Script: Hi, my name is Edward Brown. Six months ago, I launched GreenHelp, an application for people who like to volunteer. I first came up with the idea for this app when I was organisinga green event at my school. It was difficult to get the words out and bring in more people. Along with my friends, Jenna and Pablo, I decided to design an application to facilitate volunteering activities. Although GreenHelp was first created by the threeof us, our team now consists of fifteen people. GreenHelp is like a social network for volunteers. Leah: You know, my aunt is a scientist and she’s leading a team of biologists studying wildlife in Antarctica.

Andy: A female lead scientist!? That’s quite uncommon.

Leah: That’s true. This is indeed a very male-dominated field. She started when she was twenty-five and got promoted after working for twenty years. If it was ten years ago, she would not be a lead scientist.

Andy: Gender equality has come a long way.
