Product Freshness & Processing Times Last year my plant manager and I had a talk about the best way to move forward in manufacturing with the increase in sales we were experiencing. With the two of us having almost 75 years in chemical manufacturing experience we decided to make a change. Most companies would increase the volume of the batches they are making. Well, our change was different. We decided to make smaller batches. This change allowed us tighter quality control and allowed us to ship a fresher product. Instead of making large batches and letting them sit on shelves, we made smaller batches so instead of getting a product that may be 3 months old, now you receive a product that is no more than 7 to 10 days old. When you receive our product you can rest assured it is fresh. Also the Just Good Soap, Sugar n Shea, TLC Mask and Soap on a Ropes are custom made per order. None of these are made until we have the order in hand. Our order processing time is normally 5 to 7 business days, but when orders have custom made products there may be an additional 3 days to ship.
How Skin by Nature Began
Hello everyone, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Gary Grant. I am the founder and chemist for Skin by Nature, Inc. I started this company 4 years ago (2012) because of something that I witnessed. A very close friend of mine was going through chemotherapy and radiation treatments . I saw her skin age and basically die before my eyes. I asked her one day what she was using to aid her skin and she said well just look at my sink and night stand and you will see what I am using. After viewing what she was using, I told her she needed to switch to a natural product and not use the products she was using. She told me she had looked but natural products were three times more expensive than anything she was using. She asked me "Can You Help Me". That has stuck with me ever since. I knew with over 35 years as a chemist I could do something about it. I started making a couple different products in my kitchen and giving them to her . Within a few days she started noticing a difference and so did her friends. They talked me into starting Skin by Nature, Inc. My primary goal ever since that happened was to make a superior quality product that everyone could afford. That is why my pricing is as low as I can get it. I could charge three times more for it, but is that helping my customer or me. When you have seen the changes in people's lives that these products have made, you will understand my passion.I have kept my cost low because of using inexpensive packaging and low cost labels. I have kept marketing costs to a minimum. I have tried to get folks like you to feel the passion that I have. If you have ever talked with me, you can feel the passion in my voice. I want to thank you for helping me get the word out about this company, but I still need your help. If you are interested in making lots of money, this may not be the company for you. But what you have to ask yourself is the same question I had to ask myself, Am I helping myself or my customer? Some days in the store customers come up and give me a big hug and say thank you. As in the commercial "that is priceless".
