Preschool Fun at the DISC

Play games and climb the DISC rock wall and inflatables during School’s Out Day Camp! Kids aged 5 - 13 will be well supervised during the camp day with a 8:1 student to staff ratio. Sports Sampler

Arts Perform! - Fiddler on the Roof In conjunction with the Millikin University Preparatory Department, Decatur Youth Symphony Orchestra and Dr. Neal Smith, area actors and musicians will perform the classic musical Fiddler on the Roof. Winner of 10 Tony Awards, this show has touched audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth and honesty, and is a staple of musical theatre. Two full casts of performers in grades 1 - 12 will perform. This exciting program is directed and choreographed by Marie Jagger-Taylor. Performances Dates: Friday, March 13 7 p.m. Saturday, March 14 2 p.m. & 7 p.m. Sunday, March 15 2 p.m. Tickets: $7 for reserved seating. Discover Your World This class will highlight different aspects of the world including nature, animals, and oceans. Children will take part in hands-on activities to discover the beauties of the world. Tumbling The Park District’s tumbling classes provide age appropriate instruction for youth in grades Pre K - 6. Beginners focus on flexibility and coordination, while intermediates enhance their skills.

Parent Tot Tumbling We will introduce your child to the world of tumbling in a safe and structured environment. Parks Insider Kids Fitness’ Classes at the DISC Beginning the week of February 23! Contact Elisabeth Lee, DISC Fitness Supervisor, at 429-3472 for more information. Cardio Kids Exercise has been proven to increase self-esteem and energy levels. Cardio Kids combines a cardio workout with strength and flexibility exercises for kids at an age where habits develop. Hoping to instill fitness as a way of life, this class will increase endurance and help kids enjoy fitness.

Soccer MidState Indoor 3 v 3 Futsal Tournament

February 28 & March 1 at the DISC (1295 W. Wood) Grab some friends and take part in MidState Soccer Club’s 4th Annual 3v3 Indoor Futsal Tournament. U8 - U14 boys and girls will play on February 28, and high school and adults will play on March 1. Teams have a maximum of 6 players with no goalkeeper and are guaranteed 3 games. Submit team roster/waiver and full team entry fee at the DISC by February 16!

Wrestling

An excellent fitness-training program! This class will introduce ways to build muscle, increase flexibility, improve cardiovascular health, and reduce body fat. Participants will use dumbbells and resistance bands to perform a variety of different strength exercises, in addition to learning cardio exercises. This class is designed to help teens begin an exercise routine before jumping in to the Fitness Center.

Amateur wrestlers will learn basic fundamentals, rules, and skills necessary to gain the winning edge. Sessions are offered by experienced, area wrestling coaches. Softball Winter Softball Camp This one-day camp will enhance players’ softball skills! Millikin University softball players and coaches will teach the fundamentals of throwing, catching and fielding, as well as defensive positional work for infield and outfield. Baseball Baseball Hitting and Pitching Lessons

Spring Training Baseball & T-Ball Clinic Players are divided into age groups at various skill-building stations in the full gym and batting cages. Decatur Youth Baseball & Softball 2015 Registration Information The Decatur Park District offers baseball and softball leagues for boys and girls aged 3 - 15 who have experience in the sport and are looking for a more competitive environment to grow into better ball players. Decatur Youth Baseball is affiliated with Little League and operates under their rules and regulations. The youth softball league is affiliated with Country Girls and operates under their rules and regulations.
