CLOSE COMMUNITY EVENTS
A Warm Welcome I’d like to wish you a very Happy New Year from everyone at Dean Close, and to invite you to attend as many of the Close Community events that you are able to get to in 2018. It has been lovely for me to be back at Dean Close and I have greatly enjoyed meeting so many friends and supporters over the past few months. One of the highlights of the year so far has been the opening of the new Poppy Cloister outside the chapel; as the year in which we celebrate the centenary of the signing of the Armistice begins I hope you will find a moment to visit the cloister and pause to reflect on the former pupils whose lives lay behind the list of names there. This year we also celebrate 50 years of coeducation at Dean Close and there will be plenty of events to mark that important change in the School’s pupil mix. I hope to bump into you at one or more events in the near future. Emma Taylor Warden, The Dean Close Foundation
