EXCURSIONS Ventnor, Brighstone & the Needles Park - Full Day - first to the delightful seaside resort of Ventnor, with its quaint harbour, cute beach huts and traditional arcades. We then head along the coast to the pretty village of Brighstone, with a chance to visit the Isle of Wight Pearl to treat yourself to a homemade cream tea or simply to learn all about pearls. Finally we visit the Needles Park visitor centre. Godshill - Half Day - discover this picture postcard village, with its thatched cottages, quaint tea rooms and model village! Sandown & Whippingham - Half Day - to these two delightful gems with sprawling clear waters, beautiful golden sands and friendly atmosphere. Newport, Cowes & Rosemary Vineyard - Full Day - exploring the highlights of the island from the Isle of Wight’s principal town to a guided tour of the vineyards.
MEDEHAMSTEDE HOTEL, SHANKLIN This 52 bedroomed Medehamstede Hotel offers a home-from-home on the Shanklin coast situated on the cliff top with attractive gardens and with views of the sea. Totnes & Brixham - Full Day - first to the charming little market town of Totnes, wander the River Dart trail, visit Totnes Castle or browse the Elizabethan market (in season). After time to explore we move on to Brixham, an ancient land of smugglers and pirates with a busy jostling harbour. Buckfast Abbey & Plymouth - Full Day - to the stunningly beautiful ancient Buckfast Abbey, home of the Benedictine Monks for hundreds and hundreds of years, retreat of past royalty and set in some of the most stunning countryside in England. Explore the 12th century Cistercian architecture and visit the gardens and shop. Afterwards we’ll move on to Plymouth, brimming with things to do.
