My prayer is for the whole of Europe! France was the first European country to reject God when the French Revolution brought about a separation between Church and State. When I was a boy at school, it was written in our history books that the only thing which saved Britain from the French Revolution was the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by John and Charles Wesley! Our history in Britain records the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to save a nation! That’s why I love to say with Apostle Paul, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for in the preaching of the Gospel – is ALL the power of God, all the wisdom of God, all the miracles of God, all the glory of God – it’s in the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus!” If we want to release the power of God, this power is in the Name of Jesus! I am very concerned by the distress and division in Britain: it is affecting everyone, from the Government to the smallest communities in the farthest corners of the nation. The Bible teaches, ‘IF My people...’ that is you and I as believers, ‘will humble themselves and pray, and seek My Face, and turn from their wicked ways... I WILL heal their land!’ The future of Britain, of any nation, is in the hands of the intercessor. Prayer is of the utmost importance and must precede any move of God. Remember my father was converted in the Welsh Revival and my ministry is the result of his prayers over me! For over 50 years my ministry has been outside Britain in the communist countries of East Europe, Russia, Ukraine, and in Israel, but I have agonised over my own country. Coming back to this nation, many times I have despaired... I am so concerned that, for more than a year now, I have been praying God would open a door for me into Britain; following the impact of the first National Day of Prayer in Ukraine in Summer 2016 and then in May 2017, I had a strong desire to hold a National Day of Prayer in the UK. But every door I tried to open was shut. It was only in June this year, that God put it on my heart, and I heard Him say, “Don’t start from top, start from the bottom.” In

Ukraine it started from the top, every leader of every denomination came together to stand as one on the Authority of God’s Word and in the Power in Jesus’ Name. They humbled themselves and confessed their sins – and declared that, if they had been right before God, there would not be bloodshed on their land. It drives me to tears that this could happen in a former communist nation where, only 25 years ago, believers were persecuted and I was considered their ‘Public Enemy No. 1’ because of the Gospel I preached. The President issued a statement, broadcast on TV on the Day of Prayer this year, “THE PEOPLE OF UKRAINE HAVE CHOSEN THE CHURCH AND GOD – NOW THE GOVERNMENT MUST DO THE SAME, WE MUST RESPECT THE CHOICE OF THE PEOPLE!” And the Government has declared 2018 as the ‘Year of the Word of God’! There is a process of healing going on in Ukraine which is unique. It is quite the opposite in Britain. The Church is choosing to accommodate itself to changing secular standards. The reason we called this Day of Prayer here is because, for too long now, we have been controlled by a tiny minority who are driving the agenda. In our schools and universities, the children cannot be called boys or girls, male or female. The Government and the Church allow same sex marriage. Shame on the nation! I’m sorry, I’m taking a stand. Together with others, we declared a Day of Prayer for Britain on September 8th – little did we know that it was on that day in 1940 that our present Queen’s father, King George VI, called the whole nation to pray. We were losing the battle in the air, ‘The Battle of Britain’,

