A Look at Sierra Madre’s 120-YearOld Wisteria Vine The world’s largest blossoming plant was on display for nearly 10,000 visitors at yesterday’s annual Wistaria Festival in Sierra Madre. Nicknamed “Lavender Lady,” the wistaria vine weighed around 250 tons when it entered the Guinness World Records in 1990. The vine started in 1894 and sits in the backyard of homeowner Nell Solt.
