As schools let out and vacations come into swing, many dental practices use summer as a “halftime break” to take stock, analyze the year’s progress to date and gameplan for a strong end of year. Here at DC Dental, we’re taking stock of our first half. We worked hard to produce our largest catalog to date (hitting your practice now) featuring over 500 pages of value-priced products and services. We secured AGD/Pace approval and hired Dr. Lisa Germain as our Clinical Director, setting the stage for DC Clinical, an ambitious new post-graduate learning department (you can read more about DC Clinical and Dr. Germain on page 3). We also opened a new Technology Department to help keep practices informed on latest offerings in digital dentistry, such as CBCT or digital impressions. Meet our Clinical Director Dr. Lisa Germain has been a dentist for over 35 years. After completing her DDS degree from the University of Maryland, she graduated from the esteemed Henry M. Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry at Boston University with a Master of Science Degree and specialty certificate in Endodontics. In 1985 she achieved Diplomate status and became board certified in her specialty. Dr. Germain’s unique combination of skills and experience make her a prominent, world expert in the differential diagnosis and treatment of odontogenic and nonodontogenic facial pain, dental materials, and treatment planning for optimum success. Dr. Germain lectures around the world at dental meetings and in university settings on a variety of dental topics, is a member of numerous dental organizations, and is a contributing author for Dentistry Today as well as other dental publications. Dr. Germain is in private practice in New Orleans, LA. She is is excited to serve as the Clinical Director at DC Dental where she hopes to bring you the most cutting edge information and education available in the field of dentistry.
