bout the author
the ballad of David e. Haase begins by tragic accident of birth. he was born sans eyelids. due to the diligence of Dr. Obstetrician, an emergency circumcision was performed. the amputated foreskin was the grafted to his eyes. now he's cockeyed. fast forward: adulthood. David became a world famous trout farmer in Colorado until the Dept. of Agriculture stopped subsidizing him when they discovered fish aren't a crop. his poetry and flash fiction have appeared in Metazen, Gutter Eloquence, Short, Fast, and Deadly, and In Between Altered States, among others.