but in answer to prayer, God turned the German Airforce away. There are times when God will deliver because of the faithful ones in prayer. Today this nation is going through a period of judgement, and the most guilty party is the Church. We have to call the Church to repent. If the Church in Britain does not repent, the nation will be destroyed. On 8 September this year, the 77th anniversary of the National Day of Prayer called by King George VI, we packed the Emmanuel Centre in Westminster, London – 1400 intercessors in the main hall and in the overflow – and more than 100 other prayer groups all over Britain, meeting on that same day at that same time. I believe this is only a beginning – in my spirit I can already see God moving once more in our nation. I opened the prayer: “We have to make a declaration before God as the representatives of the 7000 in the day of Elijah, those who have not bowed the knee and will not bow the knee! The devil is not going to win! We declare that Great Britain is the United Kingdoms of England – Scotland – Wales and Northern Ireland, united under God and Queen. O God – don’t let any power on earth break the unity of our United Kingdom! In the power of the Holy Spirit and in the Name of Jesus, I declare that this nation shall not be divided, but remain united. And I have a dream, a vision for Ireland – the last thing Ireland wants is to return to a military and customs border because of Brexit. No politician can solve this – but I believe God is going to solve every problem in Ireland when we pray. The devil is not going to stop us. God has never ever been defeated in history, from the day of Creation till now. “Our God is a God of war – and victory. Last year when I took the Roman Amphitheatre in Caesarea for evangelism, the devil threw everything at us to stop us – a legal injunction with the Government, every kind of disruptive action. We won every battle. Then the devil threw a storm on the very day we were to hold the event, the strongest storm they had ever seen in that place, so strong, the gantry on the stage holding the loud speakers and screens, was swaying 3 feet in either direction – 4000 people outside the arena waiting to get in – and the police would not allow them because the whole structure was about to collapse! David Hathaway – London 8 September 2017 not be defeated now!” I stepped up on the platform and declared in Jesus’ Name, “Two thousand years ago You calmed the storm on Galilee – now stop the storm on the Mediterranean!” And instantly that storm stopped. The people came in and the arena was filled to capacity – with Russia-speaking Jews – communists and atheists! They came because the Gospel is a Word of liberation and deliverance, salvation and forgiveness. The miracle was so great that two days later in the Knesset, Deputy Speaker Nurit Koren said, “Thank you David for what you have done for my people!” Why? It’s Jesus! And it’s because of Jesus, we are here today to make this declaration before God: ““We believe that our British heritage is based on our Judeo/Christian culture and that for more than 400 years while this nation has honoured God in Word and in Deed and led by God-fearing Kings and Queens, Almighty God has blessed and prospered this nation and has delivered us from every evil attack and danger through prayer and the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. ““We pray that Almighty God Creator of Heaven and Earth and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ will give long life and health to our Queen, will unite this Great Nation in peace and love, will strengthen and give wisdom to our Government and Prime Minister, will support us through Brexit, will restore our Christian heritage, will restore Biblical standards in public life and heal our land from all strife and division. ““Quoting 2 Chronicles 7:14, ‘If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land’ – we repent of our sins both past and present – we repent of our failure to stand on the authority of our Bible as proclaimed by King James – first King of Great Britain. We repent of our failure to declare the infallibility of God’s Word, and that Salvation is only through repentance and faith in the

death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.”” This was our public declaration before God. I have sent it to the Queen on behalf of all those gathered in prayer for the nation on 8 September 2017. It’s going to take a miracle to change Britain. But we will not let the devil take this nation. I love those patriotic songs, ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ and ‘Did those feet in ancient times walk on England’s mountains green?’ No, maybe they didn’t!!! But as a teenager, I loved to sing the verse: ‘Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand till we have built Jerusalem in England’s green and pleasant land’! I feel this is our declaration that is to go forth from today: “Nor shall our sword sleep in our hand till we have built the Kingdom of God in England’s green and pleasant land!” We have to take a stand! If we could do it in Ukraine, why can’t we do it here? The whole purpose of the Days of Prayer in Ukraine is to get the Russian troops out and stop the bloodshed. I’ve been to the frontline and preached the Gospel there with guns firing overhead! But once you start praying, you must not stop until the answer comes! Our nation is being torn apart. If we do not pray, the Government will collapse, the Prime Minister will be forced out, and the EU will try to destroy us over Brexit – as they did with Greece. In this 500th year since the Reformation we must pray for the nation to turn back to God and the Bible! If we repent and pray – as they do in Kiev – God will heal our land! The situation is critical – we cannot wait – we must pray specifically and with faith. The reason I produced my film, ‘The Rape of Europe’, 17 years ago is because God gave me a vision. It deals with the EU and with Germany – that is the spirit we are battling with in Brexit – and with false religion and the destruction it will bring at noonday. But I believe that Britain will be preserved.

