Roy certainly made a name for himself at the 2022 AGF “Scale and Rail” contest, siring the grand champion purebred pen for carcass value, the grand champion purebred steer for average daily gain and 3rd, 4th, and 5th overall placers in carcass value purebred division. His purebred sons graded 100% choice with a 4.4 average daily gain, 446 marbling score, 16.24 average REA with only .58 inches of backfat and an average yield grade of 2.0. We purchased this purebred bull as the high seller in the southwest Iowa Gelbvieh Bull Sale from Holste Gelbvieh. While on test he was the high gaining bull with a 5.06 ADG with his ultrasound data being equally impressive with a 107 ratio for ribeye area of 15.53 inches and a 1260 scan weight with only .33 inches of backfat and a whopping 125 IMF marbling ratio on ultrasound. He’s being infused deep in our purebred female base.

Another exciting sire group is the TTTT Mighty Hott ET. Mighty Hott was selected as the Balancer Breeder Choice Futurity winner in 2016. Walking rights and a semen interest was purchased out of the National Sale by Stucky Beef Genetics. His initial calf crop data of 1.0 CE, 97 BW, 100 WW, 101 YW, 100 REA, and 100 IMP on nearly 100 progeny from 21 herds is against strong contemporary groups at Post Rock. He sired the 2021 Reserve Champion Pen of Carcass Value Steers in the AGF Scale and Rail Contest. This will be the last major sire group of Mighty Hott sons as his natural service has been lost.

With the success and interest the Big Andy bull created in the Eagle Pass dispersal we purchased this Homo Black Homo Polled purebred son to use on heifers without sacrificing performance or body depth and natural thickness. He has proven to do just that in our operation and his sons should do the same for you.

Owned with Twin Oak Gelbvieh. We drove 100’s of miles and looked at 100’s of bulls last spring searching for an outcross Balancer bull to add to our program. CTR Money 0826H was the bull we selected after our travels. We love this bull for his soundness and completeness. You simply can’t pick a hole in him. We were really impressed with the entire Money sire group at Cedar Top and he was part of a standout 9 head flush group that had at least 3 big time herd bull prospects in it. For our program we felt he was the top pick of the group and are excited about this young herd sire’s potential.
