4. Editing process. Once you receive your proofs, you'll have the opportunity to review and initiate any changes to the design and/or content. There are no hidden fees in the editing process. If time allows, we'll create as many proofs as necessary for you to be completely happy with your finally product (though, we do recommend bulking as many of your editing requests into one as possible for efficiency). If requested, hard copy proofs will be printed and mailed to you after final approval of your electronic proofs. The key here is to get the electronic proofs to the most final state possible so you are seeing almost exactly what the final invitation will look like in your hard copy proofs. Hard copy proofs will add aproximately 1-2 weeks to turnaround time, so please plan accordingly when placing your order!
5. Final approval process & balance due. Once the editing process is complete (and hard copy review has been approved, if applicable) and you have given us the final approval on your wedding invitations, the remaining balance will be due for your order. Final printing and assembling stages of your invitations will take 3-4 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of your final order. For additional questions about the custom process, please contact Amanda at dawncorrespondence@gmail.com.

Timing Is Everything When he's popped the question and you're ready to begin the process of planning one of the most special days of your life, timing really is everything in order to avoid stress and last-minute fees your budget certainly doesn't need.
the most perfect design for your wedding stationery without being rushed to make a decision at the last minute.
I get asked a lot when the best time to order wedding stationery is. The truly best time? As soon as you've finalized the details of the venue and time! It's never too early to place your order if you have these two most important aspects of your day planned. This will help to avoid rush fees and added stress, and makes the design process much more enjoyable for both you and the designer! Even if you don't have all your details nailed down yet, it's best to put a deposit
If you're planning a wedding with a quick turnaround time, you can, of course, still request custom wedding invitations. Just be aware that custom invitations are likely to cost you additional rush fees and expedited shipping fees, if you are ordering invitations that aren't produced locally. Your designer is likely working with several clients at any given time (even though they are providing you with top-notch, one-on-one customer service!) and needing your order within just a couple of weeks means they have to put their other customers on hold for
down as soon as you have an idea of what you want. Without all the details, your designer can still begin your custom order for you with place holder text until your details have been finalized. This still allows you plenty of time to work on proofs with your designer, request a hard copy to review in person, and finalize
a couple of days in order to perfectly complete your order on time. So, while rush fees may seem high and unnecessary to you, they are a small price to pay for exceptional service from a designer who will quickly expedite your order and ensure your guests have plenty of advanced notice about your special day.

So, what is the ideal timeframe to place my order? Ideally, it is best to place your order for wedding invitations 12-16 weeks in advance. This means 12-16 weeks before you'd like to mail your invitations to your guests, not 12-16 weeks before your actual wedding date. While this may seem early to you, your designer is diligently working with you this entire time. For custom design requests, there may be several conversations between you and your designer regarding style, color, themes, and ideas. Once your designer creates an idea for you, you may find it doesn't look exactly as you had thought it would and tweaks will likely need to be made. You will want to check, recheck, and check again every single word on your invitation. Is your mother's name spelled correctly? Is the year correct? Is there a comma in an unnecessary place? Your designer will certainly try their best to correct any errors found, but they are also concerned about the overall look and feel of the invitations, not necessarily the grammatics. The process of creating electronic proofs can take up to several weeks, depending on the style, how many edits you have, and information that may change. Additionally, hard copy proofs add 1-2 weeks to the turnaround time. So, as you can see, the earlier you are able to order, the better - for both your stress level and your budget! If you have any questions at all about the timing of your order, please do not hesitate to contact me at dawncorrespondence@gmail.com!