Our only hope is through prayer. As in the World War II when God answered, He will again today - but we need to call every Christian, every concerned individual to pray. Pray at home, in your church, in groups in your town or city, join a national prayer group. Your prayer is effective. Pray with me: “O God, we pray for our Government, put Your Power into Parliament and defeat every attack of the devil. We pray strength into every Christian member of Parliament, that not one member of Parliament who declares the Truth of the Gospel will lose their seat in Parliament because of that. We pray for our Prime Minister, strengthen her Christian faith, fill her with the Power of the Holy Spirit, touch her. We pray over Brexit – O God, You have never been defeated, touch this nation one more time and give us victory! Let the nation see that what politicians cannot do, You can do through the prayers of Your people. We plead with You, O God, that through war, tumult, every attack, through Islamic terrorism, that You would deliver. We stand before You and declare that, until Jesus comes, the Gospel will be preached in this nation. We rebuke every false god, every false religion, atheism, unbelief, every sin. O God, humble this nation and its leaders, humble our churches and our Christian leaders, let this be a time of repentance, in Jesus’ Name!” Who will win Britain, Europe – your nation – for Christ? The battle is never won by quiet, comfort-loving men and women who drift on a tide of uncertainty – but by those who will put Jesus and the souls of men first and foremost in everything – and their own selves and families second to the call of Christ; the battle will be won by those who know the certainty of the call of Christ – who will live by faith in a God who answers prayer, works miracles and cannot fail – who are under the anointing of Fire from the Holy Spirit – who accept that the God who will revive us according to Scripture in the Last Days, will enable us, empower us – and glorify Christ by signs and wonders.

Clive Urquhart – speaking at the Day of Prayer for Britain, London 8 September 2017 culture, to seduce them with the food and wine and all the things of the Babylonian culture to stop them being who they are called to be. But God has a heart for this generation. He wants to bring them out of darkness to become the people of light that He has called them to be. God loves our young people! To set a context, in Daniel 1, we see Nebuchadnezzar invading Jerusalem, taking many young people into captivity to serve him in Babylon. His aim was to change them, change their identity, give them a different culture and language… food and wine from the king’s table… Nebuchadnezzar knew that if he could get that next generation to serve his kingdom – then his kingdom was going to continue to advance. Likewise, the devil knows, if he can capture each generation that is coming up, if he can destroy that generation, then from one generation to the next, he thinks he’s winning, that he’s taking more ground and stopping the purposes of God. The enemy wants to make sure that young people never find their destiny in God. He doesn’t care what they get into, what they get addicted to, what they give their lives to, what they get caught up in, as long as they don’t find God. He wants to define their identity – as Nebuchadnezzar wanted to redefine the identity of these young people, to give them different names, a different

In that generation of young people captured by Nebuchadnezzar there were only four, Daniel and his three friends – who resolved on the inside, “We’re not going to be taken by this culture, by this captivity, by the seduction of what is around us. There’s something stronger on the inside of us that we’re living by, we know this Living God, and in our generation, we’re going to stand for who He is!” The Bible tells us that the favour of God went before them, they had wisdom beyond their peers… Ultimately it led to the King of Babylon declaring to the nation, “We’ve got to bow the knee to the God of Daniel!!!” All because Daniel didn’t bow to the spirit of the day and went after something that was stronger on the inside, that is, to know the Living God. Let us pray for the remnant of young people today who do know God, who love Him and want to see their generation turned around – who want to see their own generation become a godly generation.

I’m a Christian activist and I hope my life is utterly submitted to Christ. Seeing the Bride of Christ today on her knees before God, I know there is a chance that Britain will yet turn back to the Lord Jesus Christ! We can pray for a thousand things but we need to pray for purity of the Church because 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, ‘If My people, who are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My Face, and turn from their wicked ways – then will I hear from Heaven’ – and He will forgive our sin! We need that forgiveness! We have been a silent Church which has not spoken. We have allowed terrible things to happen in our land, we have allowed the holiness of our heritage and of our laws to be rejected. It is our cry which will bring the healing of the land. The key is the holiness of the Church – we must not be ashamed of the Gospel, not ashamed of Christ’s holi-

So let’s come against the darkness, let’s pray for a generation to shine in our time and in this day! Let’s stand together! Let’s pray in agreement for a generation that is not going to walk away any longer – but instead see a generation coming back to God! Let’s raise our voices to God, let’s take authority over every darkness. Let us pray FOR a generation, but come AGAINST what is hindering them. Let us pray FOR a generation to come into EVERYTHING that God has for them! Let’s take authority over every perversity, over every depravity, over addictions, every spirit of lust and warped sexuality that seeks to capture this generation, let’s tear down every stronghold and every darkness that seeks to take a generation of young people away from God! Raise your voice in the mighty Name of Jesus! Father we thank You, we praise Your Name, that there is a generation that is going to rise up for You in this day and in this hour and in this time!

