Neighborhood Press | Los Angeles Times Heather Graham Sells Hollywood Hills Haunt She Bought After ‘Boogie Nights’ Heather Graham has finally let go of her Hollywood Hills hacienda after 22 years. The actress just sold the 1920s home for $2.45 million, or $400,000 shy of her 2019 asking price. Graham still nearly tripled her money on the sale; records show she shelled out $880,000 for the home in 1998 a year after starring in the Oscar-nominated film “Boogie Nights.” She’s not the only big name to inhabit the home, which was built by architect Robert Finkelhor, the man behind Bob Hope’s famed estate in Toluca Lake. It was also owned by author Zane Grey, who’s famous for writing the genre-defining Western novel “Riders of the Purple Sage.”

Neighborhood Spotlight Marina Del Rey The small, affluent community of Marina del Rey, which is gaining popularity thanks to spillover from Silicon Beach, is home to around 9,000 people and 6,500 boats. The world’s largest man made small craft harbor features 19 marinas and the New England-style Fisherman’s Village, which hosts live music, fishing, harbor cruises, and boat rentals. From architectural, eco-friendly lofts and ocean view penthouses to Mid-Century Modern homes and new constructions, there’s a bit of something for everyone. You’ll find local residents enjoying a sunset cocktail at the California Yacht Club, taking in the Summer Concert Series at Chace Park, and biking around the Ballona Wetlands—that is when they aren’t on the water.


Neighborhood Press | Realtor.com Is $100M The Right Price For Pierce Brosnan’s Luxurious Malibu Retreat? Pierce Brosnan and his wife, Keely Brosnan, have listed their luxe Malibu property for an eye-popping $100 million. The property offers 117 feet of beachfront, and the custom-built abode is inspired by Southeast Asian style. Since they built the home, it’s the first time the resortlike retreat, dubbed “Orchid House,” has come up for sale. Can the couple manage to score a nine-digit payday? So is the $100 million price tag on solid ground? We asked some agents for their take. Turns out, $100 million isn’t quite as eyepopping of a price as it used to be. George Penner, CEO of Deasy Penner Podley, notes: “$100 million is certainly a significant number. But [a home on] over an acre on Broad Beach—with unique architecture—doesn’t hit the market every day.”
