Cakes.com Quick Start Guide Getting started on Cakes.com is quick and easy! The setup wizard will guide you through the process. If you can’t complete all at once, the information is saved, so you can easily pick up where you left off.

You’ll need an internet connected laptop or desktop to complete the Cakes.com setup. For detailed Cakes.com setup instructions, check out the Cake Ordering Software Manual. Create your Cakes.com Admin Account •

Visit: https://order.cakes.com/account-admin/setup

Enter your DecoPac Customer #, email address, review and accept the Terms and Conditions and click “Submit”

•

Verify your Customer Information and select ‘Yes, Continue’.

•

An email will be sent to you to verify your account information. Click the link in the email to confirm your account. You’ll be prompted to enter a password.

Use the Ordering Wizard to Setup your Cake Offering The setup wizard will walk you through each step to help you complete your cake offering. It’s simple and easy! Follow the instructions on screen, but if you get stuck, give us a call – we’re here to help!

There are a total of 12 steps involved with setting up the basic information for your Cakes.com account, divided into sections. Your progress is saved once you select ‘Next’ or ’Save’ for any of the previous information you have filled out. This allows you to stop and start as needed.

Steps 1-4 – Tell us about your Bakery 1. Bakery hours and time zone 2. Bakery holiday hours 3. Order Lead Times 4. Add your logo and a short description Steps 5-10 - Enter your Cake Offerings 5. Cake Flavors o For each flavor - select the cakes size(s) and enter any base fees 6. Cake Decoration Upcharges o For each cake decoration category- enter any upcharge fees 7. Cake Fillings o For each filling - select your cake size(s) and enter any upcharge fees 8. Cake Icing Flavors o For each icing flavor - select your cake size(s) and enter any upcharge fees 9. Cake Icing Colors o Select the icing colors you offer – settings will apply to all cake sizes 10. Cake Serving Sizes o Edit the default serving sizes, if necessary Steps 11-12 – review and confirm your information 11. Review the information you’ve entered – if everything looks good – check the “I have reviewed my settings” and click “Next”. You can edit your information and product offering anytime!

12. Start accepting orders right away or set a date you wish to begin accepting orders.

Tips & Tricks •

Add your most popular cake offerings to start. You can add more options, including new products, custom cake designs, additional flavors, fillings and frosting (icing) options anytime!

Review your product offering regularly. DecoPac releases new products all the time! You’ll see alerts at the top of the screen when we add or discontinue products – click the links to update your product offering. o You can also check out the Bakery Cakes - Cake Designs and Bakery Cakes – Discontinuations to review and change your product offering o Hint – you can select to include all NEW products by default. Go to Store Information Online – click “edit” and update the New Cake Inclusion option to “Include all new cakes by default”

Upload your bakery logo! The logo can be in .gif, .jpg or .png format, and should be 200 pixels wide by 200 pixels high. If your bakery does not have a logo, the default Cakes.com logo will be displayed.

If you wish to offer a Decoration, Filling or Frosting Flavor at no extra cost, simply keep the price at $0.00. This will allow the consumer to select the option at no additional charge.

You can add additional email addresses to receive notifications of cake orders – My User Profile – click “edit” and add additional contacts and emails to receive notifications when cake orders are submitted.

Need to adjust your status for accepting orders online? Go to Store Information – Online - click “edit” and you can change the Online Orders options to start or stop accepting online orders.
