me! Because You would heal all the sick people, open blind eyes, heal the cripples! Jesus, how did You do it?! Tell me, how did You work all those miracles?!!” – And then the Holy Spirit began to talk to me, it became like a conversation, two people talking... This is what the Holy Spirit was saying: When Jesus came to earth, who was He? The Son of God? Yes. But the Bible says, when Jesus left Heaven and was born here, He gave up everything that He had had in Heaven. The Bible says, He became a man and lived here with us. And the Holy Spirit began to tell me: the miracles that Jesus did were not because He was ‘different’! – Do you understand me?!! I was asking: how did Jesus work the miracles? – He didn’t bring power with Him down from Heaven! When He was born as a baby, He was just like you and me! The more you read the Bible, the more you realise, yes, Jesus was Son of God, but also Son of Man! – He left all the power He had with God in Heaven to be born

disciples, “Whilst I am with you, you ask Me and I do what you ask! But when I have gone, all you have to do is ASK the Father, your Father, My Father, in My Name – and He will give you what you ask!” It’s simple!!!

as a man (Son of Man), just like you and me! So I said, “Jesus, if You were born of a woman, like us, how did You work the miracles?” I’m waiting for an answer, and the Holy Spirit said, “Jesus had to talk to His Father!” – Before Jesus worked the miracles, He would go up the mountain and into a close relationship with His Father! Then He would come down the mountain and He would heal the sick, raise the dead... So where did His power come from? – From His Father! I began to understand... You and I are just the same! If we want power in our lives, if we want to heal the sick, raise the dead, we must do what Jesus did – we have to talk to the Father! – And ASK Him for the power! And then we can do what Jesus did! Because on earth, Jesus had no power of Himself without His Father...!!! The Bible says that He came to live and die as a man, subject to the same weakness and temptation as we are, yet without sin. He became obedient to His Father, even willing to die on the cross! For twelve years a child, for 18 years a carpenter, His ministry only began when He was 30 – until then – no difference, no miracles. Yes, He then had to demonstrate the new birth by being baptised by John in the Jordan, then receive the Holy Spirit – like us! Of Himself, Jesus had NO extra power... So the power in Jesus came every time from His Father through the Holy Spirit! So if we live in that same relationship with God – YOU and I can have that same power that Jesus had! Suddenly I realised, this is EXACTLY what Jesus was teaching His disciples! That’s why He said, “Boys, you see all the miracles I have done? The blind, the deaf, the crippled? – When I go to the Father and send the Holy Spirit, when you preach the Gospel, all these things you will do!!! And more than I did!!!” – That’s wonderful! You and I CAN receive this power! In my life I’ve seen hundreds of thousands of miracles. When I went to Siberia for 3 months in 1994, shortly after communism fell, we saw tens, hundreds of miracles – every day!!! So many miracles of healing, we stopped counting

at three thousand. Katie, the editor of this magazine, recorded them! And not only miracles of healing, but miracles of every kind – transport, airplanes, finance. – Read the book, ‘Why Siberia’. But where did the power come from? – I am the same as you are. I am not a ‘holy’ man – my power comes from God! I’m trying to show you how you can receive this power! I know so many people in Britain, praying for revival, who say they are waiting for God, waiting for His power, waiting for God to work miracles. But God says, “I’m waiting for YOU!” – The power is HERE! We have to ACT!!! As a young man they wouldn’t let me be an evangelist, I had to be a pastor. One day God spoke to me, “David, stop talking! I’m tired of listening to you talking! Go out, leave your church, and DO all the things you are telling other people to do! And don’t come back until you have done these things!” That’s what I do today, I tell people what God is doing! Because, for the past 50 years, I have seen the power of God! I can tell you how powerful God is! Nobody has power like He has! TALK to Him! He is a prayer-answering God! I pray for people with cancer. Why? Because God has healed me! 50 years ago He healed me of throat cancer. 15 years ago He healed me of lung cancer. 20 years ago He healed me of arthritis. I ASKED! God ANSWERS prayer! I pray for people because I see miracles in my own life! It is almost impossible to talk to Jewish people about Jesus. So why do they listen to me? They said they would listen to me ‘if miracles happen’. God HAS to work miracles! I can’t heal people – I ASK God to do it. And He does it! And so the Jews believe. We will work miracles bigger than Jesus did. – Isn’t that what He said?!! “You will do the same miracles I do, and greater!” But we have to ASK! I’m 83 years young – not ‘old’! For 83 years I have proved that God ALWAYS DOES WHAT HE SAYS! In all my life God has never failed me! Not one single time! – I want YOU to be able to say the same! You CAN, if you know God, if you

talk to Him! He answers prayer! That’s the reality! Trust Him!

God can do! You see, that’s the power of God!

In Hebrews 11:1, Paul tells us what faith, what trust is. It’s substance, it’s reality. Fact. If you believe it, you will receive it! For me the greatest gift in the world is the gift of faith: all my life I have asked God for this gift of faith. If you have faith, you will work miracles, you’ll heal the sick, raise the dead. You’ll do the impossible. – God WANTS you to do the impossible! Why? To prove He is alive, that He answers prayer. People criticise me, they say my faith is ‘too big’. No! My faith is TOO SMALL! Because I have a BIG God! How big is your God? – He is as big as your faith! GOD WILL DO EVERYTHING YOU BELIEVE HE CAN DO!

Another time in Russia, in Susuman, one woman who had been healed in my meeting took me into the hospital. We went into one room, I prayed with two men with broken backs – God healed them. The third man was blind. I put my hand on his eyes, and in Jesus’ Name, I commanded him to see. I gave him a Russian Bible and he began to read it out loud. I left the hospital. Next morning I was to fly out, but the mayor called me into his office first and said, “What did you do in the hospital yesterday?!! You emptied the whole hospital!” I didn’t! But that blind man had run into every part of the hospital, shouting, “Jesus opened my eyes!” And he was reading the Bible! I don’t know what he read, but it had such an effect, God healed all the people in the hospital! That’s how big God is!

