FORD EDGE

Visionary. Ingenious. Remarkable. Every car bears his signature.

For your real life.

The new Ford Edge is ready for your next adventure. Negotiate city streets or pack it up for the weekend. No matter where you go, Intelligent All-Wheel Drive provides an extra measure of conďŹ dence on every trip.

Ford Adaptive Steering

Less turn. More control.

This new generation of steering technology makes the Edge easy to manoeuvre at low speeds and in tight spaces. At higher speeds, it makes the vehicle more agile, precise and fun to drive.

Active Noise Control

More space. Less noise.

The smart, spacious interior can also be an oasis of calm. The Active Noise Control system and acoustic glass hush exterior noises and create a tranquil driving environment.

FORD Remarkable Technologies

Hands-free tailgate Opening or closing Edge’s tailgate is easy, even when your hands are full. With the keys in your pocket or bag, simply use a gentle kicking motion under the centre of the rear bumper and the hands-free tailgate will operate without you having to touch a thing.

Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system

SYNC 2 with Voice Control and Touchscreen Simple voice commands let you select music, control navigation (where fitted), interior temperature, make and receive hands-free calls and choose contacts from your phone list. This cutting-edge technology will even read out your incoming text messages.

Ford Edge’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system continually monitors your driving environment, optimising traction whatever the surface, to direct power to the wheels that can use it best. A special display on the cluster panel shows the split to keep you informed about conditions beneath front and rear wheels.

Collision Avoidance System If the system detects a slow-moving or stationary object ahead, it first displays a warning and then sounds a chime. If you don’t steer or brake, the Collision Avoidance technology applies the brakes to reduce the severity of and, in some cases, eliminate frontal collisions.

Ford Edge owes its beautiful and durable exterior to a special multi-stage painting process. From the wax-injected steel body sections to the waterbased top coat, new materials and application processes ensure it’s not only virtually solvent-free, but will retain its good looks for many years to come.

The fuel economy figures quoted in the table below are achieved by following strict EU governed test procedures and are specifically designed to enable customers to compare vehicles from all manufacturers on a like-for-like basis. Fuel consumption is directly affected by the length of the journey; number of passengers and the amount of luggage carried; individual driving style; road and traffic conditions; weather conditions; vehicle age, mileage, condition and standard of maintenance; use of vehicle features such as air conditioning; and any modifications to the vehicle such as the addition of a roof rack. Your fuel economy will vary based on these and other factors and, for these reasons, many drivers may not achieve the EU fuel economy figures (below) in day-to-day driving, although the vehicle is technically capable of doing so.

1 With 19" Alloy wheels. 2 With 20" Alloy wheels. *In 4th gear. ØFord test figures. ØØThe declared Fuel/Energy Consumptions, CO2 emissions and electric range are measured according to the technical requirements and specifications of the European Regulations (EC) 715/2007 and (EC) 692/2008 as last amended. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are specified for a vehicle variant and not for a single car. The applied standard test procedure enables comparison between different vehicle types and different manufacturers. In addition to the fuel efficiency of a car, driving behaviour as well as other non-technical factors play a role in determining a car's fuel/energy consumption, CO2 emissions and electric range.
