Action Inpacted Specifications
In this technological world we live in we mostly depend on a day to day basis with the different computer systems with various specifications, capability and features. This advert caught my eye because as a gamer myself you always tend to search for strong specifications so you can get all off that intense action gameplay. The company called AMD that develops computer processors and any related technologies came out with a campaign called “AMD Game to represent their new Products to gamers and any individuals wanting a powerful computer. In their first advert AMD inserted action by using racks of guns and grenades to the computer built with their products, in the second advert the use of soccer gears where used to represent the high pressure of power that soccer players have.
Substitute
AMD substituted the original computer specifications such as CPU, Motherboards and every single component to a computer version filled up with pistols, machine guns and grenades to create and illustrate the power and action that it gives to user while using the computer.
Adapt
As new technologies come out the traditional looking computer adapted and implemented better ways of embracing this new technology we use in a day to day basis.
LOSING IT, HURTS Certain individuals pass their time by illegally poach and steal unprotected animals and by this doing certain types of animals like the Mexican wolf and the Mexican jaguar are on the brink of extinction. With this advertisement Anima Naturalis is trying to send a message for everyone to help them against the people doing the damage to these animals before more harm is done and these animals are lost forever. The advert features a human’s leg with the tattoo of the said Mexican wolf near the severed leg with a title “Losing It, Hurts” representing the agony that a person goes through when losing part of his body. The severed human leg isn’t cut in a clean procedure to show that the wolves are being extinct bit by bit and soon they will end like the representation of the other part of the leg that’s cut away.
Eliminate
By eliminating part of the human body and representing it with a dirty cut of the severed leg it provides a far more meaningful advert to people watching as its part of their body and thus they realize the important matter of losing something forever.

Reverse Thinking The Mcast Website
SKE TCH In the Research of Reverse Thinking we had a exercise where we had to refurbish the Mcast website in order to make it more fitting for the users and overall improve it. In class we carried out an exercise where we listed many different faults and solutions regarding of the faults listed.
H
Header?
Mcast website’s header featured a logo, header and a burger menu on the top left side. These menus caused a confusion and also cuased overlaping in the text and images in mobile form. I decided to remove the burger menu and instead implement a small header on top of everything with tabs such as “Prospective Students“, “Current Students“, “Faculty“. These help to reduce jumble up information through different tabs and pages. The bottom side header then features tabs such as “Academics“, “Community“, “Campus Life/ Health“. The headers are made easier and more straight foward for the user to be able to navigate.
Interaction?
The Mcast connection with their students is very minimal, it only features facebook, twitter and youtibe in the footer. It is barely visible and noticeable by the users. Though the site features a large title saying any question and support to call them. I decided that should feature their connections with the community and institutes in the main content and it is very important way and how students connect these days. The community should be implemented in more social media platforms like LinkedIn and instagram and should be featured more permantly.
Stories?
The Mcast site does not feature a lot regarding content on events and stories. I decided that under the banner instead of content related to information found in the naviation tabs it would be better in include featured stories, Newsroom and Events. The stories can include students innovation and startups, the newsroom can include information regarding the faculty and then a bar for events that students can enroll in. These sections has to be updated every few weeks to help with the interation of the students attending or potential students.

Christmas morning he’ll be happier with a Hoover. Hoover is an American vacuum cleaner company that specializes in floor care for households, they produce multiple of different types of cleaners for different type of situations. This advertisement that I choose from Hoover features a Christmas holiday gift guide, shows a man dressed in Christmas attire and next to him is a brand new hoover that his wife bought him for Christmas. The man is laid on the ground reading the gifts letter while also looking happy, though he seems as if his reaction is being forced. The advertisements title reads “Christmas morning he’ll be happier with a hoover,” which suggest that the vacuum is a better Christmas gift than any other gift, however from looking at the man’s reaction you can easily notice that receiving a household cleaning appliance for Christmas is actually not what he would expect receiving and not what would make him happy. These kinds of adverts which has the reversed gender roles are from the 1950’s, there were similar sexist ads which inverted the roles and the men are given a taste of what women would do. Hoovers message regarding this advertisement is that the man also cares about his home and you should care about him and buy him one.