Every year for the past seven years I have been ministering to Vietnamese refugees in Europe. I believe God will break the power of communism in Vietnam, because I believe God is big enough to do it! I saw God break communism in the Soviet Union and in Russia – I’ve worked in Russia for more than 50 years, and the early years were all under communism. I believed God could and would break the power of communism. And God did! He can do it in Vietnam. I tell these refugees, “Pray that God will set Vietnam free from communism, free for the preaching of the Gospel. If you pray and believe, God WILL give you what you ASK, God WILL DO IT!” He will! What we have to do is put this into practice. When I was preparing for my big evangelism in Poland last year, we didn’t have the money. People said it was too big, they asked, “Why do you do things so big? Why believe for 80,000 people to come? Why not believe for 8,000?” I said, “I believe God has the power” – and I prayed. And God sent the money. In November this year we go back to Israel. Now I will ask you this question: Which is the bigger miracle, for God to fill the arena with unbelieving Jews, or for God to pay for it?!! I can’t pay for it, only God can. And I can’t fill the arena with unbelieving Jews either! So which is the bigger miracle? – I believe my God is big enough to work both the miracles! You see, what God wants us to do is increase our level of faith! Do you really want to please God? We sing we want to see Him, but when you see Him, do you want to please Him? The Bible says, WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD! Hebrews 11:6. Do I want to please men, or please God? Why has God challenged me to do the impossible? So that everybody will see that I am a fool, I can’t do it! And everybody will see, only God can! Just take one miracle: the Russian boy, Anton. He was dying, he’d been in a prison hospital, he was a drug addict and, because of the injections, he had gangrene in his right leg. They were going to cut it off. His mother and grandmother insisted I went to the hospital to pray on my way to the airport. Anton already had the consent forms to sign. This was Monday, they were going to amputate on Wednesday. Only 22 years old, HIV-Aids, he was going to die. I said, “Don’t let them cut your leg off. God will heal you.” And I left. When I came back to the town 6 months later, Anton was completely healed. He told me that when I said, “Don’t let them cut your leg off”, he received a gift of faith from God. He’s now married, has two beautiful daughters, he lives in Israel, and he’s an evangelist, he tells everyone what God did! And what

I could tell you so many stories. But I just want to tell you that you can have more power with God than I have! You can do greater things than Jesus did. He said so! John 14:12. – It’s SIMPLE! Do what Jesus did. – Spend time with your Father, talk with Him. ASK! Then DO IT!

David Hathaway – Festival of Life, Slovakia, September 2015 All my life I’ve seen the most incredible miracles. What happened in the Bible still happens today! Too many Christians say, “Oh, that was 2000 years ago.” But when I was in your communist prison here in Pilsen, then in Prague, I reminded God of two early Christians, Paul and Silas – they were in prison like me. They prayed, God sent an earthquake, ...The Bible says, ‘Jesus – the same yesterday, today and forever!’ – That’s the only bit of the Bible I don’t agree with!!! Listen carefully!!! In my life, the Jesus I know today is not the Jesus I knew when I was first a Christian!!! The Jesus I know today is a thousand times stronger and more powerful, more wonderful, than the Jesus I knew 70 years ago. The Bible says He’s always the same, but to me, the Jesus I know becomes stronger every day, more powerful! Ten times more powerful this year than He was last year. A hundred more times powerful than He was a few years ago. A thousand times more powerful than when I was a young man!!! So who is right and who is wrong? Is the Bible right? – Or me? I’ve discovered the truth! God doesn’t change!!! I change. The change is this, I KNOW GOD BETTER! Every year, every day I understand Him more, and more! God reveals His Power! It’s like a big picture. Curtains are drawn so that you

broke the chains, broke open the prison – and set them free! I challenged God! “Oh God, are You the same God today as You were then? Or are You like Christians who get weaker and weaker and weaker?!! Or do You have the same power You had 2000 years ago?!! If You do, get me out of my prison!” He did!!!...

can’t see it. And somebody is slowly opening the curtains. And you begin to see a little, then more and more and more. That’s what God is like! It’s not God that changes, it’s your knowledge of God, your understanding of God. Next time I come back here to Slovakia, my God will be bigger than He is this year! Why? My understanding! I will know Him better! In the Bible, Paul says, down here we see ‘through a glass darkly’. Have you ever looked at an eclipse of the sun? I was told as a boy, if I wanted to look at an eclipse of the sun I must look through dark glass. That’s exactly how it is with God – we can only see Him through a dark glass! But when we are in Heaven, we will see Him clearly, everything, face to face! 1 Corinthians 13:12. The whole joy of my life is drawing back that curtain to reveal more of God, more of His Glory! It’s the whole reason for my living, the whole excitement in my life! I want to ‘inject’ YOU with excitement! Come on! Why

...We HAVE to show the world who Jesus REALLY is! We have to show His Power, His Glory. Come on! I challenge you! Don’t let the devil tell you that you can’t! Who tells you that you can’t be healed? – The devil from hell! Who tells you that you’re not good enough to get into Heaven? – The

That’s the whole purpose of my life – pulling back the curtain, showing you the Glory of God, showing you the Power of God. I want to make you HUNGRY, THIRSTY to see God, to know Him! Not just in the praise and worship in the church. That’s wonderful. But like David in the psalms, I’m hungry, I’m thirsty, in the desert, no food, no water!!! – That’s how thirsty I am, how hungry I am to see the Power of God – today, on the battlefield, in my fight, in my life! I want YOU to see the Power of God in your daily life! When you pray – SEE the Power of God! When you’re in trouble – SEE the Power of God! When you’re sick – SEE the Power of God! I want your family, your community, the whole of your nation to SEE the Power of God!...

But the second purpose is to show how powerful Jesus is! The problem in the churches today, especially in the West, is that they have lost their

power. People do not know the power that there is in the Name of Jesus! We sing the song, ‘How great is our God’ – but so many Christians do not know how great our God is!

