• TWISTER (Tennessee Women in Science, Tech, Engineering & Research) is a daylong event presented by Adventure Science Center aimed to inform, motivate and empower middle and high school girls in grades 7th – 12th to pursue careers in STEAM. • The Nashville Predators are hosting a Club Championship as part of the EA SPORTS NHL 23 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. This is a virtual tournament with a live final on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Ford Ice Bellevue. Both the virtual and live final portions of the tournament will be played on PlayStation 5. Only players registered on a PlayStation 5 are eligible to compete. • The NASHVILLE SOUNDS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION, which began in 2016, has awarded $70,000 in scholarships and is designed to assist deserving Nashville and Middle Tennessee students in paying for college tuition during their freshman year. The process includes submitting a 500-or-less word essay on mental health and bodily nutrition in the workplace. The deadline to be considered for the 2023 scholarships is Friday, February 17. • NASHVILLE CHILDREN’S THEATRE Summer Camps go on sale on Wednesday, Feb. 8, but there are also Spring Break Camps (March 13 - 17) and Online Classes to know about. • The NASHVILLE SC’S 2023 SEASON starts with preseason games that lead to the beginning of the fourth season in Major League Soccer. • SUGAR DROP CAFE & DESSERT BOUTIQUE, located at 574 Franklin Road in Franklin is o ering lots of di erent classes leading up to and including Valentine’s Day. Classes include a “Buttercream Cookie Class,” (ages 7 and older); “Love Sheet Cake Class,” (ages 7 and older); “Royally Fun Cookie Class,” (great for a mom-and-me session) and a “Studio DIY Cake Event.” All supplies are included for the classes that last 90 minutes and range in price from $50 - $60. • THE NASHVILLE LAWN AND GARDEN SHOW is at the Nashville Fairgrounds Expo Center March 2 - 5 and includes lots of children’s activities. While parents seek out lectures, workshops and designs related to gardening, kids can experience a live butterfly house, mosaic animals sculptures and a scavenger hunt.
