NO NEED TO FRET WE HAVE A CHECKLIST FOR THAT

☐ The Decorations

☐ Appetizers

☐ Beverages

☐ Desserts

Sticks collected from the backyard spray painted in black and white, pumpkins over various shapes, sizes, textures and colors and black roses make for a spooktacular setting.

If you’re serving alcoholic drinks, plan on three to four cocktails per guest for a two- to three-hour party. A seasonal favorite like apple cider can easily play double-duty, non-alcoholic for the teetotalers and kids in your group and spiked with rum or bourbon for those that choose to imbibe.

Seasonal colors of Orange and Black are found in more than just candy. Elevate your affair with caviar (we suggest our DEAN & DELUCA Salmon Roe, orange and Gold Label Oesetra Caviar, black).

Cupcakes and cookies are easy for guests to eat and fun to decorate for Halloween. Using our Something Wicked Cupcake Kit you can even allow guests to express themselves by adding spooky stickers and toppers of their choosing. Serve on a platter surrounded by “smoke” made from dry ice and you have a yummy treat and showstopper for your dessert table.

 Serving dishes & glassware

Count your platters and various cocktail glasses beforehand to make sure you have enough for the food & beverage to be served.

 Gift Bags

Set out glass jars loaded with different types of candies and mini scoops, and let guests fill their own goodie bags to take home. We suggest going high-style and gifting guests a DEAN & DELUCA Mini Tote of Treats filled with a selection of bewitching Halloween treats such as Kettle Corn, Pumpkin Spice Maltballs, Lollipops and Candy Corn.

PROHIBITION PARTY As law enforcement officials shut down countless bars and saloons across the country speakeasies sprang up overnight. By 1925 tens of thousands had opened in New York City alone. To drive up sales these speakeasies began to offer forward-thinking culinary delights in addition to intoxicating beverages. Assorted bite-sized canapés became popular as did hosting cocktail parties at home.

Our menu suggestions: • Appetizers and Finger Foods (no pun intended). We recommend our Cheese Lovers or Comfort Appetizer Collections. Each collection boasts three varieties of gourmet bites-sized indulgence. • Marshmallow treats were chic in the Prohibition era. Play homage with our Shortbread S’more Collection, a collection of 20 S’mores. • Spiderweb Truffles scream Halloween. Perfectly packaged, these chocolate truffles can also serve as a gift for your guests. • Smoked Bourbon Old-Fashioned, recipe on opposite page.
