David Hathaway – Croydon, UK, January 2016 I was born in London, grew up in Croydon. I was only young when the war started. I remember the Battle of Britain, leaning out from my bedroom looking over Croydon Airport, watching the dogfights in the air, watching the flying bombs! The trick was to know, when the motor cut out, the bomb would come down... One time the motor cut above the house. I flew downstairs so fast, I don’t think my feet touched the steps!

At my age now I feel so conscious that life is a journey – and that in our Christian life we will never reach the end of that journey until we enter Heaven! Our Kingdom is not in this world, but in Heaven. The Kingdom of God will only come on earth when Messiah comes! So it’s a journey, and at the beginning of 2016 I’m reflecting on where we have been last year and where we are going this year. Someone said, the most important part of a journey is not the arriving, but the travelling! According to the Bible, what happens in your life during the journey is what influences the end!

Going to Israel in 1961 through the Iron Curtain countries, then Turkey and Syria, was so exciting, it was this journey, more than arriving in Jerusalem, that was to change my whole life! I was the first ever to make the overland journey from Britain across Europe to Israel by road. It aroused so much interest that hundreds then wanted to go and I had to start a travel company! It was the 1960s, the height of the Cold War. I was virtually the only person with licenses from all the communist countries to travel freely everywhere behind the Iron Curtain!

And every time I crossed the border into East Europe, I would bring with me 2 tonnes of Bibles, New Testaments and Gospels, hidden in a secret compartment in my tour bus, for the underground churches! Today, despite my year in a communist prison, I am still one of the very few people with a 12 month multiple entry visa to preach the Gospel all over Russia!

I want to share something personal about this ‘spiritual journey’. Last year I had some spiritual experiences I’ve never had before. I’m not getting old, I’m getting younger! More enthusiastic, more energetic. Spiritually so many at my age are on a backward journey.

They lose the power, the desire. But the more I journey on, the more exciting the journey becomes.

Last June I held a conference on evangelism with 118 people. It was a time of meeting with God. And during those 2 days we went into prayer, on our knees

before God. The Holy Spirit came down in power, a fresh visitation! It had such a dramatic effect on me, it was the beginning of a further change in my life!

Shortly after that, I was with the Vietnamese refugees for their Summer Camp in East Germany. Every year 600 to 1000 gather together from all over Europe. Some fled communist Vietnam under persecution as Christians, others won scholarships to study in communist East Europe – and found Christ! They are so on fire, they are believing God will open Vietnam to the preaching of the Gospel. The leader of these Vietnamese has already bought the equipment to hold large scale evangelism, and he says I must continue to come to the Summer Camp every year until together we go into Vietnam to evangelise! I’ve been with them seven years now, it’s a journey! But last summer was different: their young people, their choir, were singing from their hearts, “I want to see Jesus!” – that changed my message!

From there I went straight to Austria to my prayer mountain – 10,000 feet up – and I was crying out, “Oh God, I want to see You! To see Your Face!” I know that no one has ever seen His Face, He is so Holy. So I was saying, “Lord, if I cannot see Your Face, I want to see Your Hand!

Just as Moses saw only the Finger of God writing in stone! Lord, show me Your Hand! In other words, let me see You IN ACTION!” Last year in Israel was also a breakthrough, because in May, for the first time in history, the Gospel message was broadcast LIVE on one of the most popular national TV networks in Israel!!! I could hardly believe it myself till I saw the big TV trucks, all the equipment and cables! As I preached Messiah to these unbelievers, several independent witnesses saw the same thing (the tent had an open backdrop to the walls of Jerusalem): a dove hovering behind me as I spoke! Something happened in the spirit realm! Then again in November, we took the Maxi Dome in Tel Aviv for 2 days: two thousand unbelievers came.

And people said, “Something has happened! A step higher spiritually, a height you’ve not reached before!” Again it was broadcast live!

We’re on a journey! It’s like climbing a mountain! I remember an experience I had as a boy on holiday on the south coast. I’ve always loved prayer and I’ve always loved hills. After dinner one night I left the family and went alone to climb the steep cliff path. Getting towards the top, I came to a place where there was a bush and I couldn’t go any further, I

was conscious that the devil himself was stopping me from reaching higher. I battled and battled, I knelt on the ground and cried out. But I could not get beyond that point! The second night, I tried again. When I got to that same spot, to that small bush, I couldn’t get beyond! There was a ‘barrier’!

Something held me back. I knew it was demonic, I was in fear, and in the end ran back down and told my father (a great man of God, a pioneer of the Pentecostal movement in Britain). He showed me how to plead the power of the Blood of Jesus and break that barrier. The third night I went again.

