The holidays are a wonderful time for celebration. However, when the temperature drops we must be prepared. Sometimes it can be hard to adjust your style to meet the demands of the weather and still keep your own personal look. Don't worry, with a good eye for style and knowing what to look for in terms of weather protection, you can create a style that is completely yours and keeps you nice and toasty.
The best accessory that will not only make you stand out, but also keep you really warm is the scarf. The best materials to look out for are cotton, cashmere, and especially alpaca, which is like sheep's wool, but much warmer. They will keep your neck warm and come in many styles and colors. Don’t forget to work your look from the ground up this season— pair the perfect pair of shoes for a bold and signature look this season. A good way to beat the cold and look stylish are a pair of nice, warm tights. It's a shame you can't show off your natural legs during the winter, but the next best thing is flaunting the nice shape of your legs covered in a nice pattern or in a bright color. There's no reason you can't show off your good figure during the wintertime. A pair of nice, black tights goes well with a pair of white snow boots. Add gold accessories to this look to really achieve that winter runway look.
No winter outfit is complete without a nice winter jacket. There are many different styles and colors to choose from. It is hard to say what kind of jacket is the perfect winter jacket, so it really does depend on your personal tastes. Lay out a few outfits at home and look at them and see if you can find a style and color that will go well with each of them. This way, you can find one jacket that pairs well with several outfits. When you have a few options, look over each jacket and see what materials they are made from, how well they are stitched and try them on to see how warm they make you feel. Some winter jackets may look nice, but you really want something that is going to keep you warm and last through the season.
Thanks Anya Sarre for proving that Dressing for winter doesn’t have to be a wonderland. Haute Holidays fashionista’s!
