I’m a freelance writer, copy editor and admitted culture junkie specialising in contemporary music, film, books and food. Seriously bitten by the writing bug when first published in the Sunday Independent in 2007, I went on to contribute reviews and articles to the funny and subversive Mongrel Magazine, the award winning State.ie, and, for the last two and a half years, Irish Times Music and Film magazine The Ticket. As a writer and reviewer, to me, it's about having passion, enthusiasm and respect for my subject. This, I feel, is reflected in my work- I pride myself on having a lively and adaptable writing style. Born in New York to a Jamaican writer/bookworm and a music obsessed Puerto Rican radio DJ, I moved to Ireland in 1993 and now live in South Dublin with my partner. One day, I plan to fulfil a dream dreamt from age five and write at least one novel.