Again I could not get beyond that point.

But I would not rest, I would not go home without getting to the top – I had to get that victory. This time I prevailed in prayer and I did it – I reached the top!!!

And what an impact it had on my life!

That was 70 years ago, but we are on a journey and we must press on! We’ve got to reach the top! Not stop part way!

There are so many things which would hold us back and hinder us! But we’ve got to go on, and on! Whatever age I am, I’m on a journey, climbing. This year I must go higher still!

Last August I was speaking in a conference in Cornwall. The musicians were looking for a breakthrough in worship that would bring the glory of God as it did in 2 Chronicles 5:14, when the priests could not stand because of the glory that filled the Temple! I want that! I don’t yet have enough of the Holy Spirit in my life! And the harder the fight to climb the mountain, the more we need the Holy Spirit! The harder the devil attacks, the more we need God and the Holy Spirit to get that victory! We will NOT be defeated – the church MUST overcome!

But the breakthrough is not found just in worship. The spiritual challenge of my whole life is to build the ‘Temple’: not the literal Temple in Jerusalem – but to glorify God on earth! The whole purpose of that first Temple was to be – the demonstration of the glory of God here on earth! The whole purpose of Christ’s first Coming was to be – ‘Emmanuel’ – God WITH us on earth! We need this reality of the very Presence of God – in our country, in our church, in our personal lives – today! We must demonstrate who God is to people who don’t understand! It’s not about issues of women priests, homosexuality – or any other crisis in the world today – we’re not dealing with political or military issues – it’s a spiritual issue! We need a revival of miracles in the church so that the miracles can demonstrate who our God really is! People convert to Islam because Islam is offering something concrete that isn’t being offered

by a dead church. But a live church has a million times more to offer than any religion or any ‘prophet’. Islam has no glory. Our power is with a God who will answer and work miracles!

When Solomon dedicated the Temple in Jerusalem, he brought in the singers and musicians, until even the priests could not enter because of the glory of God that filled the House! But by the time we get to 2 Chronicles 7:1, Solomon has made an end of praying: not only has the glory filled the House, but fire has fallen from Heaven on the sacrifice!!! I’m looking beyond the worship, I’m seeing the glory, the fire, the demonstrative power of God! What made the difference? Two things. First: Solomon had brought into the Temple the Ark of the Covenant – 2 Chronicles 6:11 – the Word of God was in the Temple!!! We’ve got to get back to the power and authority of God’s Word! The Anglican Church is facing a major split, between those who believe God’s Word is true, and those who believe you can change what God says! We have got to get back to the authority of the unchangeable Word of God! The second thing that brought the fire: Solomon built an altar of sacrifice, climbed on the platform, kneeled down and offered himself on it – 2 Chronicles 6:12-13. If we want to transform the glory into the fire of God, the point at which the fire falls is at the altar of sacrifice! In Leviticus 6 the command of God is, that when the priest lights the fire on the altar, that fire must never go out! What did the fire consume?! Not just wood.

Sacrifice!!! The way you keep the fire burning on the altar is by putting on more and more sacrifice! If we want to see the increase of the fire and the power and the glory of God in our lives, we’ve got to put more sacrifice on the altar! Then the fire will come!

We need to spend more time in prayer and seeking the Face of God in order to build that altar, then when we put ourselves on that altar, the fire of God will

come down! In 2 Chronicles 7:12-14, the Lord says to Solomon, “I have heard your prayer and chosen this place for sacrifice... So that when I shut up the heavens, if My people who are called

by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land...”

On that mountain in Austria last summer, challenged by those Vietnamese, I was saying, “Oh Lord I want to see Your Face, I want to see Your Glory, I want to see You!” I’m seeking God in prayer, I want to see His Hand, what He does, His power! I want to see God moving – saving people, converting the sinner, working MIRACLES! From aged 13 when I first received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I have coveted the gift of faith more than any other. I saw it being a key in ministry.

It’s governed my whole life. But I’ve never thought that I could ever say of that gift, “Oh I’ve got it!” Faith is only as good as the use you put it to. Faith is demonstrated by your life. Faith is not an arriving, but a journey. I’ll never come to the end of receiving, or learning, the gift of faith.

Someone said, “Faith is believing for something you can’t see, but the reward of faith is to see what you believed for!”

