Now in its 7th year of operation! Summer DanceLab provides an opportunity for aspiring 7-young adult dancers to train in a pre-professional dance environment training eight hours a day, from one to four weeks of dance study during the summer. We provide pre-professional dance training that informs and encourages, the pursuit of a post-secondary education, healthy living, mentorship, self and life skill mastery. The Summer DanceLab is part of our Youth program and is central to our effort to empower a generation of young artists to be the change agents of their community. Dissonance Dance Theatre, The official dance company of Ngoma Center for Dance, presents auditions for its summer dance intensive at the world-class Clarice Center for The Performing Arts at University of Maryland College Park (Washington, D.C. area).
