Work Experience •September 2010- date -Model at Style Academy and Tyne Tees Agency Improved my confidence working in fashion shows and photo-shoots, the experience helped to develop negotiating skills and an independent and professional work ethic. One of the main clients I have been continuously working for is Barbour Clothing, presenting collections to buyers on a global level. This experience gave me an insight into the buying industry, learning about how buyers negotiate, select, and purchase. • June 2015- September 2015 -The Ulster Tatler Group Production and Editorial assistant, copywriter for Ulster Bride and creating graphic design visuals for the advertising section. Improved I.T. skills through the daily use of Microsoft Excel, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Time management skills were important when organising time around daily tasks. Taught me to have a meticulous eye for detail, when proof-reading and checking my writing. Helped to organise the Ulster Tatler awards ceremony which allowed me to improve organisational skills and solve problems. Improved my telephone manner and interpersonal skills as I often was asked to approach people to gather information to create newsworthy content. • April 2015- June 2015- Excel clothing Photography, Product and Buying Assistant, use negotiating and decision making skills to carefully select products. Produce copy-writing for promotional and informative web-purposes. •September 2013- March 2014 -F+F, Tesco; Sales Assistant and Product Placement: Communicating verbally with customers and visually through visual merchandising the ladies clothing area. Engaging, collecting and analysing customers behaviour and shopping habits to ensure that trends are placed appropriately to catch the customers attention. •June 2013 -Newcastle Fashion Week Team Member: Worked in a team often under pressure, to organise and put together a successful event. Used my initiative and problem-solving skills when necessary. Networked successfully with industry professionals. •November 2011- January 2014- River Island, Sales Advisor: Engaged and analysed the high street trends, communicating with my team and customers in a professional manner. Gained commercial and product awareness. Improved my time-management skills as I simultaneously held down a job whilst doing well in school and extra-curricular activities such as playing hockey and Duke of Edinburgh. • June 2011 Belfast Telegraph: Worked closely with journalist Louise Small, gathering qualitative research to communicate an interesting and effective article within a tight deadline which was published in the Belfast Telegraph.