When I set off for Jerusalem all those years ago in 1961, it was so fraught with danger, that my father prayed day and night, “Oh God, stop David!” He feared I wouldn’t come back alive. Even the British Foreign Office said don’t go! But I went because for me it was a step of faith, a progression in my journey. I was going somewhere I had never seen, on roads no one had ever travelled, but I believed I would get there – and that when I got there, that I would receive another baptism of the Holy Spirit! The result of my faith was to see what I believed for! It changed my whole life.

Every year on my prayer mountain I’ve

been asking God to renew the gift of faith. All these years I’ve had a growing faith. But on that mountain last summer, I changed my praying. I want to leave behind the base camp and move on up the mountain of faith!

Last year was a spiritual pinnacle for me, now I’ve got to go higher! The danger is, you can come down from that glory on the mountain and lose what you have learned. One time with my wife and daughters we went up a mountain in Switzerland. Every time we thought we were about to reach the top, however high we climbed, there was always another, higher peak In front! Then a mist came down and, to find our way back, we had to follow the telegraph wires!

You see, we need to travel with a sense of purpose and direction – with God! The guide lines are the Word of God – His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path – it gives us direction and purpose.

In my life, my purpose is to bring the glory back to God. David’s desire to build the Temple was to show God’s Glory on earth. Today our purpose is to show His Glory to an unbelieving world: in evangelism, in salvation, deliverance and healing – and in the working of MIRACLES. Jesus was a man approved of God BY MIRACLES, BY SIGNS, BY WONDERS. I’ve seen every kind of miracle in my ministry. But however high I have gone, there’s another peak, another height, I have got to get to the next level, to move on and up, spend time in prayer – to get closer to God, to see His Hand... If we want to see the Hand of God, we’ve got to cry out and believe for the miraculous in our lives – every one of us!

We have to demonstrate who our God really is – to an unbelieving world! I believe it will happen when we move from the glory to the FIRE, when we put ourselves on the altar! Then the FIRE of God will fall on us!

David Hathaway – Luxembourg January 2016 God speaks to us from His Word, from the Bible. But real communication can be one of the hardest things in the world.

Young people today are all on the internet. On average they say that men have 140 ‘friends’ on the social media, women 160... So, on average 150... But when the researchers asked, ‘When you are in trouble, how many of those friends will help you?’ – the answer was three, maximum four! So in reality, those 150 are not friends! They are out there somewhere, on the internet. They are not face-to-face friends!

This is an important lesson to us spiritually – God must not become someone distant. In the Old Testament there was a distance between God and man – you had the Temple with symbols of a God you couldn’t see. But the message of the New Testament is ‘Emmanuel’ – God WITH us!

Somebody you can talk to! Think what it was like for the disciples: Here is Jesus.

You have breakfast together, lunch together, you go fishing on the lake together. The disciples were not religious, they were very ordinary people. But the relationship they had with Jesus was very personal. They walked together, talked together, did everything together – real communication! One of the most important things we have to do as Christians is to establish communication, build personal relationship, with God! This morning I was remembering an old Christian song: ‘I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses, and the voice I hear falling on my ear the Son of God discloses! And He walks with me, and He talks with me – and He tells me I am His own!’ What a wonderful thing!

Our experience with the Son of God must be a personal relationship!

people who the REAL Jesus is!” If people KNEW Him, they would fall in love with Him, you’d want to spend your whole life with Him! He’s my best friend, my constant companion! He goes everywhere with me. He protects me, watches over me, understands me, listens to me, wants to talk with me.

As I was walking round the lake, I was saying to the Holy Spirit, “Jesus said to His disciples, ‘You see all the miracles I have done? – When I’ve gone, YOU are going to be able to do these same things, and more, because I am going to My Father and He will send the Holy Spirit to enable you to do it.’” Jesus was born as the Son of God, by a miracle of the Holy Spirit, but born as the son of a woman, to be the ‘human face’ of God! The Bible says when He came, He left behind all His Heavenly powers to become a man, to live as a man, subject to the same temptations and weaknesses – but without sin.

One hundred percent God, but one hundred percent man, coming to live as we live. It seemed that the Holy Spirit was explaining something to me. Jesus came without any supernatural power: all the power that He had down here was given Him by the Holy Spirit. He worked the miracles by the Holy Spirit in Him! So when Jesus said to His disciples, “You are only ordinary people – but you will be able to do what I have done – and more...” – how was that going to happen? It has to be when the Holy Spirit comes into us!

The amazing thing about Jesus is the time He spent in communication with His own Father! Jesus spent a lot of time on the mountains, on the Lake of Galilee, with His Father. I’m on a spiritual journey. I’ve been travelling this road since I fell in love with Jesus when I was 8 years old. Aged 83 I’m still travelling. All the time I’m learning more, and it brings me closer to Jesus.

