DEBT REVIEW AWARDS 2014
This year (2014) will see the hosting of the first annual Debt Review Industry Awards Gala. The Debt Review Awards will be held in July of this year in the heart of Cape Town, CBD. Debtfree are helping to coordinate the red carpet event. The Gala Event will offer the debt review industry the chance to recognize the hard work done both by individuals as well as companies to improve the debt review process. Consumers, Debt Counsellors, Credit Providers, Attorneys, NCR and DTI representatives as well as Payment Distribution Agencies will all attend. Debt review is helping hundreds of thousands of consumers Recently the number of consumers applying for debt review each month has shot up dramatically as financial pressure on consumers continues to mount. Increased fuel costs, high rates of unemployment as well as poor financial management continues to haunt South African consumers. As prices go up more and more consumers are crossing the barrier from hanging in there to over-indebtedness (when you can’t pay all your debts and still provide for your families needs with the money you earn). Fortunately for hundreds of thousands of South African consumers, they have been able to take advantage of the provision of debt counselling introduced by the National Credit Act. The number of applicants is fast approaching half a million consumers. Debt Review Turns 7 in 2014 The middle of 2014 will see the debt review process turn 7 years old.