God called me as an evangelist. I have the biggest evangelistic mission in Europe. But what I have in my heart is to prove to unbelievers HOW GREAT MY GOD IS! Too many Christians, in their hearts, see God as being very small. The father of the editor of this magazine, Katie Morris, was a minister in the Church of England all his life. He prayed every day, he prayed for all his family – three generations – morning and night by name. He prayed the Lord’s Prayer, other set prayers and the psalms, he thought that is all you should do. He did not believe it was right to ask God to answer specific prayer, and he did not expect an answer. He is not alone in this. The government, the media in Britain see Christianity, Islam, Judaism as co-equal religions – they talk about us collectively as ‘people of faith’! They see no difference! They do not recognise that OUR God is the ONLY true God! How can we prove this? This is why one of the purposes of evangelism is not only to convict men of sin, but to demonstrate WHO our God is, and the POWER in the Name of Jesus!!! A recent edition of an evangelical magazine published in Britain featured an article which stated that Islam and Christianity worship the same God, the only difference is that the Moslem does not know Jesus as Saviour! But we DON’T have the same God! – We have the God of Israel! Jews and Christians worship the same God. But the God of Islam is the moon god from Egypt – the same god Abraham’s father Terah worshipped in Ur before the true God called him out, Joshua 24:2. The symbol of Islam, on every mosque and flag, is the crescent moon. Why cannot Christians see the difference between Islam and Christianity?!! I’m an evangelist! But all my life I have wanted to show how great is the God of the Bible – who sent Jesus, not Mohammed! Remember the days of Elijah? Israel had stopped worshipping the true God and instead were worshipping pagan gods. Elijah gave a challenge, that the only real God will answer by fire! They prepared the altar, the sacrifice, and the false prophets called on their god – but their god had no power – he did not answer. When Elijah prayed, God answered by fire! I believe there must come a day when someone has to make the same challenge Elijah did, not only to convince Moslems, but also unbelieving Christians! – But where is the Christian today who KNOWS God like Elijah?!! Or like the boy David, facing Goliath when the whole army of Israel was afraid?!! Fifteen years ago I faced such a challenge in Switzerland. Some Swiss missionaries, who had been in my meetings in Russia and seen the power of God, asked me to come to Switzerland to teach their people how to see miracles. After the conference, they took me to another city, Lucerne, where they had rented the ballroom in a famous hotel. They had invited 500 ‘esoterics’, occultist healers who believe in pagan spirit gods! They had come to see which was the true God – theirs or mine! The organisers told me not to start with the Bible or prayer. They said the people had come to see a miracle! So I told them to bring me the most crippled person. A young man stood before me. He’d been hang gliding, but his parachute had failed to open, he crashed to the ground, smashed all his bones, now he couldn’t speak clearly and his right side was paralysed. I asked God to work a miracle. Immediately that man was totally healed! I looked around. These spirit healers who believed they could heal the sick by contacting evil spirits, had never seen a miracle before – they were standing up on the velvet ballroom chairs!!! You see, they had NO power. But I had shown them the

power in the Name of Jesus! And only then I preached the Gospel, from the story of the paralysed man, Matt 9, where Jesus said, “Which is easier, to heal the sick or to forgive sin?!!” All 500 repented, it took the organisers 3 months to counsel them all! You see, THERE IS POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS! They saw the power! It is not enough just to sing ‘How great is our God’! – You actually have to SHOW THE POWER! It is part of evangelism! We need FAITH to demonstrate the power. In Hebrews 11:3 it says through FAITH we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made from things which can be seen; by FAITH we believe that God created the world by His Word. (Today in Britain, not only is it illegal to teach this to children, you can go to prison under the same law that sends Moslem terrorists to prison!) So the beginning of faith is believing the IMPOSSIBLE, that GOD actually created the world, not a bang, not evolution! When we receive the Holy Spirit, God gives us the gifts of the Holy Spirit! 1 Corinthians 12. FAITH is a gift from God! Without it, Hebrews 11:8 says, we cannot please God! Now there are 9 gifts, and every one of us can receive these gifts. From the very beginning, when I first received the Holy Spirit aged 13, to me the most important gift was and is the gift of FAITH, because if I’m going to see miracles of healing, if I am going to see the demonstration of God’s POWER, I need to have the FAITH TO BELIEVE GOD WILL DO THE IMPOSSIBLE! A few years ago an American missionary in Kazakhstan was dying of cancer. I was in Kazakhstan evangelising and I was asked to pray with him in hospital. He was so ill, I could only spend 5 minutes with him. I laid my hands on him in faith and left. He got out of bed and walked, flew home to America totally healed – and he’s now back in Kazakhstan as a missionary again! You see the power of God! In 1994 I was travelling and evangelising in Siberia for 3 months. I’d just got off a train after days and nights on the Trans-Siberian railway and, without rest, preached in a meeting and prayed for the sick. God worked miracles. But I was so exhausted, I had to prop myself up against a table! One last man came, “I lost the use of my hand in an accident, I want healing.” I said, “I’m too tired!” He said, “I want to be healed!” I said, “Jesus, I’m too tired to pray for this man – You heal him! Quickly!” He did! And that man went on to be a pastor! What we need is a GIFT of FAITH! Faith is an active part of evangelism. In Mark 16