I understand Him more.

Those 120 in the Upper Room on the Day of Pentecost were afraid. Yes, they had met together for prayer, but they were so afraid of persecution, they hadn’t been preaching the Gospel, they hadn’t worked any miracles – they had locked the doors and windows! But when the Holy Spirit came with flames of fire and a rushing wind, what a transformation!

Immediately those disciples were completely changed! Peter, who for fear in the Judgement Hall, had denied Jesus three times to a servant girl and lied to her that he did not know Him, was the first to jump up on the roof top and preach Christ! Three thousand were converted!

That was the Holy Spirit, and from that moment on their ministry began!

Two years ago, coming down the mountain in Austria, walking around the lake, I was having a talk with Jesus, with the Holy Spirit. Every time when I preach, I say to the Holy Spirit, “You know Jesus better than I do,” – after all, He was born of the Holy Spirit, filled with the Holy Spirit, raised by the Holy Spirit – “help me show the

So as I’m walking round the lake talking to the Holy Spirit, I’m saying, “I’m not seeing bigger miracles than Jesus!” Yes, I have seen the most incredible miracles.

One of the first I saw as a young pastor, 21 years old, was an old man in my church in his 70s. He had terminal cancer, they had removed much of his internal

organs, and sent him home to die. They gave him 3 weeks. To me he had been a problem in my church, he was no friend.

But the Holy Spirit told me to take a group and lay our hands on him. I didn’t have much faith. But over the next few days I saw the cancer come away from his body... They took him back into hospital to restore his bodily functions, but he was such a difficult man, they threw him out of the hospital without any treatment or operation. Within a short time the dying man was back in the church, completely healed! But I had seen something in this man: he was no friend of mine, but visiting him in his home, I saw his love for Jesus, I heard him pray, I saw him with his Bible – he had a relationship, not with me, but with Jesus! It showed me, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE, miracles can happen!

I was born again when I was only 8, so I grew up with a childlike faith. To me, God is a wonderful Father. My own father was wonderful, I loved him, he loved me, we had a close relationship. He was always there – my Dad! When I was in difficulty, I would talk with him. That’s where I learnt all my first spiritual lessons. I would ask him questions, he would give me all the Scriptures. Night after night, after supper my father and I would have long discussions. And every morning, the first sound that I heard when I woke was my father downstairs – talking with his Father! – I learnt where he got his power from!!!

Everything depends on your relationship with God. We’ve got to talk with Him. When I was walking round that lake, I understood, the reason Jesus could work those miracles was because of the Holy Spirit. And Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit so we can do the same things! He said we would do greater things!!! I’ve not got to THAT level yet, I’ve a long way to go! I’m on a spiritual journey. I haven’t reached the top of the mountain! It’s a fight to go up. But don’t let the devil stop you! With God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

In the vision translated by Daniel he saw the last world empire which would be destroyed at the Lord’s coming. The legs of iron were the Roman Empire which existed at the time of Christ. After Constantine adopted Christianity as a State Religion in the 3rd Century AD, Church and State became one, the Holy Roman Empire. But 700 years later with the division between Rome and Constantinople, this religious empire divided into two – Roman Catholic in the West and Orthodox in the East.

Out of this ultimately came the secular European Union, brought into being by the Treaty of Rome in 1957. This empire, the feet of the image as Daniel showed, is a mixture of iron and clay, cannot hold together and will be destroyed by the Coming of Christ – Daniel 2:42-44. The EU is literally a

mixture of the strong nations such as Germany and France, which control the weaker ones such as Greece, Portugal, Spain and the former communist countries.

In 2007 the European Council (the UNELECTED, UNDEMOCRATIC controlling body of the EU) met in Lisbon to set in motion a new Constitution for Europe. Known as the Lisbon Treaty, this was to modify and replace the founding 1957 Treaty of Rome, also the 1992 Maastricht Treaty which itself had been purposely drafted to DRIVE FORWARD THE INTEGRATION OF EUROPE TO ITS FINAL CONCLUSION. All 27 Member States (as they were then) were obliged to ratify this new Constitution by December 2009. Some governments simply signed up to the treaty without consulting their peoples. Some countries allowed their peoples a referendum.

In June 2008 we were surprised to hear reports on the international news media about the Irish referendum to be held on the Lisbon Treaty, and the threats/pressures being put on the people of the Republic of Ireland to NOT reject it… We called friends in Northern Ireland – no-one knew the referendum was taking place in Southern Ireland that very next day!!!

