When it comes to counseling, inspiring and helping individuals through interpersonal self-discovery that moves people towards personal growth, Leroy Scott, is definitely among America’s best. His passion and love for people coupled with his intrinsic desire to be a part of people’s pain is just one of the reasons for his success and popularity. Leroy engages people in conversations and questions that lead to deep thought and guided transformation. Because of his extensive background and study in both theology and psychology, he is able to help bring purpose, passion, motivation and meaning to the lives of people he works with. Leroy’s career began as a United States Navy psychiatric technician during Desert Storm, where he served for 4½ years, working with with a divers population of military personnel who presented with issues ranging from suicide to adjusting to their families after war. He later worked with several private and government organizations such as Department of Children & Families and the Department of Corrections. In 1998 Leroy spearheaded what would become a hallmark for his career. He partnered with the “We came to you when our Winter Park Health Foundation and three local church ministries to open problems had gotten bigger than a Christian Counseling Center in Eatonville, Florida, which is America’s we could handle. You saved our oldest African-American owned municipality. In 2000 he organized and marriage and entire family.” lead a large number of the Central Florida Community to its first Christian -- Patrick & Denise B. Counseling Conference, which allowed for the expression of his love for the church and hurting people. Leroy has served in many capacities, both in professional counseling and in church administration. He continued to practice in the Orlando, Florida area until Hurricane Katrina devastated the southern coastal regions of the country, including his home state, Louisiana. He relocated to Louisiana after the storm to provide mental health services to victims of the storm and continued to develop products that help people live a better life. He has appeared on several radio and television shows and has been called upon to provide crisis counseling and human resource development coaching to many corporate, government and private institutions. He has worked with thousands of individuals and families over the past 15 years and has been able to identify things that have worked in making those individuals lives better. He is well educated, holding Master’s Degrees in Counseling/ Psychology and Theology. He also holds licenses to practice in two states and provides international coaching and leadership training & development across the country. “Thank you for saving my marriage. We would have never made it without you.” --Danny & Sandy J.

In 2011 he released “Unbreaking the Heart”; a dynamic book that helps people forgive anybody for anything in 5 simple steps. Inspired by the large number of disappointments he had experienced in his own life and the dark and difficult experiences of many of the people he had worked with, this book is a must read. He has other books and products out, such as, “Creating Possibilities in Marriage” and “Redemptive Sonship.”

Leroy continues to pursue his dreams. One is to gain global influence in sharing the things he has learned with others and developing products that help people live better. The other is to mobilize people by helping them heal from the pains of their past and bring passion and purpose to their life. Leroy spends the majority of his time writing, speaking, and counseling… and oh, beating his son in basketball. Leroy currently lives in Louisiana with his children and wife, Angela.

UNBREAKING THE

t r a e H

Forgive Anybody For Anything In 5 Simple Steps “I just couldn’t have people live their entire life thinking they had done something that they never really did. So I had to show them what forgiveness was and how to be sure they weren’t just saying they forgive but they actually knew how to do it… …Even the church is paying attention to this. --Leroy Scott, MS, MDiv Unbreaking The Heart is a book about forgiveness. It not only defines forgiveness, but it teaches its readers how to forgive. Filled with real life stories of hurt and betrayal, it leaves its readers identifying with its characters and reflecting on their own lives. The book teaches you how to get over the past and begin looking forward to your future. You don’t have to just pretend you’ve gotten over the situation; you can get over it for real. This book helps you to be real about your situation and then shows you how to be healed from your situation. It’s like being in counseling without being in counseling. You don’t have to remain angry about the things that people have done to hurt you. This book helps you resolve anger and restore hope to your life. If you have ever been emotionally hurt in your life, you need to read this book. “I have never been so impacted by a book. I was able to go through each step of the book and forgive the people that abused me as a child. Thank you and keep doing what you do.” -- Jennifer C.
