A Token of Appreciation to Mr Ajay (Alumnus, DB Tech) for Being Honest

A Round of Applause for Warriors of DB Tech (Ganderbal) Another ‘wow’ moment for DB Tech, since DB Tech (Ganderbal, J&K) has recorded 100% Placement. All the trainees enrolled in the skill training have been successfully placed in appropriate and suitable jobs. The main income of Ganderbal district comes from agriculture. However, the district is on the path of the industrialization. Despite topographical limitations industrial sector has been declared as the major vehicle for accelerating economic activity. DB Tech (Ganderbal) is one of the Himayat centres working in the acceleration mode from past two years. Till date four batches of Himayat training program have completed in this centre. In the fourth batch, DB Tech (Ganderbal) has successfully achieved the target of 100% placement by placing 87 students. The centre offers training in different domains such as BPO, Retail and Hospitality. The trainees have been helped to get placement in brands like Café Coffee Day, Barbeque Nation, Aegis Global Services, Vedic Health Care, Lifeline Adventures, etc. The acknowledgment for this wonderful achievement goes to the group of the trainers, who have wholeheartedly imparted right skills among the students and made them capable enough to get the job. On behalf of DB Tech, we appreciate DB Tech (Ganderbal) team, Mr Irshad Ahmad Wani (BPO Trainer & Center Coordinator), Ms Ruqaiyah Fayaz (ITES Trainer), Mr Aadil Ashraf (Communicative English Trainer) and Mr Arif Hanief (Hospitality Trainer), who have achieved the target fruitfully.

Rising Star | Sekhar Pradhan

Reason to smile

Mr. Sekhar Pradhan is Personal Assistant to Mr. Basudev Swain (MD, Jai Mata Di Agro & Minerals, Rourkela). Sekhar got this opportunity after taking training from DB Tech (Phulbani, Odisha) in the Sales & Marketing domain under OLM project. Today he travels with his boss in an AC car along with a laptop. Presently he is getting Rs. 6000/per month with free food and accommodation. He is also availing benefits such as PF and ESI and a mobile from office. As he has shared, his salary will be increased to Rs.15000/- per month if he will continue working for three months. The person who is today enjoying a blissful life today was at one point of time in utter despair. The BASE programme launched by DB Tech came as a savior to him, Sekhar hails from village Padunbadi located at Kandhamal district of Odisha. There is no connectivity, no electricity, no mobile network and no drinking water. One has to walk up the hillock for 45 minutes from the link road to reach his house. He has lived in such a pathetic condition. He is the only son of his parents Mr. Nehura Pradhan and Mrs. Umabati Pradhan. He came for training at DB Tech just after finishing his 12th standard, and there, his life took a ‘U turn’. The boy started his training at DB Tech in the Sales & Marketing domain. “He was one of the intelligent, sharp, disciplined and humble candidates. Sekhar was always eager to participate in all sorts of activities, be it inter-active sessions or games,” says Mr. Sarat Ch. Dash (Trainer-DB Tech, Phulbani). He turned out to be a good speaker and hosted couple of shows during his tenure as a trainee in BASE. He shared a warm relation with all the trainers and carved his own niche in the hearts of all trainers and trainees. He grasped every single opportunity to come in front and speak in English. “In fact he had a strong desire to speak perfect English and correct his pronunciation. During the classes, he used to keep his dictionary right in front of his desk so that he could get the meaning of all the difficult words”, says Ms. Sradha (Trainer - DB Tech, Phulbani). He used to make extra effort to learn English from Fr. Corne of Xavier Community College. Just a day ago he visited the centre. While interacting with the new batch, he said, “Fine-tuning of soft skills is most important. It really helps one to get a good job, what I am today is because of the opportunity provided by DB Tech. So just avail this opportunity at your best.” He purposely talked to the students in English to motivate them and giving them the hope that they can also be like him in three months of training. He also said, “Dream young India dream! Grab the opportunity, sharpen your skills and fly high, your future is in your hand”. The trainees were indeed amazed at the calibre of their senior Sekhar. The DB Tech team of Phulbani salute this young person and wish him all the very best to be successful at every stage of life.