Don’t Join The Army
The United Kingdom for British Army came out with a typographical advert regarding the main elements of the army. The advert wasn’t as the typical advert does saying to join something but the advertisement read every principle of joining the army with “Don’t”. The advertisement main title is “Don’t join the Army.” Which is written in block white letters on a blank black background. Under the title there is 5 principles that are written in the same block letters but instead in a yellow tint, these principles are elements that help you in your life. When reading such principles like “don’t make a difference” or “Don’t find out what you’re capable of ” it makes you think twice about yourself and about joining the army. When reading something that it tells you to not do something you tend to want to do it more and succeed in life, even more when it can make you a better person and make a difference for the people around you. After reading these points and are on your mind the advert features a search box image with the message saying, “Search Army Jobs” so if you’re interested in making a change in that line of work you will be encouraged more and search it.
QUESTIONING ASSUMPTIONS
This is the functional equivalent of a set blinders, like horses wear. We continue plodding straight ahead, unable to see what lies to the right or left of us. As it’s name implies, the Questioning Assumptions technique encourages the group to begin by questioning the
assumptions they may have made about the particular creative challenge on which they’re working. However, from a creative, ideagenerating standpoint, it’s often useful (if not absolutely critical) that, at times, we question the most basic assumptions about the task on which we’re working.

A directory is a good way of showing visitors how diverse a building really is. By looking at it you will realise how many different places there can be. “Wow, there’s a theatre in here? Oh shit, there’s a gym?“

A this way or that way sign is a very big helpful tool but it is also very obnoxious so that visitors wouldn’t miss it. The boards can be quickly read with the image display and large typography displaying where you are leading too.

Pedestrian Crossing This advert of Mr. Clean was a very simple but very effective when sending their message towards the people regarding their products. Mr. Clean is a brand name with a mascot and it is used as an all-purpose cleaner. The brands mascot is a character that represents the products of the company as the “Genie in a bottle. The amazing simple example that Mr. Clean advertised was when they colored a crosswalk strip and added their mascot logo at a bottom of the strip. All of the crosswalk stripes are normally dirty from the traffic but Mr. Clean strip was standing out next to them as it was a very bright white and extremely cleaner. This is great example of simplicity as they are directing a strong message through a single color and a mascot. If the color would have been the same as the other stripes with just a mascot to represent the brand it wouldn’t have mattered and no one would have noticed but with the color standing out it captures the attention of the brainless human drones that would be staring down in their phones while walking over.

Kit Kat bar bench illusion
This advert of Nestle’s and the popular chocolate wafer Kit Kat was a very clever and a very interesting campaign with regarding to a bench advertisement. The adverts design was featured on a park bench where the wood planks of the bench were painted a dark natural look to give it the look of the Kit-Kat chocolate bars and then half of the bench was painted as the Kit-Kats wrapper. Since the advert was a look alike of the KitKat bars it would catch the people attention and might make you hungry and subconsciously you might want to buy a kit-Kat. You may even be talking to someone regarding sweets or food in general and you might talk about the interesting design of the Kit Kats advert and thus you would be generating more advertisement between everyone. If you never saw or heard of a Kit-Kat this advertisement would be confusing at first glance by people but once you get about what it is and the meaning after it is the kind of advert that sticks in your mind.

Who do you count on for a clean environment.
This advert of OVAM the public waste agency regarding the worlds disaster in waste and on who is going to able to clean the waste that we create throughout the world. The general purpose of this advertisement is because that in the world there is too much waste and It keeps on getting worse, waste is found everywhere whether it is in the populated city or in the fields of greenery or in the ocean. The imaginative manipulation that OVAM combined to find a new solution of environmental cleaner was an unidentified flying object or also known as UFO to pick up the waste. The advert is based around a metaphor that they took apart the existing problem of waste problem and transferred it by reinventing a non-existent space ship for cleaning our messes. The advert reads “Who do you count on for a clean environment” which obviously we cannot count on the UFO’s as they are non-existent. The advert continues with a small message “Together we make tomorrow more beautiful” which suggests that if we want a cleaner and more beautiful world we must work together and succeed.

Dirty Bomb This advert of UNICEF the united nations children fund regarding the millions of people dying from the polluted water. The general purpose of this advertisement is because in some countries there is polluted water and families without homes and money cannot do anything and in a year 1.5 million children payed from this disaster. The manipulation that the advert features is a nuclear bomb that is symbolized in a water form. UNICEF empathized this advertisement to help understand and share the tragedy of these unfortunate children life. The advert is based around a metaphor that they changed the style of the nuclear but to still keep its meaning behind the catastrophe it does by changing it to be related to what these children are suffering from. The advert only features the water nuclear and a message reading that in a year 1.5 children died because of the polluted water that they drink, this made the advert a bit of isolated to empathize the feelings of the children.
