TENSES AND LIKING VERBS +V-ing A. The aims: By the end of the lesson ss are able to use the present simple tense and the present progressive tense and do some exercises B. Procedure I. Các thì cơ bản trong tiếng Anh 1. Thì hiện tại đơn giản. a. Động từ “ TOBE” * Nghĩa tiếng Việt: Thì, là, ở * Có 3 dạng :am, is , are. * Cách chia động từ : Chủ ngữ là I động từ Tobe chia là am , viết là I am = I’m. He, She, It, Danh từ số ít Tobe chia là is . You, We, They, danh từ số nhiều Tobe chia là are. * Cấu trúc: Thể khẳng định: S + am / is / are + ….. Thể phủ định : S + am not / isn’t / aren’t + … Lưu ý : I am not = I’m not. Thể nghi vấn : Are / Is + S + …..? Lưu ý : thông thường đổi từ thế khẳng định sang thể nghi vấn chủ ngữ là “I / We” thì đổi thành “You” . Đối với những học sinh yếu cân có bài tập thay thế các danh chung, danh từ riêng với các đại từ nhân xưng và ngược lại. Ví dụ: Mai = she Nam = He Nam and Mai = They b. Động từ thường. Thể khẳng định : I, We, You, They, danh từ số nhiều + V He, She, It, danh từ số ít + V-s / es . Thể phủ định : I / We / You /They /danh từ số nhiều + don’t + V …. He / She / It / danh từ số ít + doesn’t + V …. Thể nghi vấn : Do + you / they / danh từ số nhiều + V …? Yes, I/ we/ they do . ; No, I / we / they don’t. Does + he/ she / it / danh từ số ít + V …? Yes, he / she / it + does . / No, he / she / it + doesn’t. Cách dùng: a. Diễn tả một thói quen ở hiện tại. VD: I come to class on time. She has lunch at home. b. Diễn tả một sự thật bất biến, một chân lí luôn luôn đúng. VD: The Sun rises in the morning and sets in the evening. Thể khẳng định: S + am / is / are + V- ing …. Lưu ý: động từ Tobe được chia theo chủ ngữ Thể phủ định: S + am not / isn’t / aren’t + V-ing …. Thể nghi vấn: Is / Are + S + V-ing …. Yes, S + am / is / are. ; No, S + am not / isn’t / aren’t. * Cách dùng: a. Diễn tả hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói. VD: I’m learning English now. Lan and Nam are watching TV at the moment. My mother is cooking dinner. b. Diễn tả hành động sẽ xảy ra trong tương gần, đã có kế hoạch từ trước. VD: My grand mother is coming to see my family next week. c. Nói về sự đang thay đổi. VD: The population of the world is rising very fast. Các trạng từ: now, at the moment, at present, at this time. Look, listen, be careful…. Chỉ một hành động bất thường Where is Ba? He is having a bath Những động từ liệt kê trong bảng ở dưới đây không được dùng ở thì hiện tại tiếp diễn mặc dù có thể trong một số trường hợp, vì thế ta dùng hiện tại đơn để thay thế.

(Thì hiện tại hoàn thành) * Cấu trúc: Thể khẳng định: I / You / We / They / danh từ số nhiều + have + P.P ….. He / She / It / danh từ số ít + has + P.P …. Lưu ý: P.P là quá khứ phân từ. Có quy tắc thêm “ed”, bất quy tắc tra cột 3 bảng động từ bất quy tắc. Thể phủ định: I / You / We / They / danh từ số nhiều + haven’t + P.P … He / She / It / danh từ số ít + hasn’t + P.P …. Thể nghi vấn: Have + you / they / danh từ số nhiều + P.P …. ? Yes, I / we / they have. ; No, I / we / they + haven’t. Has + he / she / it / danh từ số ít + P.P …? Yes, he / she / it + has. ; No, he / she / it + hasn’t. Lưu ý : thông thường đổi từ thế khẳng định sang thể nghi vấn chủ ngữ là “I / We” thì đổi thành “You” . * Cách dùng: a. Diễn tả hành động bắt đầu trong quá khứ, kéo dài đến hiện tại thường dùng với since, for. VD: They have lived here for ten years. Lan has learned English since she was six years old. Lưu ý : For + khoảng thời gian / Since + điểm thời gian. Diễn tả hành động, sự việc xảy ra trong quá khứ không xác định được thời gian co thể dùng với already, just, ever, yet. Lưu ý: Yet chỉ dùng ở thể phủ định và nghi vấn; never dùng trong thể khẳng định mang nghĩa phủ định. VD: I have seen that film. Lam has been in China. c. Diễn tả hành động lặp đi lặp lại nhiều lần trong quá khứ. VD: We have