Jesus said, “Go into all the world, preach the Gospel and these signs will follow those who believe – (when you preach the Gospel this will be the evidence that you believe) – you will lay hands on the sick and the sick will be healed!” Jesus is the greatest evangelist ever! How did He convince the unbelieving Jews? – BY THE MIRACLES! Why did the people follow Him? BECAUSE OF THE MIRACLES! Jesus Himself said they followed Him because He fed them with the loaves and fishes, healed the sick, raised the dead, opened the eyes of the blind... How did Peter explain who Jesus was to the Jewish people? He said, “Jesus was born as a man, like you, but the difference – He was approved of God by miracles, signs and wonders!” Acts 2:22. So it was the miracles which proved that we need Jesus and not Mohammed! We have got to bring MIRACLES back into our ministry! Every kind of miracle! The first time I went to Siberia for 3 months in 1994 we saw every kind of miracle. When there were no airplanes, God provided airplanes! Every day we needed miracles. When we had a problem, I would call the group to prayer, and within a few minutes God would tell me exactly what to do. And when I did what He said, the miracle happened! It was the most amazing experience in my life. Siberia 1994 was for me the greatest miracle seen in the last hundreds of years – you must read my book, ‘Why Siberia’! But I had to have FAITH TO BELIEVE that God would DO WHAT HE SAID! A basic, foundational part of evangelism is when you EXPERIENCE THE POWER OF GOD IN YOUR OWN LIFE! I’ve seen the power of God for 60 years in my ministry, I’m just telling you what God is doing, and it’s true, God WILL DO these things! Evangelism is so important because, if you love Jesus, when you die you go to Heaven. If you don’t know Jesus, you go to hell. I spent one year in a communist prison. If hell is worse than that communist prison, I want to spend my life saving men and women from that hell. Without Christ you live for 70 years – and then you go to hell. With Christ, you live here – and then you go to eternity with Him and will live with God forever! This is what evangelism is about. As a boy I asked my father, “If everybody who lives without Christ dies and goes to hell, what about people who never heard about Jesus?” This was my father’s reply, “That is YOUR responsibility to tell people about Jesus! They will only hear if YOU tell them!” Your family, the people you work with – need to hear about Jesus! Somebody has to tell them! But who will? That’s why God has called us. We’re not just called to be a ‘Christian’, God has called us to SERVE Him, to WORK

for Him. However young you are, however old – whatever your job – WORK FOR JESUS! As a boy at school I was preaching Jesus to all the other boys! My teacher became a believer, two of the boys in my class became preachers; I only know of these 3 that were converted. But they all heard, they all knew that Jesus is the only Way! We’re not Christian just to live a ‘better’ life, but to tell others about Jesus – the whole world must hear about Him! Yet the church is silent. I want YOU to simply talk about Jesus everywhere you go... I boast about Jesus, I tell everyone: MY GOD HAS POWER, HE WORKS MIRACLES! I want YOU to believe God for miracles! Start now! Believe God! Where does your faith come from? It’s a gift of the Holy Spirit! Paul says covet the gifts. ASK! When I received the Holy Spirit I was 13 years old. Next day I was in my church, I felt nothing, no power, spiritually dead. The whole church knew I had received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. But now I felt nothing. I said, “By faith I will believe I have received the power of the Holy Spirit!” And I got up and I began to speak in tongues. Why? Because I believed God had given me the gift by the power of the Holy Spirit! If you have asked for gifts of healing, believe! Start and pray for yourself and see that miracle that you need! Then you will have faith to pray for somebody else! When I had throat cancer, I prayed – I did not get the answer for 3 months. – And then God healed me! I didn’t stop praying, because I was praying in faith. I was almost a year in a communist prison, it took me nine months to pray my way out – and then God worked a big miracle, He sent the British Prime Minister and I flew home with him! I was on television, in all the newspapers! Why? Because God had worked a public miracle to show HOW GREAT GOD IS! How did I start evangelising? As a boy, by telling people HOW GREAT GOD IS! My testimony, as a boy, was how God answers prayer. If you want to evangelise, DON’T PREACH! Just TELL people how real Jesus is! Tell them you talk to Him every day and He answers prayer! If you are at school, tell them how Jesus helps you with your exams. If you have financial problems, tell how God answers your prayer. Believe for a miracle. Expect one every day! And then tell your friends, “Jesus answered my prayer!” If you talk to Jesus, He always answers, He is alive! I talk to Jesus, He talks to me – He’s my best friend! I love Him! He loves me! I’m never alone because I live with Jesus, not in Heaven, but down here! Tell your friends about Jesus! You can prove the power of God to them, but first YOU NEED YOUR OWN REAL PERSONAL TESTIMONY!

Its impact reached beyond the capital city of Bratislava to the whole nation, thanks to the coverage by the Official News Agency of the Slovak Republic (Teraz.sk), and to the 2 main national TV channels (TV Central and TV Bratislava). These 2 channels broadcast live the whole of the VIP meeting on the Friday night, and the packed evangelism in the Expo Arena on the Saturday! So many guests (members of parliament, MEP, business and cultural elite) came, that many stood throughout the 3 hours of worship, preaching and ministry. None were in a hurry to leave at the end! The arena was also packed to overflowing, buses having brought thousands of unbelievers from all over the country – and even from neighbouring countries. Headphones and translations were organised for everyone who came from outside Slovakia. The tangible presence of God was so great after the preaching and then the first healing miracles, that again the people didn’t want to leave. And people told us that the Presence of the Lord remained like a cloud in the arena after David had gone. Powerful miracles of healing continued – in that atmosphere it was easy for outstanding miracles to happen as people prayed individually for the sick. One little boy with deformed feet who had never walked was carried forward for prayer – and immediately stood and took his first steps! We have the photos! One Pastor from Katowice came to see David after the evangelism. He said he was so touched by the effectiveness of David’s ministry in Poland last year, he didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity once again to participate in such a great Gospel event. He told us that after the evangelism last year, they person-

ally opened 3 new churches from the unbelievers they had brought in the buses! And for months afterwards people were coming and telling of the miracles they had received. So this year he organised and brought 21 buses from Poland, 1000 people! We could not run such effective evangelism without the active part played by the churches who engage in street evangelism and ministry months in advance – one ministry fielded 700 volunteers! And the work continues after we have gone! David held a press conference ahead of his evangelistic meetings here in Bratislava. Present were journalists from newspapers, magazines and TV companies, and it was filmed by National Slovakian channels TV Central and TV Bratislava. David said, “It is the plan of God that I am here at this particular time, and it will be reflected it what will happen in the meetings. I paid a price to be here today – I am not just someone from the outside, but I have come the hard way, through one of your prisons under communism. This did not make me bitter, but filled me with the love of God for you. When God sent His Son, He sat in a prison like mine, He became personally involved with our suffering – this fills me with a passion.” David was welcomed as a ‘bridge between nations and denominations’ – a ministry ‘dedicated to the unity of Christians around the Cross where together we find Life’. All local denominations within the country took part. At the very end, one of the leading pastors who participated with his church in the preparation of the evangelism said, “Thank you David for bringing God’s heart – the fullness of God’s heart!”

