Carbon Footprint Amount of carbon emissions directly associated with the organisation, area, or activity. Carbon Neutral Having no carbon emissions that are not also countered by additional carbon off-setting or sequestration. Carbon Off-setting Additional carbon reduction elsewhere to compensate for the actual emissions associated with the organisation, area, or activity. This could include tree planting, carbon capture, or renewable electricity generation to be used other than by the organisation, area, or activity.
