Youth Lacrosse Leagues - Boys & Girls, Ages 7 - 14
Storybook Adventure
The exciting fast-paced sport of lacrosse is quickly becoming a popular activity with today’s youth. The outdoor program will emphasize skill development, participation, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun. Teams will be created from the pool of registered participants. Practices and games will occur during the week. Players and volunteer coaches are needed for U9, U11, and U13 teams. Leagues will begin in March or April. Arts Perform! - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat One of the most enduring shows of all time, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s irresistible family musical is about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel’s favorite son. Directed and choreographed by Marie Jagger-Taylor, this energetic production features two full casts of performers in grades 1 - 12 and blends pop, country, and rock into an uplifting production that re-imagines the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers, and the coat of many colors. The magical musical is full of unforgettable songs, including “Go Go Go Joseph,” “Any Dream Will Do,” and “Close Every Door.” Book your tickets and be part of the magic! Soccer MidState Indoor 3 v 3 Futsal Tournament
February 27 & 28 at the DISC (1295 W. Wood) Grab some friends and take part in MidState Soccer Club’s 5th Annual 3 v 3 Indoor Futsal Tournament. U8 - U14 boys and girls will play February 27, and high school and adults will play February 28. Teams have a maximum of 6 players with no goalkeeper. Teams are guaranteed 3 games. Submit team roster/ waiver and full $125 team entry fee at the DISC by February 10!
MidState Youth Soccer League (MYSL) MidState Youth Soccer League is a non-travel league for grades K - 8, which include 6 games and 8 training sessions coached by MidState’s licensed trainers. Softball Winter Softball Camp This one-day camp will enhance players’ softball skills! Millikin University softball players and coaches will teach the fundamentals of throwing, catching and fielding, as well as defensive positional work for infield and outfield. Decatur Youth Baseball & Softball 2016 Registration Information The Decatur Park District offers baseball and softball leagues for boys and girls aged 3 - 15 who have experience in the sport and are looking for a more competitive environment to grow into better ball players. Decatur Youth Baseball is affiliated with Little League and operates under their rules and regulations. The youth softball league is affiliated with Country Girls and operates under their rules and regulations.
