All-Ireland Football Final Screening, from 1pm, NuBar Whether you’re a GAA fan or not, the NuBar staff will be serving up a fresh and free BBQ for the first 100 from 1pm.

Loud in Larkfield, From 6pm We welcome you with open arms with a BBQ, DJ and icebreakers. Chill out and celebrate - You’re a DCU student now!

MONDAY 23rd

Join us in the SU for a cuppa and a treat- the first 100 freshers to arrive get a lovely SU mug!

Lock & Key, NuBar, From 9pm This is your chance. Some of you will get keys. Some of you will get locks. The stick-y bit goes into the slit-y bit and if the lock opens we’ll give you free stuff.

5 piece Dublin based rock band Keywest are coming to DCU!Originally seen on the streets of Dublin busking, their debut album “The Message” shot to success and was Nominated “Hot Press Best Debut Album 2012”. After performing a sell out Irish tour in 2012 and exceeding a whopping 2 million youtube views, their popularity is rapidly growing. Make sure to catch these guys while they’re here!

THURSDAY 26th

It’s the first of the Well Wednesdays where we Arthurs’ Day have all things “well” to Celebrations, NuBar offer! 3 – 8pm

Comedy Hypnotist, Michael McCoy 2 – 3.30pm, Venue

To Arthur! Celebrate his greatness in the NuBar from 3pm. Acoustic sessions with some up and coming stars to warm you up for the night ahead.

A known YouTube sensation! County & Country Colours, from 9.30pm, NuBar

The county & country colours of the world will be on glowing display in the NuBar at this event. Do your county/country proud and do whatever it takes to show off where you are from!

Silent Cinema, 7 – 9pm (Rain date Thurs 3rd Oct)

We bring you a very unique movie-watching experience; A pop up, outdoor cinema where you wear headphones and watch great, feel-good movies. Round up some troops and bring blankets! Not to be missed.

HEADLINE - The Original Rude Boys from 9.30pm WARMUP ACTS- The Waylayers and Chris Haze This event will definitely be one of the biggest nights of the year. The Waylayers will be warming us up for the headline act and performing their debut single “Magnets” which features in the brand new Guinness ad. Welcome back! It’s the first night of term so we’re having a BBQ in Hampstead to fill you up before a night in the Nubar.

Duke, 9.30pm, Nubar UK’s no.1 BeatBoxing band “Duke” are coming to the Nubar to entertain you for the night. A band like no other, DUKE perform a massive array of covers with only three voices and one guitar!

J1 WELCOME BACK FRESHERS BALL ft Coolio, DeadMau5 tribute and Daft Funk from 9.30pm. One of the biggest nights of the semester, this year the Freshers’ Ball is all things U.S OF.A. We will be transforming the Hub into Vegas, Boston, New York, and Chicago. Expect the statue of liberty, Can-Can girls, and chicago burlesque! American dress essential! Take it as far as it will go and be entertained by Coolio, Deadmau5 tribute and Daft Funk!