ness. A holy people is a happy people – and this land is unhappy because we have not honoured the Lord Jesus Christ, or our great Christian heritage. We need the cry of repentance, reformation, we need to say that Jesus is King and Lord of all – and our cry needs to reach the public arena. David Hathaway was put in prison for smuggling Bibles into Ukraine and the communist countries. I was in Ukraine earlier this year, a country where God was rejected for 70 years. I met a Prime Minister and a government who now say Jesus is Lord, who pass laws to uphold Christian marriage and to encourage people to have children, resisting samesex marriage and abortion – it’s possible!!! We can see in Ukraine that, if we cry out, we can have a government which will legislate according to the Word of God!

The moving away from God in Britain has been rapid – because we have moved away from God’s precepts for family life in our law, we have stepped over the line. Working in law for 30 years, I see we are in a cultural war in Britain. Cultural appeasement will not keep the church or the nation safe. Atheism is pressing forward aided by a Church that doesn’t seek righteousness, that doesn’t speak the Truth and fears man more than God. Ukraine is our example – if we cry out, we can have a godly Prime Minister, a godly government under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We can have a Church, that instead of appeasing secular culture will declare Christ’s Truth in the public space. God’s mandate is to produce godliness in us. His mandate to us is to steward His earth, His Creation.

This morning David Hathaway burned our hearts with his Declaration over Great Britain. He struck a chord with all of us because we are too well aware of the times in which we are living. The Times recently published an article in its Comment Section written by Lord Daniel Finkelstein, ‘Should we care that Britain lost its religion?’ Politics in Britain were shaped for centuries by religion, he writes, but that is now vanishing. In his article he writes that on 4 September, the National Centre for Social Research published data revealing the proportion of people in Britain who describe themselves as having ‘no religion’ – it has now reached 53 percent of the population! Of the remaining 47 percent, only 15 percent claim affiliation with the Church of England. Finkelstein wrote that it is hard to overstate how big a change this represents in our national and political story, saying that, whilst it must be respected, Christian faith is no longer the mainstream and cannot expect to ‘carry all before it’. And he goes on: “With advancing liberal causes that mean a lot to me – gay rights, abortion rights, assisted suicide – Britain was a Christian country, but now it’s not.” – That’s what Finkelstein says. But he’s in for a surprise: Christians will change that prognosis. God has been on the throne for over 6000 years, and He will not forget His own. It cost Him His Son – and that Blood that sanctified us, washed us, is as efficacious today as it was 2000 years ago. David Hathaway has a very good vision, that a Declaration should be sent to Her Majesty, that our ruler should lead us spiritually in this path. Let me give you an insight into a Declaration that the Queen herself made in a speech in 1994. It was the 150th anniversary of the YMCA, and turning to the General Secretary, she said, “I do hope I’m not going to upset or embarrass you today, but I’ve written this speech myself.” He replied, “Ma’am, it will be marvellous, I have no doubt!” She replied, “I’m not too sure, but I feel very strongly about it.” She started off by talking about men who had made a difference in Great Britain. She talked about men like John and Charles Wesley and the commencement of the Methodist Church, and the balance they had in preaching the Gospel with works – acts of

love, faith in action. She went onto remind those there of the founder of the Salvation Army, William Booth, and the extraordinary work the Army did in changing society in preaching faith and balancing it with good works. She then referred to George Williams, the founder of the YMCA, and what a privilege it was for her to be there for the 150th anniversary. Then she spoke these memorable words, speaking of these men, that they were the type of preachers we need today, who teach warning of the wrath and judgment to come, wrapped in love and mercy. – God save the Queen! Before God will be ready to relent in mercy, we, in Britain, need to repent. We are sleep-walking, not prayerwalking, into what is coming. Only the fear of God in society makes a nation safe. What on earth is going on?!! God’s wrath is about to fall!! God judges nations! But the sanctified will be under the Shadow of the Almighty, He will deliver them from the wrath to come, the Word of God tells us in Psalm 91. But 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 says, ‘Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.’ When did you last read the Book of Revelation with its judgements? It is unique in all Holy Scripture because, in Chapter 1:3, it promises us that for reading it, hearing it, keeping it, we will receive blessing. It is relevant, because of the times in which we live. Let me ask you a question, is God at work in our world today? In the affairs of nations, does God silently govern amidst the noise of man’s politics and conflict, of human and satanic evil? Is God fulfilling His purpose in our world today? We are caught up in the affairs of men, we cannot avoid the implications of the actions of men in a world of sin, where the things of God, His morality, His authority, teachings, truths are legislated against – as though God has somehow abdicated His Throne. As a result it has been usurped by politics, the will of man with no regard for the Will of God. Our lives are entangled in the interconnections of this global village, more than ever before. But there are consequences for the Body of Christ as there were in the days of Noah. In His Word, God has revealed a great deal about His dealings with nations and their leaders. We are warned in Jeremiah