seen this play many times. *.Chú ý:Trong câu thường có các trạng từ: already, not…yet, so far, up to now, lately, recently, since, for, never, this/ it is the first / second time….., several times / 3 times… II. The past simple Với động từ "Tobe" Động từ “to be” ở thì quá khứ đơn có hai dạng là “was” và “were”. CHÚ Ý: S = I/ He/ She/ It (số ít) + was S = We/ You/ They (số nhiều) + were Ví dụ: - I was at my friend’s house yesterday morning. (Tôi đã ở nhà bạn tôi sang hôm qua.) - They were in London on their summer holiday last year. (Họ ở Luân Đôn vào kỳ nghỉ hè năm ngoái.) Phủ định: S + was/were + not Đối với câu phủ định ta chỉ cần thêm “not” vào sau động từ “to be”. CHÚ Ý: - was not = wasn’t - were not = weren’t Ví dụ: - She wasn’t very happy last night because of having lost money. (Tối qua cô ấy không vui vì mất tiền) -We weren’t at home yesterday. (Hôm qua chúng tôi không ở nhà.) Câu hỏi: Were/ Was + S ? Trả lời: Yes, I/ he/ she/ it + was. – No, I/ he/ she/ it + wasn’t Yes, we/ you/ they + were. – No, we/ you/ they + weren’t. Câu hỏi ta chỉ cần đảo động từ “to be” lên trước chủ ngữ. Ví dụ: - Was she tired of hearing her customer’s complaint yesterday? (Cô ấy có bị mệt vì nghe khách hàng phàn nàn ngày hôm qua không?) Yes, she was./ No, she wasn’t. (Có, cô ấy có./ Không, cô ấy không.) - Were they at work yesterday? (Hôm qua họ có làm việc không?) Yes, they were./ No, they weren’t. (Có, họ có./ Không, họ không.) Với động từ thường Khẳng định: + V-ed Ví dụ: - We studied English last night. (Tối qua chúng tôi đã học tiếng Anh.) - He met his old friend near his house yesterday. (Anh ấy đã gặp người bạn cũ của mình ngay gần nhà ngày hôm qua.) Phủ định:S + did not + V (nguyên thể) Trong thì quá khứ đơn câu phủ định ta mượn trợ động từ “did + not” (viết tắt là “didn’t), động từ theo sau ở dạng nguyên thể.) Ví dụ: - He didn’t come to school last week. (Tuần trước cậu ta không đến trường.) - We didn’t see him at the cinema last night. (Chúng tôi không trông thấy anh ta tại rạp chiếu phim tối hôm qua.) Câu hỏi:Did + S + V(nguyên thể)? Trong thì quá khứ đơn với câu hỏi ta mượn trợ động từ “did” đảo lên trước chủ ngữ, động từ theo sau ở dạng nguyên thể. Ví dụ: - Did you visit Ho Chi Minh Museum with your class last weekend? (Bạn có đi thăm bảo tàng Hồ Chí Minh với lớp của bạn cuối tuần trước hay không?) Yes, I did./ No, I didn’t. (Có, mình có./ Không, mình không.) - Did he miss the train yesterday? (Cậu ta có lỡ chuyến tàu ngày hôm qua hay không?) Yes, he did./ No, he didn’t. (Có, cậu ta có./ Không, cậu ta không.) Cách sử dụng thì quá khứ đơn trong tiếng anh Dùng để diễn tả một hành động đã xảy ra và kết thúc trong quá khứ. Ví dụ: - They went to the concert last night. (Họ đã tới rạp hát tối hôm qua.) Ta thấy “tối hôm qua” là một mốc thời gian trong quá khứ. Hành động “tới nhà hát” đã xảy ra tối hôm qua và kết thúc rồi nên ta sử dụng thì quá khứ đơn. - The plane took off two hours ago. (Máy bay đã cất cánh cách đây 2 giờ.) Ta thấy “cách đây 2 giờ” là thời gian trong quá khứ và việc “máy bay cất cánh” đã xảy ra nên ta sử dụng thì quá khứ đơn. Dấu hiệu nhận biết thì QKĐ Trong câu có các trạng từ chỉ thời gian trong quá khứ: - yesterday (hôm qua) - last night/ last week/ last month/ last year: tối qua/ tuần trước/ tháng trước/ năm ngoái - ago: Cách đây. 1. Future tense I- CẤU TRÚC CỦA THÌ TƯƠNG LAI ĐƠN 1. Khẳng định:S + will + V(nguyên thể) 2. Phủ định:S + will not + V(nguyên thể) Câu phủ định trong thì tương lai đơn ta chỉ cần thêm “not” vào ngay sau “will”. CHÚ Ý:- will not = won’t Ví dụ: - I won’t tell her the truth. (Tôi sẽ không nói với cô ấy sự thật.) - They won’t stay at the hotel. (Họ sẽ không ở khách sạn.) 3. Câu hỏi:Will + S + V(nguyên thể) Trả lời: Yes, S + will./ No, S + won’t. Câu hỏi trong thì tương lai đơn ta chỉ cần đảo “will” lên trước chủ ngữ. Ví dụ: - Will