Carytown for the Holidays


Carytown Merchant’s Association kicked off the season with holiday festivities and random acts of kindness on Saturday, Nov. 30. Shoppers were treated to gifts, entertainment and fun activites for the whole family! Santa and Richmond’s famous Snow Queen, Donna Deacons arrived escorted by the US Marines and members of the Greater Richmond Pipes & Drums.




With an eclectic collection of award-winning, locally-owned businesses, Carytown has something special for the whole family!

Marines give gifts to children on the streets of Carytown in the spirit of the holidays!


Join us for free horse-drawn carriage rides on Saturday, Dec. 14 and 21 from noon to 5 p.m.



Santa will be available for photos at W. Hirsch Oriental Rugs on Saturday, Dec. 7, 14, 21 from noon to 2:30 p.m.


Photographer Steve Parish works his magic with children eager to see Santa. Steve is very comfortable working with children and has twins at home, He puts the children at ease and then gets the perfect shot!








In the spirit of Small Business Saturday, Roan teamed up with Willie Byrd Chocolate Sauce to offer delectable samples of their gourmet sauces to happy shoppers.




Can Can Brasserie Peppermint Hot Chocolate Hot chocolate, whole milk topped with homemade mint whipped cream, cocoa powder & chocolate shavings!