9:23, ‘Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him who glories, glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercise lovingkindness, judgement and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, says the Lord.’ God teaches us to glory in the knowledge of Him, and in His ways in the earth – not men’s. The power of man, however great, is nothing compared with the enormity of God’s creation that is still growing in the universe – a wealth of power and authority that we would do well to reverence. God has defeated every attempt of man to emulate Him. He destroyed the Tower of Babel. He ended the Babylonian Empire. He ended the Roman Empire. And He will do exactly the same with the European Union. It is noteworthy according to the Bible that when governments sin as governments, God will deal with them in that capacity. The reason the EU is wrong is that it is built on a satanic foundation of secularism. God cares about people, not about politics, He gave His Only Son to solve the problem of the pollution of sin. Before He would let you die in your sin, He died for you. Man has tried autocracy, oligarchy, religion, democracy, social reform and education. None of them have worked. We were created – not to serve man – but the Living God who made us. Do not mistake long-suffering for God’s tolerance. Do not think that God’s forgiveness is a licence for indulgence. Neither view God’s judgement as antagonism. But God will not always strive with man, as we are reminded in Genesis 6:3. And in Galatians 6:7, ‘Do not be deceived. God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, he shall also reap.’ But we have hope over disillusionment, doubt, debt, despair – and even death. Our hope is in the risen Lord Jesus Christ. We are commanded in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 to make prayers, petitions and thanksgiving for all people; for kings and for all in authority that we may live quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness and honesty – this is good and pleases God our Saviour who wants all people to be saved and come to a knowledge of the Truth. The Scriptures present us Truths for faith – not for ‘reason’. Study Psalm 107 and pray that the Holy Spirit would illuminate and reveal the Truths that are contained in it, that would help you in these times of trouble and distress. Decades of peace and plenty in Britain, a sense of prosperity and power, has pandered politicians and people, to bring us to a place where, just a few years ago, all but two of the Bishops in the House of the Lords voted in favour of gay marriage. Their forebears would have died at the stake to defend the Truth. Our Bishops today are prepared to deny the Truth. I say it not in judgement but in love, because if you have a responsibility within the Body of Christ, if you don’t stand full-square on the Word of God – which is Spirit-breathed, it is Truth and it is Life – each and every one of us, with or without faith – we will be held accountable against God’s Word and then we’re in trouble. Most of you know this, you’re passionate about it, you have heartache for your nation, you long to see revival, but somehow you may feel helpless. But we have a weapon! In Matthew 18:1920 Jesus said, “Truly I tell you that if two of you agree on earth about ANYTHING you ask for, it will be done FOR them BY My Father in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered together IN MY NAME, there I AM in the midst of them. The verse that I want indelibly to be marked on your mind, heart, soul and spirit is verse 19. This is our secret weapon! It’s the proof of the power of united agreement, it’s our authority – when it’s in HIS NAME, verse 20. JESUS said, not Matthew, JESUS said, “IF ANY TWO BE AGREED concerning any good thing as touches earth, IT WILL COME TO PASS! It’s the Word of God. If just two of you come together – the Word of God is showing us the covenant principle here, that if two or three of us will commit to come together in agreement, once a day, twice or three times a day, in HIS NAME, to ask for a revival in this land to be born out of a spirit of repentance – restoration, renewal – by God’s relenting grace, revival WILL come to pass. If ANY two be agreed concerning this... I can see a lot of twos: husbands and wives, fathers and daughters, mothers and sons, business colleagues and friends... Lord, embolden our Queen, strengthen our Prime Minister, restore the Body of Christ from its Laodicean spirit, neither hot nor cold… For GOD’S glory and for HIS Name’s sake, enter into a covenant commitment to pray with one other to see God fulfil HIS Word. We can count on it! You say, “What, me?” Yes, YOU can make a difference, YOU can be the difference! The man David, who became a great king and a man after God’s own Heart, made a difference. But in Psalm 102:7, he described himself as a ‘sparrow alone on the housetop’ – it’s hard to imagine a more insignificant bird than a sparrow – David, who has comforted and given strength to millions through his psalms – felt as a sparrow! YOU can make a difference. Pray! It’s for your Lord, for your God, your Saviour and Redeemer, it’s for your nation, it shall come to pass. David in the Bible thought of himself as a sparrow – but Jesus lets us know that even one sparrow does not fall to the ground without God attending the funeral! No more pity parties, no more, “I’m not spiritual enough.” You will be asked on the Day of Judgment, “Why didn’t you pray, why didn’t you care enough for your nation?” – and you will be found wanting. If ANY two be agreed concerning any good thing, it will come to pass. Claim Jesus at His Word in Matthew 18:19 – and you will be blessed beyond measure.

