Lasio Keratin Tropic is formaldehyde free. It lasts up to 3 months, reduces up to 60% of curls, eliminates 100% of frizz, and contains a cosmetic preservative, euxyl k702 that allows it to last without the use of formaldehyde.

Keratin Tropic is a great treatment to recommend to clients that stray away from products that contain formaldehyde. Clients that are apprehensive about losing their curl are great candidates for the Keratin Tropic treatment as it eliminates 100% of the frizz while keeping body and enhancing curl. Keratin Tropic is also great for women with fine hair.

Coconut Oil: Coconut oil has been used as hair oil for thousands of years, and it has shown remarkable results. Coconut oil keeps the hair strong, nourished, and protected. The use of coconut oil also helps to reduce protein loss in hair.

Lasio Color Pro is our UV Protectant, color treated formula. This formula contains 0.02% formaldehyde, lasts up to 4 months, reduces up to 90% of curl, and eliminates 100% of frizz. Color Pro contains a unique FLEXSHIELD technology that forms a breathable barrier over the hair strand, allowing nutrients to penetrate the hair shaft while blocking harmful UV rays and sealing color molecules into the hair shaft.

Color Pro is gentle, and great for high lift blonds with damaged hair requiring delicate attention due to over processing. It’s great for fast fading redheads, creative colors, and it’s highly recommended in color repigmentation cases to keep darker colors vibrant longer.

FLEXSHIELD TECHNOLOGY: Uses borage oil and a Vitaplex to protect high lift blondes and redheads against premature fading and sun damage from UV rays. Lasio Mocha Silk Treatment is our MOISTURIZING formula! This formula contains 0.02% formaldehyde, lasts up to 4 months, reduces up to 90% of curl, and eliminates 100% of frizz. It also contains cacao oil, which drenches dry strands in moisture.

EFFECTIVE at smoothing resistant hair. This treatment is great to suggest to clients with extremely dry or damaged hair, to clients with thick, coarse or very curly hair looking to achieve a straighter look.

Cacao Oil: containing natural antioxidants, it’s smooth texture, enticing aroma, and emollient properties strengthen and smooth hair. Cacao oil is used to retain moisture and protect hair that is dry or over- processed against environmental stress and fading.

Just as you would suggest a color treated shampoo to your color client, or a volumizing shampoo to a client with fine hair who wants more volume, you are given the option with Lasio to suggest a keratin treatment that suits the needs of each individual client. The important thing is managing your client’s expectations.

Let’s look at examples of what type of client each treatment may best serve, however it’s up to your professional opinion to recommend the treatment best suited for your client. Remember, while Lasio Keratin Treatments DO remove UP TO 90% of hair’s curl depending on the treatment used, these are not straightening treatments. For best results, inform your clients that our treatments are heat activated treatments.

Also, take note that 90% is not the same for everyone. You are provided a percentage to give you a more accurate view of the end results. 90% will not produce the same results for a client with tight curls as it would for someone with big waves.

The 24 Hour Rule

There is no proven benefit to leaving ANY LASIO Keratin Treatment on longer than 24 hours. Treatments left on for longer than the recommended time can result in over keratinization of the hair, or protein overdose, resulting in dry brittle hair.

Lifestyle

Understanding your client’s lifestyle helps you suggest ways to elongate their treatments, such as avoiding things like salt from sweat, pools, or the ocean.

Sodium Chloride: aka salt

Because Lasio is a water based Keratin Treatment, we require a different aftercare line than most other silicone based treatment brands. Silicone based treatments require a sulfate free formula, but LASIO’s water based treatments require a sodium chloride free formula to maintain treatments at home. Lasio HYPERSILK aftercare line is sodium chloride free and each product is infused with hydrolyzed keratin, which reinforces Lasio Keratin Treatments with every use.

Clarifying Shampoo

LASIO Clarifying Shampoo is essential to every LASIO Keratin application process. Our Clarifying Shampoo has a low ph of 5, so it gently opens up the cuticle of the hair to allow the keratin treatment to absorb completely into the hair shaft. To clarify, wash your client’s hair at least two times, making sure not to scrub the scalp, which can cause irritation during the treatment process.

For hair with a low porosity level, give the hair an extra wash and let sit for 5 minutes. An example of this is virgin hair or fine to medium textured hair that has minimal processing.

Our Clarifying Shampoo is infused with hydrolyzed keratin and Cocamide Oil. Cocamide Oil coats the scalp to protect it from irritation during the treatment process.

Our gentle Clarifying Shampoo removes buildup, leaving hair clean and soft in preparation for the keratin treatment.