In Joel 2 and Acts 2 God says, “I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh.” What happens when God pours out His Spirit? He says in the same prophecy, “Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream

There are three visions, three perspectives you need to have if you want to work for God: a vision of God, of the world and of what God can do through you. Most of you are younger than me, so I want to talk to you as a father, grandfather! I want to show you what vision can do in your life. If you do not have a clear vision and purpose, you will achieve nothing for God. I want to give you a clear vision for your future, of what God wants to do, and I want you to live with this vision for the rest of your life! If you want the blessing and power of God, you must have a real vision of God and who He is. My first experience with God was when I was seven years old. I was in church on a Sunday morning, the church was full, my father was the preacher. I don’t know what he said, I don’t remember the worship – all I know is that as a boy of seven, the power and glory of God fell in that meeting.

dreams!” Young people, it is so important that you begin your Christian life with a vision of what God can do! The reason I do what I do is because all my life, God has given me a clear vision. I have not changed for 65, almost 70 years! When I was a teenager, I had the same vision I have today! I wrote down that vision when I was still a teenager! Seventy years later I have not changed the vision which God gave me.

Something happened. I can’t describe it. It was as if the Holy Spirit was rolling over my life. I have never forgotten it. I want to try to tell you what God did at the beginning of my life – the power of a vision – a vision of the power and glory of God! From my boyhood, soon after I became a Christian, I have had the same vision in my heart that David in the Bible had. And the testimony recorded of David in the Bible is that he was a ‘man after God’s own heart’ – he had the same heart God has! (1 Samuel 16:7; Acts 13:22.) David is the ONLY man in the Bible of whom God says, “He is a man after My own heart.” And this was David’s vision, his heart, these are his words in Psalm 63:1-2, “Oh God, You are my God. Early will I seek You, my soul thirsts for You, longs for You, in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water – TO SEE YOUR POWER AND YOUR GLORY – as I have seen You in the sanctuary!” All through my early days, before I became a pastor, an evangelist, all the time I was growing up, when I was in school, when I was in church, this was the most important verse in my whole life! I said what David said, “Oh God, You are my God, I will seek for You from the early part of my life, I will search You out, Oh God, wherever You are, in Heaven, on earth, I will search for You, Oh God! I want to know who You are, I want to find You!” – I spent my youth searching for God, not because I was not a Christian, I became a Christian when I was 8 years old. But when I became a Christian, I didn’t want to be a ‘normal’ Christian – I was searching for the truth, the reality, the power and glory of God! I wanted to find the God of the Bible, the God of Heaven, I wanted to KNOW Him! All my life I have searched for God’s power and His glory! For many years I have been going to the

highest mountain in Germany. – I go to pray, to find God! To find the power of God! In my life, I have been in the most powerful services, I have come under the power of the Holy Spirit, I have seen the fire and power of God, I’ve seen powerful miracles, I have seen the Hand of God... But I want to see the Face of God! Do you understand my passion? Some of you have the same passion that I have – you want to see God, find God, you want to KNOW His power, SEE His Hand, HEAR His Voice, SEE His Face... You want a heart like God’s Heart, you want the fire of God, you want to KNOW who God is! I spent all my young days seeking to find God. Do you understand? Forget that I’m an evangelist, forget the miracles, forget that I can speak to Jewish people openly about Messiah, that I can speak to 80,000 people in one day as I did in Poland last year… – Why has all this happened in my life? Why do so many thousands repent, why are there so many miracles of healing? Not because I am different to you. Why do I have the relationship with God that I have? This is why – because all my life I’ve been wanting to see a vision of the power and glory of God! Exactly like King David. He said, “I want to see Your power and Your glory in my earthly struggles, in my battles, in Israel, in my life – as I have seen You when I sought for You in the Sanctuary!” King David spent his life looking for God, to SEE the glory and the power of God – IN ACTION! Wherever I go to minister, I want to see that same God of power and glory that I found as a young lad, as a man – I want to see Him today! And where do I find Him? I find Him when I see His power, when I see the cripples healed, blind eyes opened. When I see miracles – then I see God! When I see people repent – I see God! One time in Russia, in a big icehockey stadium, I had preached Christ and called the people to repent, and I

had to wait as the thousands came down out of the stands, from the balconies, to give their lives to Christ. I was crying – because I SAW God when they repented. I was crying with joy – because as I saw those thousands of people coming to Jesus, I SAW God as I had never seen Him before, I saw His power! That is the God that I am looking for, that’s the God I want to find! A God who works miracles, a God who changes lives, who breaks every curse, who sets men free, a God above all other gods, a God of power, a God of glory, a God of love! I have spent my whole life seeking to find Him! My vision is a vision of God destroying the power of the devil, defeating the enemy, setting men free! My God, the God I am looking for, has more power than any president, more power than any king. My God is a God of power, a God of authority who does everything He says! What a wonderful God! I will not rest, I will not die, I will not stop working – I live to see Jesus’ power – here, on earth! Every year I see more people come to Christ, more healings, more of God’s power. Why? – Because I’m still looking for more of the power of God, I want to see His glory as never before! The God that I serve, the God we sing about and worship – that God – I want to KNOW Him, I want to find Him, I want to SEE Him! Not just to sing, not just to worship – I want to SEE His Face, I want to SEE His power, I want to SEE His Hands! That’s been my vision, my dream for 70 years – and I want more! And more! So the first, the primary vision that I want you to have is a vision of Jesus! Start today, begin in your heart to search for God and to see His power. You will find Him. Elijah searched for God, and the Bible says, God was not in the wind, He was not in the fire – He was in that still small voice of the God that you are searching for. He will come to you, as a voice in your heart, in your soul, in your life. He will only come when, with all your heart you are searching for Him. I have not seen enough, even at my age. I want to see His Face, I love Him so much. So the first vision you must have must be of God! I want your whole life to be consumed by this! You may be married, you may have children, you may be in college, whatever your circumstances, I want the first thing in your life to be Jesus Christ. Only when you find that Jesus will you be able to move to the second part of the

