Students will learn comprehension and pronunciation of the Cyrillic alphabet as well as vocabulary and phrases that will be based on students’ interest.

The class will also touch on Russian and Soviet culture and history. Learning basic

About the instructor: Chris Hrabe worked in Latvia, a former Soviet Republic, for four years as an English teacher for the Peace Corps.

The library expects to be at the temporary site until mid-2014. Though regular services will continue, the relocation will cause some services to be adapted to the new site, while others will be offered at locations throughout the community.

Eight faceto-face counseling sessions for smoking cessation are now covered. Part B also offers obesity screening and counseling. In some cases, co-payments apply for these.

In 2013, people with Medicare Part B will also pay less out of pocket, for outpatient mental health treatment. The copayment is now 35%, down from 50%. For the initial diagnosis, you’ll continue to pay 20%. Medicare pays the rest.

These discounts will be applied automatically at your pharmacy or mail-order supplier. You donít have to ask for them.

quarterly Medicare summary notices starting later this year.

The language is simpler, the print is larger, and there are clear definitions right on the form. There are also stepby-step instructions for you to check the form’s accuracy, appeal anything that is wrong, or report potential fraud in your account. It’s one more way Medicare is safeguarding your benefits - and taxpayer dollars.

The new forms will be phased in between February and June, depending on the state you live in.

Medicare premiums and deductibles have increased slightly in 2013. By law, the premium must cover a fixed percentage of Medicare’s

expenses. Premium increases are in line with projected cost increases. Medicare Part B premiums have gone up slowly over the past five years - an average of less than 2 per cent per year. The Part B premium for most people in 2013 is $104.90 per month, up $5, and the annual Part B deductible is $147, an increase of $7, compared to 2012. The Part A deductible, if you are admitted to a hospital, is $1,184, an increase of $28.