you come here tomorrow? (Bạn sẽ đến đây vào ngày mai chứ?) Yes, I will./ No, I won’t. - Will they accept your suggestion? (Họ sẽ đồng ý với đề nghị của bạn chứ?) Yes, they will./ No, they won’t. II- CÁCH SỬ DỤNG CỦA THÌ TƯƠNG LAI ĐƠN 1. Diễn tả một quyết định, một ý định nhất thời nảy ra ngay tại thời điểm nói. Ví dụ: - Are you going to the supermarket now? I will go with you. (Bây giờ bạn đang tới siêu thị à? Tớ sẽ đi với bạn.) Ta thấy quyết định đi siêu thị được nảy ra ngay tại thời điểm nói khi thấy một người khác cũng đi siêu thị. - I will come back home to take my document which I have forgotten. (Tôi sẽ về nhà để lấy tài liệu mà tôi để quên.) Ta thấy đây cũng là một quyết định tức thời ngay tại thời điểm nói. 2. Diễn tả một dự đoán không có căn cứ. Ví dụ: - I think she will come to the party. (Tôi nghĩ rằng cô ấy sẽ tới bữa tiệc.) Ta thấy đây là một dự đoán chủ quan không có căn cứ nên ta sử dụng thì tương lai đơn để diễn đạt. - She supposes that she will get a better job. (Cô ấy tin rằng cô ấy sẽ kiếm được một công việc tốt.) 3. Diễn tả một lời hứa hay lời yêu cầu, đề nghị. Ví dụ: - I promise that I will tell you the truth. (Tôi hứa là tôi sẽ nói với bạn sự thật.) Đây là một lời hứa nên ta sử dụng thì tương lai đơn để diễn đạt. - Will you please bring me a cup of coffee? (Bạn làm ơn mang cho tôi một cốc cà phê được không?) 4. Sử dụng trong câu điều kiện loại một, diễn tả một giả định có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại và tương lai. Ví dụ: - If she comes, I will go with her. (Nếu cô ấy đến, tôi sẽ đi với cô ấy.) Ta thấy việc “cô ấy đến” hoàn toàn có thể xảy ra nên ta sử dụng câu điều kiện loại I để diễn đạt và mệnh đề chính ta sử dụng thì tương lai đơn. - If it stops raining soon, we will go to the cinema. (Nếu trời tạnh mưa sớm thì chúng tôi sẽ đi tới rạp chiếu phim.) Ta thấy việc “tạnh mưa sớm” hoàn toàn có thể xảy ra nên ta sử dụng câu điều kiện loại I để diễn đạt và mệnh đề chính ta sử dụng thì tương lai đơn. III- DẤU HIỆU NHẬN BIẾT THÌ TƯƠNG LAI ĐƠN Trong câu có các trạng từ chỉ thời gian trong tương lai: - in + thời gian: trong … nữa (in 2 minutes: trong 2 phút nữa) - tomorrow: ngày mai - Next day: ngày hôm tới - Next week/ next month/ next year: Tuần tới/ tháng tới/ năm tới Trong câu có những động từ chỉ quan điểm như: - think/ believe/ suppose/ …: nghĩ/ tin/ cho là - perhaps: có lẽ - probably: có lẽ
2. Conditional type 1 Câu điều kiện loại I Khái niệm về câu điều kiện loại 1 Câu điều kiện loại I còn được gọi là câu điều kiện có thực ở hiện tại. Điều kiện có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai. Cấu trúc - Công thức câu điều kiện loại 1 If + S + V (hiện tại), S + will + V (nguyên mẫu) IF + Chủ ngữ 1 + Động từ chia ở thì hiện tại đơn + Bổ ngữ, Chủ ngữ 2 + WILL + Động từ nguyên mẫu + Bổ ngữ (nếu có). Nói cách khác, ở câu điều kiện loại 1, mệnh đề IF dùng thì hiện tại đơn, mệnh đề chính dùng thì tương lai đơn. Chủ ngữ 1 và chủ ngữ 2 có thể trùng nhau. Bổ ngữ có thể không có, tùy ý nghĩa của câu. Mệnh đề IF và mệnh đề chính có thể đứng trước hay sau đều được. Trong câu điều kiện loại I, động từ của mệnh đề điều kiện chia ở thì hiện tại đơn, còn động từ trong mệnh đề chính chia ở thì tương lai đơn. Ví dụ: If you come into my garden, my dog will bite you. (Nếu anh vào vườn của tôi, con chó của tôi sẽ cắn anh đó.) If it is sunny, I will go fishing. (Nếu trời nắng tốt, tôi sẽ đi câu cá.) Cách dùng câu điều kiện loại 1: Câu điều kiện loại 1 còn có thể được gọi là câu điều kiện hiện tại có thể có thật. Cách dùng Be used to: Đã quen với Be used to + cụm danh từ hoặc verb-ing (trong cấu trúc này, used là 1 tính từ và to là 1 giới từ). You are used to do something, nghĩa là bạn đã từng làm việc gì đó rất nhiều lần hoặc đã có kinh nghiệm với việc đó rồi, vì vậy nó không còn lạ lẫm, mới lạ hay khó khăn gì với bạn nữa.