We found out, the British media were running a total news blackout!

Why…?

The Irish voted NO to the treaty! We read the post-referendum reports in French, German and English newspapers: how was Brussels going to respond? – The papers were unanimous – Brussels would either ignore the NO vote and proceed with the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty anyway, or make the Irish vote YES. That’s exactly what happened; within 16 months there was a re-run of the referendum. This time, the Irish voted YES…! Why…?

Over the years several countries have had the opportunity to hold a referendum on certain different issues and treaties to do with the European Union. At different times the peoples of Denmark, Spain, Portugal, France, Holland – and the Republic of Ireland – have voted NO when given the opportunity – to NO effect!!! Why…?

In its 2005 pre-election manifesto, the British Labour Party promised British voters a referendum on the upcoming new European Constitution, the Lisbon Treaty. Giscard d’Estaing, who drafted and redrafted the treaty, himself actually said of it that it was ‘carefully crafted to confuse the public with different passages in different places on different pages, to mix everything up’! Because of this ‘redrafting’, Gordon Brown, as the newly elected Labour British Prime Minister, was able to renege on his promise to allow the British people a referendum – he steamrollered the Lisbon Treaty through Parliament just days after the Irish rejected it – even though million-

aire businessman, Stuart Wheeler, was at that time challenging the legality of the actions of the British Government in the High Courts!

Czech Republic and Poland had still not ratified the treaty. What happened in Ireland and Britain put pressure on them to sign. Czech President, Václaw Klaus, declared that ratification could NOT continue after being rejected by Irish voters: “The EU cannot ignore its own rules. The Lisbon Treaty has been roundly and democratically rejected by Ireland, and it therefore cannot come into force.

Any attempt to ignore this fact and recourse to pressure and political manipulation to move the treaty forward would have disastrous consequences for Europe.” But Poland and Czech Republic both signed just before the ratification deadline date of December 2009. Why…?

The EU is not just a free trade area, a ‘common market’. At its core it’s about FISCAL AND POLITICAL UNION. Very few people are aware of the extent of the plans Brussels has been implementing since 1990 and for which the Maastricht Treaty of 1992 and the Lisbon Treaty were essential.

The plan, known as ‘INTERREG’, is to create a ‘Europe of the Regions’, a super-state to ‘permanently overcome old borders’ and to achieve a ‘UNITED EUROPE’.

The Government of the United Kingdom has itself ‘devolved’ its own Union into its constituent parts, with Scotland and Wales having their own parliaments since 1998. Gordon Brown attempted to further devolve the regions, but failed.

But under ‘INTERREG’ the EU is preparing to divide Britain into three regions, all being joined to areas in other European countries! Each new zone is to have its own ‘transnational regional assembly’ and flag. The ‘Arc Manche’ region joins parts of southern England with northern France; the Atlantic region includes western parts

of England, Wales and Ireland joined to Portugal and Spain; the North region has eastern England joined with Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands and parts of Germany.

There are 5 stages to ‘INTERREG’ – we are currently in the fifth and FINAL stage, 2014-2020!

The EU is presently in such a crisis over finance and migration – that they need to include Turkey (with 70 million Moslems) and create a single military and political entity. But the EU is UNDEMOCRATIC AND UNACCOUNTABLE. When I said to the European Head of the Pentecostal Churches in Kiev recently, that the EU is worse than communism, he replied that, after years of living as a Christian under communism and now negotiating in Brussels – the EU is ONE HUNDRED TIMES WORSE THAN COMMUNISM! In all the years since the formation of the Common Market, the evidence is that every single British Prime Minister – from Ted Heath to Tony Blair – knew the truth, but lied to the British people.

What evidence is there that David Cameron is telling the truth?

Napoleon and Hitler attempted to destroy national sovereignty and democracy, Britain defeated them.

The EU is a further clear attempt to destroy sovereignty and democracy!

What sinister power is controlling the EU? Don’t get confused, it’s not the ‘Antichrist’. But is it the devil himself pre-empting the Kingdom of God on earth?

The issue over the referendum is not just a spiritual one – sadly Europe is very secular and Britain, over the past years, has become not just secular but controlled by an atheistic minority. That is why the statement made many years ago by French President Chirac, ‘In creating a secular state we created a dry river bed of atheism which will attract a flood tide of false religion,’ is so prophetic.

In February David held ten days of ministry in Ukraine. The meetings, both public and private, were in preparation for a National Day of Prayer to be held, with the support of every Christian denomination, in Kiev, this summer, on 18 June.