vision; only when I had begun to search for God did I get the second vision. This vision is of the world. Too often as Christians, we’re looking at our own lives, all of our thinking is about ourselves. Stop thinking about yourself! What drove Jesus? What power, what motive drove Him? What was it that made Him go to the cross? Why did He die? Why did He preach the Gospel? Why did He heal the sick? I WANT TO KNOW! I want to see the sick healed, I want to see the power of God. Why did Jesus leave Heaven and come to earth to live, to die, to preach the Gospel, heal the sick, raise the dead?! WHY DID HE COME?! Dead religion does not recognise why Jesus came – there is no real recognition of the character, the life, the purpose of Jesus! He left the glory of Heaven – WHY?! It took one year in a communist prison for me to understand why! Before I went into prison, I hadn’t much time for criminals. But I shared a cell with a murderer, a drug smuggler, other criminals. And I learnt to love them. I heard their stories, listened to what they said, and I realised that every one of these men in that prison was somebody’s father, or husband, brother, son. I understood for the first time that they were men like your son, your husband, members of your family – and the devil had spoiled their lives. – And I saw what those men could become! Preachers, evangelists – doing what I do. I saw what God could do with those men! I learnt to love sinners! The reason I preach the Gospel with so much passion, so much emotion is that I look at those people whose lives are destroyed, and I see, how when Christ comes in, He changes their lives! He forgives their sin, breaks the curse, sets them free! That’s why Jesus came – to show His love, to live with you, to eat with you, to be in the boat with you, to climb the mountain with you, to heal the sick, to raise the dead. We are all sinners like those men. Every disciple was once a sinner. But Jesus saw in them the power, the potential, what could happen! I want you to get this vision of what God can do with men! And then I want to add to that vision, a third vision, a vision of what God can do with you! Look at John 14:12 where Jesus says, “Truly I say to you, he that believes in Me, the works that I do shall he do also!” So Jesus is saying, if you believe in Him, if the life of Jesus is in your heart, you will do what He did! – YES, YOU WILL DO WHAT JESUS DID!!! Then He says, “You will do GREATER WORKS THAN THESE!!!

Because I go to My Father, you will not only do what I do, you will do MORE!!! GREATER, MORE POWERFUL MIRACLES!!!” I want to challenge every one of you: who was Jesus talking to when He said, ‘you will do greater things’ – was it only to His disciples? Are we in danger of limiting the promises of Jesus to the New Testament dispensation? If so, are we casting doubt on all the other things He said? No, I want you to get a vision of what He can do to fulfil those same promises in YOUR life!! God can make any one of you the greatest evangelist in the world! God can touch YOU, He already sees what you can do! I am telling you what God wants to do with your life!!! Do more miracles than He did! Raise the dead! Open the eyes of the blind! Heal the cripples! Jesus said – YOU CAN!!! Jesus said, “If you believe in Me, YOU CAN!!!” – But you will never do it until you get a vision of what God can do in YOUR life. I have a vision of what God can do with me – and His vision is bigger than mine! God has a bigger vision for your life than you have! He KNOWS what you can do!!! So first, get a vision of the power of God! Then get a vision of the world! Jesus said, “You say it’s not yet harvest, but I see it differently, the fields are ready now!” And third, get a vision of what God can do in YOUR life, through YOU. God has already given every one of you everything you need to preach the Gospel, heal the sick. And if you say you don’t have it – ASK FOR IT!!!

This is the prophetic challenge, God is saying to us in Haggai 2:3: ‘Who is left among you that saw this House in its first glory – and how do you see it

There have been times in my own life when I have had to experience this dramatic change and transformation. It was never a change of direction. My staff will tell you that what I wrote when I was fifteen in my magazine ‘The Evangelist’, is EXACTLY what I say now. What God put in my heart then, is EXACTLY what God is fulfilling in my life now. So the direction has never changed – but I have had to have the renewing. Without those times when God has stopped me, put me in a prison, laid me aside, cancer, or any other thing – there has had to be that dramatic realisation in my life of the need of change. God is today saying to the church EXACTLY what He was saying here to Israel through the prophet Haggai! I want to challenge you, every one of you – who is there still here in Britain (or wherever you are) who saw the Glory of God in this land, who saw the Power of God in the churches, who saw the repentance, who saw the demonstration of the Holy Spirit? I would say to you, what do you see now? Desolation. Rejection. You don’t hear a call to repentance, you don’t see the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. I would say to you – the Glory has gone. And God is saying in this Scripture in Haggai, the Glory has departed from the House of God! We are the House of God. And the Glory has gone! We have got to bring back the Glory and the Power into the House of God!

now?!!’ This is the challenge to the church and to our nations: something HAS to happen to dramatically CHANGE us.

In verse 5, God says to us, ‘...according to the Word which I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remained among you!’ God made a covenant with YOU, every man, woman and child, from the youngest to the oldest, He made a covenant with YOU when you came out of ‘Egypt’, when He delivered you from sin, when salvation came, when you were born again – God entered into a holy covenant with YOU, that His Glory will not depart from the House! But what do we see? Destruction. The House of God has been destroyed. The challenge is this in verse 6 – ‘Thus says the Lord, in a little while I will shake the Heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land, and I will shake the nations. And the Desired of all nations SHALL come and I WILL FILL THIS HOUSE WITH GLORY!’ God is going to come back in Power and Glory, but the shaking begins in the House! Before He can shake your nation, before He can change your nation – He has to change YOU! Before God can send the Power, He’s going to send the Fire, the Power – on YOU! There will be no conviction of sin in the world until there is conviction in the church. We pray for our nation, we weep over our nation because of its godlessness and wickedness, its sin and corruption – because our governments legalise sin. But there will be no conviction and no repentance until it begins in the House of God! If you want the nation to be rebuilt, rebuild the House of God! This is what God wants us to do! God never does anything without purpose, without plan! If God is going to pour out His Spirit – and He is – there has to be a reaction, there has to be a result, there has to be change – in us! Until we are prepared to accept that change and that reaction, and put off the old, get rid of the old ideas of religion, get rid of the add-ons to our faith, get rid of the comfort we are living in – God won’t do anything! God is waiting – to change US! Then God will send His

