Not sure how a cow that has an average of 630 pounds and a 99 WW ratio on her first 3 heifers and 1 bull calf can have such a low milk number but I guess that’s why the milk EPD is the one EPD that I pretty much ignore, not just in my own herd but whenever I select cattle from other Gelbvieh operations. Her lone bull calf sold for $4250 and she leaves a great daughter by Game Changer as her replacement.

Check out the awesome EPD strength across the board on this top production cow. Can’t overstate enough the value we place on the C136 females we have in the herd. All three of her daughters have been retained and her bull this year would have been but he had really short ears and tail so he got cut and sent to the feedlot for the AGF “Scale and Rail” contest.

She produced only females during her stay at Post Rock with all but one retained as a replacement female. She’s a higher percentage female that offers a lot of breeding options and has maintained a 367 day calving interval. Good udder and good cow.

Awesome ¾ blood Shark daughter that was an AGA Dam Of Merit. She posts an outstanding 102 BW, 104 WW, and 106 YW ratios on her progeny. She produced 4 daughters during her stay at Post Rock all of which were retained. Since we have multiple daughters already in the herd, her daughter sells as Lot 171 as a featured lot and proof of her producing ability.

Another awesome numbered C136 daughter out of a former AGA Dam of Merit winner dam. She’s maintained a 345 day calving interval and has settled AI every year with her son selling just under the sale average. Good solid cow that’s backed by a strong cow and cow family.

Check out these amazing EPDs across the board. This cow had an AI calf as a first calf heifer, but moved towards the end of the calving season on her second calf and has pretty much maintained her spot there calving too late to AI breed but has come in bred every year. If you calve in April and May time period, she would be a perfect fit and is a really good cow that needs a chance to utilize her genetic merit.