The meetings held in February were also a tremendous opportunity for church evangelism. In one church alone, David spoke to over 3000 and more than 600 came forward to receive Christ as their Lord and Saviour for the first time. In every Gospel meeting God confirmed the message with

ethnic lines, the people angered by corruption in the government. The problems in Ukraine cannot be solved solely by political or military means – the churches recognise that only prayer can change the destiny of Ukraine. All the Ukrainian churches will support a National Day of Prayer – but only if we organise – to do this, we need your prayer support!

many miracles of healing, including many healed of goitres and thyroid disorders (a big problem in Ukraine following the Chernobyl nuclear disaster). We have the report that, in the last of the evangelistic meetings, one person has now been medically confirmed healed of lymphoma!

We need your help to bring the whole nation together to call on God for deliverance and to change the destiny of this country.

I believe that God can remove the Russian tanks and guns and restore the sovereignty of the Ukraine – by the power of prayer!

I believe in miracles! Jesus said to His disciples – to us – in Acts 1:8, “YOU will receive POWER after the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses – YOU will evangelise the whole world!” That’s what Jesus said!

We must expect miracles and go out and DO the things we talk about!

What I said to the Church in Kiev is very challenging – but it shows the level of my faith. I have hired the 10,000 seat Sport Palace in Kiev and called for a National Day of Prayer on June 18th. For two years the war has been fought in Eastern Ukraine – neither the politicians nor the military can bring a solution – but I believe that when all the Churches come together as in 2 Chronicles 7:14, ‘If my people will humble themselves and pray…’ – God will drive out the tanks and bring peace!

God’s power is no less than it was 2000 years ago. People say, “Oh that happened in the Bible, it can’t happen today...” But God made the world as we know it, six thousand years ago!

Over 3000 years ago, God destroyed the most powerful army in the world in just one moment of time! – People don’t understand the power of the God of the Bible! You’ve got to begin to read this Book and see what kind of a God we have! The more I read, the more I see the power of God, the more I believe in miracles: because if God could set Israel free from Egypt,

and destroy the whole of the Egyptian army when it was pursuing them, He can do the same today!

I’m challenging you to learn how to pray! For two years on Ukrainian territory, you have tanks, guns, people fleeing from their homes, people being killed... But you have a God who can stop the war, stop the killing, remove the tanks – that’s the kind of God we have! That’s why I’m coming to Ukraine on 18 June to hold a National Day of Prayer. So that God will work a miracle in Ukraine so great, that the world will see that our God has more power than the military, more power than the politicians – more power than America or the European Union or Russia! I believe in God! Christians, I want to challenge you! If you really KNOW God, if you BELIEVE God, NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING is impossible!

We have a Gospel of power, of authority! In Mark 11:12, Jesus and His disciples were going from Bethany to Jerusalem – and they were hungry.

Jesus saw there was a fig tree, but there were no figs! Jesus cursed the tree! And the next day Peter saw that it was already dead! Jesus said (v2324), “Have faith in God! For whosoever shall say to this mountain” – that was the Mount of Olives – “be removed and cast into the sea” – that meant down into the Dead Sea, 1600 meters below – “whosoever shall say that, and will not doubt but believe that what he says will come to pass, he will have what he says!” In other words, if you have the faith to believe God, and you speak in faith, God will do what you say! In my ministry, when I pray with the sick, the sick are healed.

I have seen miracles of healing and every kind of miracle, from the very beginning of my ministry. Do you see the power that we have with God when we believe His Words?

I want to challenge Ukraine. As a nation, you turned your back on God! Ukraine, you’ve turned away from God! I call on the whole nation of Ukraine: Repent of your sin, call on God – God will deliver you! God sent His Son to break the curse in Ukraine, to set you free! When God is love, when

Do you see the power? God said, “You have POWER WITH GOD and with men!”

Jesus came as the living evidence of God, as His Son, Emmanuel, God with us. And we Christians are the ONLY people in the world who KNOW that Jesus really IS the Son of God! Moslems say He was a ‘prophet’ (but lesser than Mohammed). Jesus was NOT a ‘prophet’, He WAS and IS today the Son of God! So many in the Church believe in ‘God’, but the Bible shows that there are many gods in the world, so which ‘god’ do they believe in?

