Foreword The Raw Truth to the Fountain of Youth is an inspirational masterpiece written on a humorous level that speaks to everyone. It appeals to me as a holistic physician, psychiatrist, livefoodist for 26 years, yogi, rabbi, Native American sundancer and spirit dancer, as well as an inductee in the National Football Hall of Fame. Perhaps most of all, it appeals to me as a spiritual athlete because this perhaps best captures Debbie Merrill’s life story which she so elegantly shares as a narrative for her teachings throughout this excellent book. In her life journey she takes you through all the steps and lessons she personally learned as a professional athlete and as a person who transitioned to life foods and the fountain of youth one inch at a time. In this process, she addresses all the basic issues, one bite at a time, one faces in the transition to a full and inspiring life fueled by live foods. Her “Merrillisms” add a great deal of heartfelt depth and understanding to the process. They reveal much philosophical depth, love, spiced with a subtle humor…all of which add to the inspirational and grounded practical offering this book is. Raw on the Roll Energy Balls This gets my Merrill Magic 5-star rating! These great balls of fire will allow you to take your knowledge, energy and power even higher and enjoy your food without the fire. Energy treats that are guaranteed to put pep in your step, zip in your trip and more raw in your drawer! All of these greens are superfoods, because they’re super for you. The balls contain crystal manna (wild blue-green algae), blue manna, Spirulina. Crystal manna contains phenylethylamine for the brain/memory, concentration, alertness, functioning, clarity and focus. Blue manna is good for brain and joint support and is high in chlorophyll. It contains fiber and is antioxidant rich, it detoxifies and cleanses and is loaded with DNA and RNA, which support gene func-tioning. Spirulina is the world’s richest source of B12 and a highly absorbable organic iron. It is a rich protein source and contains beta-carotene. Makes about 12-16 balls.
—— Ingredients —— ¼ c. spirulina, sun chlorella or crystal blue manna or bluegreen algae (or use equal parts of all four) 1 c. raw coconut oil 1 c. goji berries, loganberries or mulberries (or use 1/3 c. of each) ½ c. raw cacao nibs ½ c. raw cacao powder or raw carob powder 3 tsp. cinnamon 2 fresh vanilla beans, cut up or 2 tsp. of raw organic vanilla extract (alcohol free)

Chocolate Coconut Ganache This chocolaty, creamy treat is better than the real thing. It is the real thing. Serves 4-6.
—— Ingredients —— 1 ½ ½ ¼ 1 1
c. coconut butter or coconut oil c. dried goji berries (save a few as garnish) c. cacao powder c. cacao nibs (save a few as garnish) tsp. organic vanilla powder, or 1 pod tsp. cinnamon
½ c. raw shredded coconut (save some as garnish) ¼ c. raw honey, agave, yacon syrup or 2T. stevia (optional) ½ c. hemp seeds
Blend all ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Serve at room temperature and garnish with goji berries, cacao nibs, shredded coconut, and buckwheat kernels. You can also roll into little balls, freeze, and eat like a truffle! “If you are in love and joy, you will attract love and joy.”

Decadent Coconut Mousse This white creamy coconut treat will take you on a dream vacation. Serves 4-6.

c. raw macadamia nuts or raw cashews c. coconut butter or coconut oil medjol dates, pitted tsp. organic vanilla powder, or 1 pod tsp. cinnamon T. raw honey, agave, yacon syrup or stevia to taste (optional) to 1 c. coconut water (if needed for desired consistency).
Blend all ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Enjoy as is by the spoonful, or as a spread on crackers or green leaves. Serve with blueberries, bananas or your favorite fruit. “When I eat this, my heart sings.”

The Raw On The Roll Success System includes the following session topics: 1) The Raw Truth to the Fountain of Youth - Healthy Eating Assessment (1.5 hours.) In this session, Debbie meets with the client to discuss and assess current eating habits and lifestyle, health conditions, health goals, and the client's concerns and goals for a healthy lifestyle. This includes home visits to assist in an overhaul of the client's kitchen, working with the client to remove the processed, refined and unhealthy foods and products, and assisting the client in locating and shopping for only ripe, fresh, raw, organic foods. 2) Merrill Magic Secret Tips and Tools (1.5 hours.) This session covers how to prepare and uncook new food selections for a delectable, delicious “awesome rawsome” taste experience. The client will learn how to give the digestive system a break in stages, allowing for adjustment to new eating habits. The client learns how to eat for more energy, stamina, strength, happiness, motivation, clarity of mind, an open heart, and an overall feeling of well-being. 3) The Raw Truth Food for Life Plan, and Debbie's Top 10 Super Foods (1.5 hours.) In this session the client is walked through the components of The Raw Truth Food for Life Plan, and adjustments are made for the individual's health needs and tastes. The client is introduced to Debbie's Top 10 Super Foods, along with techniques for selecting quality sources, food storage and preparation, unique recipes for delicious raw meals, snacks, beverages, and desserts. 4) Finding Your “Inner Glow” (1.5 hours.) This session helps clients discover their own spiritual journey.

Clients create a personal journal to record and explore creative desires, emotions, wants, and needs, as well as obstacles, challenges and frustrations. Clients work to theexercises such as Forgiving, Loving, and Letting Go, and create affirmations for attracting love, prosperity, through spirit, health, joy and creativity into their daily lives.

(1.5 hours.) In this session, clients work with Debbie to explore many different types of exercise, both indoors and out, to develop a fun fitness program that is appropriate for them, with a focus on creative techniques for developing exercise as a daily habit. Debbie coaches the client in their choice of physical activity, such as In-Line Skating, Ice Skating, Dancing (all styles), Yoga, Stretching, weights, brisk walking, swimming, cycling, and “sit and get fit” for those with physical disabilities, challenges, and rehabilitation needs. 5) Coaching and Follow-up Support (1.5 hours.) These sessions are designed to be a continuation of the exploration of the client's work in earlier sessions, as well as to cover topics that fit the client's specific area of interest. Clients also receive weekly one-on-one email communication from Debbie, as she checks in to offer her support. She also shares her latest tips, tricks and picks for the best in raw resources (books, lectures, events, parties, dinners, products, and retail stores) to expand on raw lifestyle education and learning.