Day of Salvation – Evangelism Kiev 17 September 2017 6000 attended the Day of Salvation celebration in Kiev, Ukraine on Sunday 17 September, with thousands dedicating their lives to Christ after hearing the Good News. Of those who responded to the call of repentance (it seemed the entire hall stood for the sinner’s prayer, no one sat down), 1000 attended a dinner the following day in order to sign up to join church home-groups! The evangelism, led by David, was the culmination of two years of National Prayer in Ukraine. The result – the Churches in Ukraine now have an influence with the government and with society, that, coming out of 70 years of communism and atheism, they never had before! It’s a miracle! The Union of Salvation Churches in Ukraine, which has 180 associated churches, was David’s key partner in this great day of evangelism. Officially and publicly they have now said that the Day of Salvation on 17 September was the most significant day during all 24 years of their existence: “What happened has changed our understanding of what real evangelism is. Real great evangelism with David Hathaway is the real salvation for Ukraine and Ukrainian churches.” Now they are challenging others to join in for an even greater event in 2018! Preparation on the streets started 2 months before the event, simultaneously with our public promo company using every form of secular and Christian media to advertise – bigboards and citylights around Kiev, banners and video adverts in Kiev Subway, and posters in private building elevators. HEALING MIRACLES… After salvation, David always prays with the sick collectively, then calls people to the platform to testify of their healing. This time, with the logistics involved, it was a little bit different and instead, in order not to miss anyone who was healed, leaders of the home groups are collecting information on all healings as they mentor the people. But there is one wonderful healing mir-

People registered to come on specially rented buses, so that the names of the people attending were known, the goal to fill the KievExpoPlaza was achieved and every new convert could be followed up. When David had finished preaching, the people streamed forward to repent under the conviction of the Holy Spirit. The counsellors ran out of Bibles and literature to distribute! The very next day one thousand of those new converts attended a celebration dinner organised by the churches – the first sure indicator of those who will go on to become regular church members! During the dinner, they were

He said he himself started praying for healing two weeks before the event, because it was his only hope. In the experience of this Union of Churches, every time they follow this pattern in the lives of new believers, 90 percent go on to be baptised. But even this is not the final plan. The plan is to grow not only believers and church members who will be baptised in water and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but to grow servants for the Church and therefore for Christ’s Kingdom – those who will go on to serve and eventually look for and reach other unbelievers and bring them to the next... Day of Salvation! This way everyone can ‘put his brick into building the Kingdom of God’!

Ukraine – showed their report on the same day on the 6 o’clock news – that’s Sunday primetime!!! All this has raised the profile in the public consciousness in Ukraine of the Ministry of David Hathaway and of the Church – now we Christians are known, recognised and accepted by the people in general. We receive feedback from many people, and everyone says, it was the most professional event ever, Christian or secular. We so proud that we can do this with the Ministry of David Hathaway for Ukraine! Just days after the event, the City Mayor where Salvation Church Union has its main building met with the Bishops and Pastors. He conveyed his gratitude to David and the Church Union that so many became Christians, because this so positively affects the whole community!