Fire and change our communities. My father was a boy in the Welsh Revival, he ministered in the first Pentecostal Church in Britain, in Bournemouth, and then built up the Elim Churches with George Jeffreys, the greatest healing evangelist Britain has ever known. As a baby I was dedicated to the Lord by Jeffreys. And now I say this with tears in my eyes, I remember as a boy of seven, in the war years, standing in the aisle in the Elim Church in Clapham where my father was pastor, and something happened: I remember waves of power rolling over me like an ocean. I knew it was the Holy Spirit. The Power of God was in the House! – And I remember the times in the House of God when I came under conviction, the times when I saw the Glory, I saw the Power... In all my life, as an evangelist, I’ve seen the miracles, the thousands, the tens of thousands... But I have seen that the Glory has left the House! How many times today, when you go in a church does the Glory of God roll over you? How many times you go there and you feel that Holy Ghost conviction in your life – that God is talking to you and challenging you?! I have been so shocked in some churches… if I listened to this preaching I would stop being an evangelist, I would just die... times I just can’t go into a church... because the Spirit has gone... because the Holy Spirit has left the church. Until the Spirit comes back into the church, God will never save this nation! But it has got to begin with you and me! Where else?!! There are some of you reading this who remember the Glory in the House, and who also saw the Glory of God depart. But God hasn’t given up on us. We’ve got to bring the Glory back! What God is saying is this, ‘Once more I will shake the Heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land, I will shake ALL nations!’ God is going to shake the nations, but He’s going to do

God did something when I was preaching to the Vietnamese this summer, something EXPLODED in me! Solomon said in Proverbs 29:18, ‘Where there is no VISION the people DIE!’ Only the King James Version is so clear, so blunt. In other languages, in other versions, it’s watered down. But without that VISION of who God really is, you are spiritually DEAD! The power and the authority that I have only come through the VISION of KNOWING who God is! David says in Psalm 63:1, ‘Oh God, You are my God, early will I SEEK You, my soul THIRSTS for You, my flesh LONGS for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water!’ He says, “I’m so hungry, I’m so thirsty that I will DIE!” – He was in a wilderness, no water, no food, and he’s crying out, “My SOUL is like that! Spiritually. I HUNGER for You! Unless I feed upon You and draw upon You, spiritually, I DIE!” I challenge you, unless you draw on God, unless you feast on God, unless there is a hunger and a thirst in your soul, you will never, ever be satisfied! Only those who hunger, only those who thirst, who search for the water and the food! I know what hunger is, I know what thirst is! But do you begin to understand David’s heart? What kind of a man was he? He was illegitimate; he says himself, “In sin did my mother conceive me.” When Samuel was looking among Jesse’s sons for the man to anoint as king, Jesse didn’t bring David. He wasn’t fit. He didn’t live in the family household as a son, he lived as a servant, as a slave, illegitimate! His brothers rejected him. And yet the anointing came on David! Why? Not because he was big or strong or good looking. No! It was because of the heart that he had! And God is searching your heart right now. If your heart is empty, you are dead spiritually – UNLESS there is a desire in your heart, a hunger, a thirst for God, UNLESS you cry out to God like David did, “I’m in a dry and thirsty land, I’m desperate, without You I die, without You I cannot live!” It has taken so many years, but I have gone through that experience, crying out to God, “Without You I die, I hunger, I thirst after You!” But do you know when this verse from Psalm 63 first became so precious to me? Not as an evangelist, not in my older years – I lived this verse as a boy, as a teenager, this was the one verse above all others! I hungered, I longed, I thirsted for God

as in a dry and thirsty land. But it’s only now that I understand the real depth of what David was saying. He continued in v2, “I want to see Your Power and Your Glory as I have seen You in the sanctuary!” We have got first to experience God in the sanctuary, you have to have the deep experience and knowledge of who God is! The world doesn’t know who God is, the church doesn’t know. Our God is a God of Power, of Authority, of Deliverance, of Victory, who defeats every enemy, breaks every curse, sets every man free! The greatest Power, the greatest Authority – is God! The church doesn’t know that kind of God anymore, the church has become emasculated. The power in Psalm 63:1-2 is this: David is saying, “I’m hungry and thirsty as if I’m in that dry land, and I know I will die unless I see Your Power and Your Glory! As I saw Your Power in the sanctuary, so I want to see it on the battlefield of my life!” David had had such a POWERFUL revelation of God, that the New Testament says of him (and of no other man), that he was a ‘man after God’s own heart’! He had been exposed to the heart of God! He had had a ‘heart transplant’! God’s own heart! Oh that God would rip open our chests, give us a heart transplant! I tell you, your old heart is corrupt and weak and powerless! Come alive! Can you see what’s going to happen when you have the heart of God?!!

...From my boyhood, Psalm 63:1-2 has been in my heart; I long for God, I thirst for Him, and no, I will not see His face, but I have seen His Power, I have seen Him in action! I have seen Him in the sanctuary, in the Holy Place. I grew up with this burning longing for the power of God! But suddenly now I understand, in a new way, I will see that power ON THE BATTLEFIELD – THIS YEAR!!! I will not see His face, but I will see His hand, I will see His power, in evangelism, in my ministry, in action, ON THE BATTLEFIELD!... ...BUT WHAT IS THE EXPLOSIVE PART? It’s quite amazing, it’s two scriptures together! Suddenly I realised that down through these years I’ve been praying over another verse, Jeremiah 33:1-3: ‘Thus says the Lord, the Maker thereof, the Lord that formed it and established it, “CALL unto Me and I will ANSWER you!”’ For 10 years I have been CALLING on God to fulfil certain powerful things! Suddenly when I link that with Psalm 63, I know that the ANSWER to my longing is that I will SEE His Power and Glory on the BATTLEFIELD in a new way! Suddenly when I put those two scriptures together, I realise what God is going to do THIS YEAR, what He is going to do in my life – He’s going to fulfil EVERYTHING HE HAS SAID! The whole of my life now has to be a determination to see that the world will see the Power and Glory of God!