Many don’t know God has a Son, Jesus! I KNOW who Jesus is! My God sent His Son, Jesus, who died on a cross to forgive my sin, He was beaten to heal my cancer. He healed me of throat cancer in 1964 and of lung cancer in 2004 – without any medication, without any operation, by an absolute miracle! Jesus is the Son of God with power! – Power on earth, not just in Heaven – power HERE! Power to forgive sin, to heal sickness, to answer prayer, to break the curse of the devil!

Power to set Ukraine free, to drive out the tanks, to bring peace, not just in Donetsk region, but peace in Maidan Square in Kiev, in the heart of the nation, in the whole nation. Only God in Jesus’ Name can work this miracle. I believe God will do it. Why? To show the politicians, the military, that God has more power than any government, more power than your Ukraine government, more power than Obama in America, more power than Merkel in Germany, more power than Putin!!! Do YOU believe in the God of the Bible?!!

God came to teach and to bring forgiveness – why do we turn our backs on God? I want to see a miracle here in Ukraine! Confess your sin, and confess Jesus Christ as Lord of your life and of your nation.

David Hathaway – Lutsk, Ukraine February 2016 I want to teach you HOW to pray. I’m an evangelist, but I cannot evangelise without prayer. Without that I have no power in my ministry. Together we are working for a Day of Prayer to save Ukraine. We can save your nation when we learn HOW to pray. People talk about ‘anointing’, they want the anointing that I have. But it’s more than anointing, I’ve learned authority. When Jesus healed the Roman centurion’s servant, the centurion saw the authority Jesus had. We also have authority!

When I was in a communist prison in 1972 for smuggling Bibles into the Communist Bloc (2 tonnes every time I came), I was pastor, evangelist – but I had to learn all over again HOW to pray.

For the first six months, it seemed as if there was NO answer. I prayed I would be released – but I was condemned in the court to stay. I prayed for food – there was none. I prayed my wife would be able to visit me – she was refused permission. For six months I was learning HOW to pray in a cell where I was never alone – I shared my cramped cell with a murderer, drug smugglers, criminals – the lights were on 24 hours a day – the guards brutalised us every night. The only place of comfort that I had was a wooden stool with nails in it – I was forced to sit on that for more than 12 hours a day! Conditions were extreme.

HOW could I learn how to pray? I had to deprive myself physically, so that with no watch, no clock, I could force myself awake in the night in order to be alone with God. But there was NO answer. I remember the emotion that morning, after six months, in the early hours, and I was saying, “Oh God I can’t pray any more. Every prayer – You don’t answer.

Every time I call – the answer is NO. Oh God, I cannot talk with You, I cannot pray, I’m better dead. Why live, if I have no communion with You? Why live, if You have forgotten me?” In desperation, that morning, in the awfulness of that cell, as I sat on those nails, I couldn’t cry out to God any more.

And then I remembered the words of the disciples to Jesus, when even they didn’t know how to pray, and I cried out like them, “Oh Lord, teach me HOW to

pray!” And the Holy Spirit reminded me of the Lord’s Prayer. As a boy I attended a boys’ school, where every morning we had to repeat the Lord’s Prayer. To the other boys it was not a prayer, it was a blasphemy, so that I vowed from my childhood I would never ever recite the Lord’s Prayer, because Jesus said we must avoid vain, empty repetitions – the heathen do that.

So I began to say, “Our Father”, but I argued, “That’s plural, I’m alone in here.

I’m not in church. I have to say, ‘my’ Father!” Suddenly I knew, He’s MINE! He’s my FATHER! I’m HIS child! I’m locked in this stinking prison, but He’s not only MINE, He’s my FATHER! Then I came to the next part, ’Who is in Heaven...’ – But I argued, “You’re in Heavenly glory, with angel choirs, worship, power... I’m not in Heaven, I’m in a filthy cell, in a hell on earth! Oh God, You’re up there in Heaven, don’t You understand?!! I’m in a living hell!!!”

Then I remembered, God so loved me, He sent His Son, not only to live on earth, but to go into a prison like me. God allowed His own Son to be incarcerated, beaten, tortured – so much, He should have died under the beating, there and then in that prison cell, even before He reached the cross! God allowed it. Who am I if I am called to suffer?

And then I came to the next part, ‘Hallowed be Thy Name’. What does that mean? I have never understood.

But it was as if the Lord said to me, “This is where you have to worship.” But HOW could I in the circumstances I was in? I tried to ‘praise’ God through clenched teeth. Can you imagine?!! I was in rebellion, there was no reality. HOW could I praise God in the depths of hell?