The hardest thing in your life and mine, when you are in the midst of a crisis, is to see Jesus. Because of the darkness surrounding you, you cannot see Him, God can seem very distant. But wherever, whenever there is a crisis, a tragedy, sickness, sin, fear or pain in your life, Jesus is there. He wants to walk alongside you, to talk with you and ease your troubled mind. He

wants to be your constant companion along your way, the voice which guides and directs you.

If you are sick, or crippled, in despair, alone, whoever you are, wherever you are – God will hear you, God will answer your prayer. The Bible says the very hairs on your head are numbered, that God knows your thoughts and your words before they are even uttered. Our relationship with God isn’t about religious ceremony – it is in knowing God as your loving Father.

Jesus said, “Bring the boy to Me!... If you can believe, everything is possible!” The boy’s father said, “Lord I believe, help my unbelief.”

In Mark 9:17 a man brought his son, torn from childhood by a dumb spirit, to Jesus. He said, “I brought him to Your disciples but they can’t heal him!”

At times we all have asked: “Does God care? Does God understand?” I want to encourage you, let me tell you HOW CLOSE Jesus is to you: just breathe in – Jesus is as close to you as the air that fills your lungs! One prayer and He is always there with you. Touch Him. But how can we touch Him? It is not a physical touch. You touch Him when you call His Name, when you talk to Him. Reach out to Him today. One word from Jesus can calm your storm, heal your broken heart. This is why Hebrews says we can ‘come boldly before God to find mercy and help in our times of need’.

Matthew 8:23 tells us another story about a storm on Galilee: ‘Jesus entered into a ship... and behold there arose a great storm in the sea, so much that the ship was covered with the waves, but Jesus was asleep. His disciples woke Him, saying, “Lord, save us, we’re going to die!” And He said, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea and there was a great calm. The men marvelled, and said, “What kind of Man is this?!!”’ The disciples thought they knew who Jesus was. They had already been with

You can’t have a miracle without first having a problem! If the disciples had not been in a sinking boat during a storm at sea, there would have been no miracle with Jesus calming the storm or walking on the water! If you want to see miracles, God is going to use your problem, your difficulty, your crisis in order to work the miracle. That crisis you have – that sickness, that cancer, that arthritis, that financial or family problem – God will use this to create a miracle. Every one of us can be in a storm, just like these disciples in the boat. When the disciples saw Him walking on the

In this story in Matthew, the disciples marvelled at Jesus – they hadn’t realised they had this kind of Man in the boat with them!!! They were astonished! “What kind of Man is this, He’s got so much power – He doesn’t just work healing miracles – but the wind and the waves obey Him!!!” I want to tell you today, Jesus is the Lord of Heaven and earth, and He still works miracles – every kind of miracle – He is the Son of the Living God! And He’s my Jesus! He has power!

In the darkest moment of your life, in the moment of your greatest tragedy, in the moment of your greatest suffering, when you’re hurting more than you’ve ever hurt before, Jesus is there. He’s not forgotten you – He’s walking nearer to you. Jesus said, “I will be with you always.” Every day, every hour, in the middle of every storm, in the middle of every sickness, even in a hospital bed, or lying on the road as the result of a car accident, Jesus will always come. Whatever the crisis, there’s never a moment when He’s not there.

One of our co-workers in Israel – bones in his left foot smashed beyond medical repair in a car accident – constant pain – instantly healed in answer to prayer – all pain gone!

