Post-Baccalaureate Certification Programs

If you have earned a bachelor’s degree in a field other than education, you can complete a certification program in either secondary (grades 7-12) or elementary education (K-6). This post-baccalaureate program can accommodate individuals entering with degrees in all content majors, but is primarily designed for those wishing to certify in the same content area as their major. For those entering with a degree matching the certification content area, the program will take 12 months to complete, including student teaching. Those entering with a degree in an unrelated content area will need to take the required content courses, extending the program timeline. The three-semester program begins in the summer session, continues into the fall semester, ending with student teaching in the spring semester. All summer and fall courses are taught on campus in Laramie. Student teaching placement

locations will be in one of the designated partner districts. Students must apply for admission to the post-baccalaureate program. See http://www. uwyo.edu/ted/PBforms.asp for the application form.
