Hosted by North Central Texas College, the NCT SBDC serves the communities with support of small business in Denton, Montague and Cooke Counties. Comprised of a team of three Sr. Business Advisors, Director and Administrative Specialist, the Center continues to establish and nurture relationships with program stakeholders, partners and lenders to help small businesses Start, Grow and Succeed!
The NCTSBDC completed fiscal and calendar year, 2022 with highest goal achievement to date, surpassing goals by 200% and greater!
The SBDC provides assistance to entrepreneurs with start-up advising, expansion and growth, access to capital, loan packaging, marketing and online presence and e-commerce. In addition to core services, SBDC advisors aids small businesses to potentially expand into an International market with export advising and resources. Advising and business tools are available and shared to support Manufacturing, Rural and Minority Businesses.

Noah Jace Productions, dba We Like to Softplay
“We Like to Soft Play” is a mobile luxury, soft play party rental company serving the North Texas area. This business provides soft play equipment and fun experiences for birthday parties, holiday parties play dates and community events targeting under 5-year-old participants. Ciera, the founder of the business, was seeking a way to celebrate the birthday of her son and identified a demand for this niche market. Ciera gave credit to the North Central Texas SBDC and her business advisor stating” My advisor was very helpful and showed as much excitement about the business as me. She partnered with me to build my business plan to successfully start and fund my business idea.”

CAYETANA, LLC
Cayetana began introducing unique, custom-made hats to the US from Mexico where their unique design was birthed. The artisan learned the art of hat making from their father, who is famous for making hats from wood, palm and rice paper. These hats became very popular with Latin performers and now in demand at high-end boutiques in the North Texas region through wholesale accounts from Cayetana, LLC. Judith, the owner, gave rave reviews of her SBDC business advisor, stating “Support from my SBDC advisor helped me start my business, which has been a dream of mine. Now my hats are showing up all over Texas!”
The SBDC provided Judith business start-up assistance, legal structure information, required filings and solving supply chain problems. Additionally, marketing options were identified to showcase the unique products with emphasis of the custom “one-of-a-kind” nature of the fashionable accessory.