Katie Morris Sometimes I am shocked by a Truth in Scripture, one I have known from the beginning, but it still shocks me to the core as if I had never heard or seen it before, because now it touches me in my innermost soul. Recently I decided to reread the Gospel of Mark through a specific lens. It’s the Gospel that Simon Peter passed to his son Mark to write (spiritual or natural or both is not important here, it’s the closeness). Since Peter’s faith failed when Jesus was standing trial, since he was also restored and forgiven, what was he trying to share when he told the Gospel to Mark? What was he anxious for you and me to know today? It was one night reading Mark 12 that I had my ‘Oh my God help me’ moment. Jesus is telling the parable of the vineyard God has planted. The husbandmen of the vineyard, those caring for its fruit, reject and beat every servant God sends to receive His harvest from them, even killing some. So God decides to send His Own Son – and they also took Him and killed Him and cast His body out! Jesus asks, “What therefore will the Lord of the Vineyard do? He will come and destroy the husbandmen and give the vineyard to others. Have you not read the Scripture which says, ‘The stone the builders rejected is become the head of the corner?’” That is, the Cornerstone, without which the building cannot stand. Suddenly I felt for Peter. Three times in the judgement hall, he denied knowing Jesus – the very Stone without which the Building cannot stand... Peter, one of the three closest disciples to the Lord… He had rejected the Cornerstone! ...Peter, the very first of the disciples to recognise Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the Living God... Peter whom the Lord lifted up and commended, saying, “Blessed are you, Simon, son of Jonah, flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father in Heaven. You will no longer be called Simon, but Peter (little stone), and I will build My Church on this Rock (on this Cornerstone)” – that is, on Christ the Son of the Living God Himself! ‘Who is the Rock save our God?’ Psalm 18:31. ...Peter, who immediately after, in Mark 8: 29-33, was also the very first to misunderstand when Jesus explained that He must first die, “Not so Lord!” Peter, the man with

the revelation from God in Heaven – whom Jesus rebuked in the severest of terms, “Get behind me Satan! You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men!” No longer addressed as Peter, ‘little stone’, but as Satan himself! How serious Peter’s misunderstanding was! How low he had fallen! ...Peter, who at the last supper, thought he had got over this, so that he could say, “I will go with You even to death! I will NEVER deny You!” Matthew 26:35. How low Peter was yet to fall... ...Peter, who barely dared to speak of his gracious restoration recorded in John 21:15-19, but who only told Mark this – painful in its brevity – that the Angels in the empty tomb told the women looking for Jesus, “He is not here, He is risen – tell His disciples, and Peter, that He goes before you to Galilee – you will see Him there.” Mark 16:6-7. No wonder Peter, in his later life, teaches us in his letter that “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourself therefore under God’s mighty hand and He WILL lift you up in due season... BECAUSE HE CARES FOR YOU”! 1 Peter 5:57. From his own experience of prayerlessness and failure in the Garden of Gethsemane, Peter warns us, “Be sober, be vigilant, because your enemy the devil is seeking whom he may devour…” 1 Peter 5:8. Peter was very nearly devoured that night… Sin is not OK. Peter knew it. Was his sin a big one? The sin of not understanding God’s Will, the sin of normal human thinking? He only thought Jesus was too good to die… Peter did not understand the seriousness of sin, that Jesus HAD to die, that to save you and me from eternal death would cost the Son of the Living God His life! Peter became an eyewitness of the price Christ paid for sin, it was seared on his memory: in his words ‘a witness of the sufferings of Christ – but also a partaker of the glory that is to be revealed!’ 1 Peter 5:1. Peter never forgot the words of Jesus in the

Garden of Gethsemane, “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation.” Peter neither watched nor prayed, but fell into temptation – and in the judgement hall rejected Christ. “Since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the desires of men, but for the Will of God… the end of all things is at hand; therefore be sober and watchful in your prayers!” 1 Peter 4:1-7. From his own bittersweet experience, Peter wrote, “The Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9. In an age where some theologians teach, and many believe, Scripture and Christ Incarnate are just a myth, Peter wants us to know the Truth: “We did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty (on the Mountain of Transfiguration), for He received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came to Him such a voice from the excellent glory, ‘This is My Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.’” 2 Peter 1:16-18. Not a cleverly invented myth... Fact. Jesus IS the Son of the Living God, the Stone the builders rejected… Simon, who rejected Christ in the judgement hall, nevertheless was also called Peter, ‘little stone’ – one who, as a living stone, was built into God’s Spiritual Temple – as we are too – with Christ as Chief Cornerstone. 1 Peter 2:4-10. Jesus Christ is the Rock, the Chief Stone of God’s Temple. Not made by human hands, it will destroy ALL earthly kingdoms... Daniel 2:34,44-45. Be vigilant! Peter slipped up - don't you!

There is a Jewish tradition that the Key Cornerstone for Solomon’s Temple was the very first to be cut by the master builder but, as it did not yet fit anywhere, it was left lying on the ground and stumbled over, as they assembled the stones that would make the Temple – and so gave rise to this verse in the Bible, ‘The stone the builders rejected is become the head of the corner.’
