Dean Close is a highly regarded independent school based in the Regency town of Cheltenham. Our campus style site is an impressive blend of old and new buildings within 50 acres of peaceful, landscaped grounds providing the ideal location for your hire.
We offer accommodation in the form of our wide style of Boarding Houses.
Choose from 3 Prep School boarding houses with dorm style bedrooms and spacious common rooms/kitchens as well as six senior houses with a mixture of En suites, singles and dorm style bedrooms, spacious common rooms and study spaces.
Our impressive range of facilities are also available for hire throughout the year. Spaces range from The Bacon Theatre and Centenary Hall venues to our spectacular water-based hockey Astro-turf and heated indoor pool.

Here at Dean Close we have an array of facilitates that allow us to cater for all different kinds of events. Whether you are after a space for a business conference, a residential stay or a music performance we have a space that would work for you. Our sports facilities are also for hire on a regular or one off-basis. For residential stays, all facility use is included the price per head, per night package agreed.
Bacon Theatre
The impressive Bacon Theatre was completed in 1991 and built to a very high specification.
As a professional arts venue, it boasts:
• excellent sightlines and state-of-the-art sound, lighting and audio visual technology. The Theatre also offers:

The Orangery @ The Bacon Theatre
• The elegant marble foyer of the Bacon Theatre doubles up as an impressive space in its own right, complete with a fully licensed bar and refreshment area. With high ceilings and an imposing architecture, the Orangery is an ideal setting for entertaining guests or clients.

Dean Close House is a beautifully grand venue for a wedding reception, garden party, conference or even intimate dinner.
Built in 1875, Dean Close House offers three large downstairs reception rooms, including an atrium, lounge and dining room, all with ample proportions. With over an acre of superb landscaped gardens, this would also be the ideal location for a sizeable marquee on the lawn. This venue also boasts professional standard kitchen facilities, providing limitless catering options.
Dean Close House and Gardens are available for private or corporate functions. Both internal and external facilities in this venue, can be hired separately or collectively depending on your requirements.

Centenary Hall
A welcome addition to the Dean Close Preparatory School site is this well-equipped and very versatile theatre venue.
With an impressive entrance, elegant atrium and breakout rooms in close proximity, this is the ideal space for small to medium-scale conferences, receptions and performances.
This venue also offers:
• Vibrant concert venue with ideal acoustics
• Excellent audio-visual technology with full technical support (at an additional cost – please enquire)
• Flexible space with retractable seating for 370
• Ideal for standing receptions, exhibitions and presentations
• Perfect plenary room with adjoining atrium and meeting rooms in close proximity for smaller breakout groups
• Prominent position on the Lansdown Road / A40 / Cheltenham train station
• Parking for 40 cars directly outside venue with additional street parking
• Wheelchair accessible, with adapted toilet facilities
• The auditorium and atrium can be hired separately or combined, depending on your event.
Edwards Dining Hall
Our stylish and elegant dining hall boasts high ceilings and stunning views over Leckhampton Hill.
Ideal for large scale business events or celebratory functions for up to 350 guests with full set-up and support included.
Our catering team Palmer & Howells are also on hand in the adjoining kitchen to cater for events, providing everything from small conference lunches to luxurious 3-course-meals.
Previously known as the Prince Michael Hall and commonly referred to as the music school, HPH is another incredibly versatile venue.
Opened in 1997, HPH is a vibrantly designed 120-seat recital venue, that can also double up as a more intimate hall space for smaller functions/events.
The surrounding practice rooms/classrooms make excellent break-out spaces and there are also office spaces on the first floor