I’ve heard, I’ve seen the real power and glory of God, I’ve tasted all that there is in the sanctuary! And like David, I want to see THAT on the battlefield in my life! You must take the glory! Take the glory back with you into your home, into your church, into your life – INTO YOUR BATTLEFIELD! I’ve seen the power of God, in that prison cell; I’ve seen the power of God so many times in my life; I’ve been there when revival broke out in Bulgaria, when it started, at the moment when the fire came and swept the whole nation even under communism! The Spirit of God came down in such power! But now I want to bring you to something EXPLOSIVE! If you study physics and chemistry, you know you can put two separate chemicals together – alone they are inactive, powerless – but when you put the two together – POW – they EXPLODE! This summer when I was speaking to the Vietnamese, God brought together two chemicals in my life, two scriptures – and suddenly it was like an EXPLOSION! It’s changed my life! I’m not the man I was even a few weeks ago!...

Katie Morris One reason I love the Russians so much is that – whatever the problem, however great – they ALWAYS say, “We will find the way!” This comes from years under communism when – if you did not ‘find the way’, you could not live. Russians have been trained by hardship to ALWAYS find the way! This summer my (creative) grandchildren were playing down on the beach below the blackened sea wall. Now, even at their size, a sheer sea wall is unclimbable, so with a chalk pebble from the beach, they drew a ladder, wrote at the top ‘ASCAPE’ (escape), and one of them cheekily put a pair of shoes on top of the wall, proving they had made it all the way up the INVISIBLE stairway and escaped!!! My reaction? – Wow, God’s INVISIBLE Word is our way of escape!!! Many years ago, sitting in my garden reading my Bible, I read the words of Jesus, it was as if He spoke to me: “Katie, if you don’t believe Moses and the prophets, you CAN’T BELIEVE ME!” John 5:46-47. I was ‘hit between the eyes’! Suddenly I knew what was wrong with my faith! Whatever God’s Word said, I had always ‘agreed’ with it – in a ‘yes but’ kind of way! My head wouldn’t let His Word enter my heart! I had grown up in a Christian home where I was taught to honour Scripture, but at the same time to believe it was more a way of saying and recording things that they had ‘back then’, a way which was not historical nor absolutely factual, and therefore cannot stand up to the rigours and reality of modern intellectual scrutiny... But the whole of the Old Testament points to and reveals Christ – God’s way of escape from sin! I knew God had spoken to me in the garden. I made a total commitment, “Jesus, if You believed the Scriptures, if You say they testify of You (John 5:39-40), then – since that’s what You believed – I WILL TOO!” Starting from this premise, that I would believe that the entire Old Testament spoke of Jesus, testified of Him, I began at once – with a highlighter pen – to mark everything Jesus said and did, everything which I knew I hadn’t really believed, or only believed in a ‘yes but’ kind of way. I did this because Jesus had just said to me, now I would be able to believe! I think the first verse I marked was Luke 11:9, ‘Ask and you will receive’! Now that definitely was something Jesus said that was not in my heart! That evening I went to my fellowship as I usually did. But during the meeting the pastor’s eyes nearly popped out of his head, he was fixated by me and said, “This is extraordinary – I can see scrolls of Scripture entering into your belly! They just keep on going in!” From that day to this, I have allowed the invisible seed of the Word of God to enter into my soul. Slowly, day by day, in the fires of experience, I have learnt how to believe in the

power of God’s Word over trial and circumstance. I have learnt to keep the Word of God, and not to allow doubt, circumstances and the devil to rob me of it. Against the odds, I have seen the victory of the Word of God in the ministry I serve, in the lives of individuals where I have been privileged to witness the working of the almighty power of His Word, and in my own life. There have been tears, there has been darkness – that’s because we live down here where there is still deep darkness. Jesus Himself was not spared this experience, but Scripture records that during the days of His life on earth He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears – AND HE WAS HEARD BECAUSE OF HIS OBEDIENCE – so that today, He ever lives to intercede for us in Heaven, since He Himself was tempted as we are, yet did not sin and did not depart from God’s Word. – HE IS ABLE TO HELP US! Hebrews 3:17-18, 5:7-9, 7:24-25. Jesus is our way out! The Word of God says, with the temptation, the difficulty, the impossible thing that is troubling you, God always makes the WAY OF ESCAPE! 1 Corinthians 10:13. God’s Word is our way out, our way of escape, the ladder to Heaven, the light in the darkness, the path marked out for us. Jesus said, “I am the Way”, and the early disciples were known as ‘followers of the Way’. The Word of God is invisible – but has ALL POWER! Jesus IS the Word of God – through Him all things were made, all things are possible, in Him is life – John 1:3-4. He is the secret the scientists are searching for – the invisible energy behind all substance, the creative, spoken force of the universe, the author of every structure, every atom, of all DNA. HE upholds, sustains all things by the Word of HIS POWER – Hebrews 1:3! The Word of God is our fundamental connection with Heaven, with incorruptible eternity, with God. This is what we lost in the Garden of Eden when the devil asked that little question, “Did God say...?” – And we went ahead and disobeyed God! Jesus died, first to forgive our sin – the meaning of the word to ‘sin’ is to ‘miss the way’! We certainly have missed the Way! The second reason Jesus died is to restore our broken connection to God so that we can receive the Holy Spirit – SO THAT, THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT, YOU AND I CAN KNOW THE MIND AND WILL OF GOD! WE CAN FIND THE WAY! 1 Cor 2:8-16. It is the Holy Spirit who gives life to God’s Word, reveals God’s Invisible Plan for your life and mine, so that we can understand it and do it! 2 Corinthians 3:6.