Suddenly, as I began to say those words, ‘Praise the Lord’, it was if the roof of the prison opened. I could hear the angel choirs, I heard the music of Heaven, I sensed the glory of Heaven – something happened in that cell. The glory of God came down! It was as if I was transported into Heaven and the glory of God came on me. I leaped up off that stool and began to run around that cell, singing, shouting, “Then sings

my soul, my Saviour God to Thee, HOW great Thou art!” The glory of God filled my soul. Never in a church or prayer meeting have I ever experienced the glory of God, the very presence and power of God – as I did in that hell on earth. There I learned HOW TO PRAY! From that moment everything changed.

I began to receive food. I had a visit from my family. And the greatest miracle, after only 10 months God sent the British Prime Minister to rescue me! That’s prayer! It’s not when everything is ok, it’s when you are in the pit of hell, when the devil is surrounding you, when you don’t know how to open your mouth to pray...

But something from within tells you, “He’s MINE! He’s MY Father! He sent His Son to experience hell on earth – for ME!” In that moment I was transported into the glory of Heaven. I’d never seen the brilliance of the light or heard the sweetness of the music until that moment when God taught me HOW to pray!

Join me in prayer: “Oh God, You came to rescue even the greatest sinner from the depths of hell, give us a passion when we pray! Teach me to love the sinner, as You love me! Oh God, touch our hearts, open our hearts, open our eyes to see Jesus! – I want to see Jesus, not in Heaven, but down here, on earth, in Ukraine, in my country! Oh God touch this nation, let this nation see Jesus, let them see Your glory, Your power!” Cry out with me: “Oh God, I want to see Jesus, here, in my suffering, in my poverty, in my sickness, in this hell on earth, in my nation, in my family! I want to see the glory of God, I want to see YOU Jesus! Please teach ME how to pray!”

This winter a friend of the ministry made it possible to spend some time in the most spectacular breathtaking mountains in all Europe.

On top of Jungfraujoch, on top of Europe, I had the feeling of perching on top of the whole world on a fine razor blade of rock, above many razor blades – as far as the eye could see!

What force, what energy made this?!

Nothing is impossible to him who believes – Jesus, through whom these mountains were made, said so! He knows mountains can be raised up and flattened – He Himself already did it!

As I went out from the research station on top of the Jungfraujoch onto the open air balcony – a metal grille suspended high above the sheer drop into the deep, deep valley below – I saw a plaque over the door which says: ‘Come and see the great works of the Lord! Psalm 66:5.’ To Job God said, “Where were YOU when I laid the foundations of the earth?!!” – Job 38:4. Then God showed Job all the greatness of His creation, until Job confessed, “I KNOW YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING!” – Job 42:2.

Our God has ALL POWER – He CAN DO whatever He has said!!! God promised Abraham a child through Sarah. –

They were both well past childbearing, but Abraham believed God. The record is that he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised. – Romans 4:17-21. Whatever God has said, He will do. Abraham saw that God, who made the countless stars, could also give him the promised child, and through this child, descendants as countless as the stars – even though he and Sarah were as good as dead! Abraham gave God glory BEFORE he received the promise. How could God fail?!!

What is visible to us in the natural realm reveals the invisible power of God! EVERYONE can see His power, His invisible, incredible creative power – just by looking at what He has made!!! So, if we doubt His power, we are in fact ‘without excuse’ as Paul wrote in Romans 1:20! How stupid to think our circumstances are more powerful than the Creator! Study of the world and the universe clearly shows us that God has power to do ANYTHING! Power to fulfil every promise and perform every Word, every plan of His! On our way home from the mountains,

I was wondering what the future will hold... I remembered Jesus and His three closest disciples on the Mount of Transfiguration where they saw His Glory and heard the Voice of God speak from Heaven. But in the valley the disciples were unable to heal the troubled sick boy. Jesus rebuked them severely for their lack of faith. But He told them very strongly, that even with the smallest faith, they could move mountains! – Matthew 17:1-21. The faith we receive on the mountain with God, we must use in the valley! Jesus said so! He said it is PERVERSE not to!

I remembered the feeling when, from the sun-bathed mountain peak, our gondola swung forward, then plunged swiftly down into the deep dark valley floor below where our hotel and the whole village lay in shadow. Psalm 23 swept over my mind, ‘though I go through the valley of shadow of death (where the light of the sun is cut off), I will fear no evil!’

– DON’T FEAR THE EVIL! The Lord IS with you!

Jesus and His disciples experienced the power of God on the mountains of Israel. Peter never forgot the Voice from Heaven on the Mount of Transfiguration which said: “LISTEN! – LISTEN to what Jesus says to you!!!”
