Rax has been designed and manufactured in Birmingham in response to the glut of inferior product flooding the online market from the continent and Far East.
Rax 1 (Heavy Duty) and Rax 2 (Medium Duty) offer flexible sizes – including bespoke measurements – and are manufactured using 2mm cold rolled steel. Rax Value is an entry level product which still features quality materials and construction and a competitive 175KG per shelf level. The following pages show examples of these products
When choosing shelving most of it will look very similar, and on many occasions your purchase decision will naturally come down to price points. Rax 1 and 2 are designed for many years of stress free use and are manufactured using 2mm thick cold rolled steel. The chipboard and Melamine we use are an industrial grade 15mm profile. Compare and contrast your options before committing to a purchase. We will always happily answer your questions in person without obligation. Shown above are two units of a similar price; although the competitor's unit is actually slightly more expensive – as you can see it features a flimsy metal compared to the Rotadex CR4 steel. Rax 1 is a heavy duty shelving system utilising boltless construction. Easily assembled using just a rubber headed mallet, the Rax System is capable of holding 500KG UDL* per shelf level, and a maximum of 2500KG UDL per bay.
Rax is manufactured in Birmingham using 2mm thick CR4 cold rolled steel, and is designed to hold shelves in Chipboard, Melamine or Steel. Typically the shelf is 15mm deep although we can provide thicker grades should you need them. Supplied flat pack, and with an easy to follow instruction sheet, a standard bay of heavy duty boltless shelving will take around 20- 30 minutes to construct Should you need to disassemble it or reconfigure in the future simply disassemble and the unit will provide decades of trouble free use.

Rax 1 is also the system used to manufacture our work benches. The standard design is only the first step to creating a bespoke solution for the perfect work bench for you or your client. Each level of the Rotadex work bench will accommodate 500KG of uniformly distributed loading. Standard surface is an 15mm heavy duty chipboard although steel and Melamine can be supplied as an option. The upper level is counter sunk to be flush with the top of the uprights. Options include but are not limited to: - Louver panels for spigots, tools or bins – bins and spigots can be provided from our range - Full or part shelf for the lower level - Additional items include under bench cupboards, packing table accessories and so on - Sizes and designs to your specification
