Hands-free tailgate Opening or closing Kuga’s tailgate is easy, even when your hands are full. With the keys in your pocket or bag, simply use a gentle kicking motion under the centre of the rear bumper and the hands-free tailgate will operate without you having to touch a thing (option).

Blind Spot Information System Ø† with Cross Trafﬁc Alert

Electric Parking Brake (EPB)

Designed to alert you when another vehicle (a car, van or lorry) enters your blind spot – with a discreet warning light built into both door mirrors. Cross Trafﬁc Alert scans left and right as you reverse from a perpendicular or angled parking space, providing visual and audible alert warnings when an approaching vehicle is detected. (option)

For ease of operation, a simple switch located neatly on the centre console activates the Electric Parking Brake (EPB), allowing you space for extra storage between front seats. The EPB will automatically release as you pull away (Standard on Titanium and ST-Line, not available on Zetec).

Easily activated at a push of a button, Ford Kuga’s heated steering wheel provides an additional layer of comfort between you and the cold outside (optional only on Titanium and ST-Line).

Electrically released tow bar is there when you need it, but can be tucked away out of sight for uncompromised styling and easier access to load space. A detachable tow bar is also available, as well as a ﬁxed tow bar (accessory). While towing, the standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC)is designed to counteract trailer sway (optional).

Automatic transmission paddle select-shift Sports style paddle shift levers mounted on the steering wheel allow for faster up and down shifts while driving in manual select-shift mode (standard on all automatic transmissions).
