hat you see is what you get! After three years the Golden Ten auction has obtained a permanent place on our calenders. The special formula to sell a specially selected groups of pigeons from several champion colonies from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, in one hall auction, is unique in the racing pigeon world. With an average of almost €3000 per bird, last year’s edition 2014 proved this formula is well appreciated and the interest is world wide. Many visitors were happy to be able to handle direct descendants of the absolute world top and have a chat with the champions themselves. Twenty renowned champions from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands present eight birds each, from the best they have in their lofts. Most of them are well established names and the same as last year’s edition, however some new, spectacular names will make their first appearance in our auction and will have a chance to present to you the best of their lofts. Also this year there will once again be some record birds in the auction. If the signs are right, this auction promises to be a massive event once again and you are assured of two days full of ambiance and top quality birds! The third edition of the “GOLDEN TEN” will take place Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of November, again in Hotel Nobis in Asten, the Netherlands. This is a central location that is easily reached via the highway AntwerpenEindhoven-Düsseldorf. It’s also possible to spend the night here. he ‘Harry’ dynasty from Jan Hooymans is conquering the world... because so many fanciers have already been successful with descendants of the super couple ‘Jonge Bliksem’ x ‘Dirkje’. In 2015, some of the exponents of this were 1st National Chateauroux against 25,710 yearlings (Rik Hermans) and 1st NPO Souppes-sur-Loing against 3,609 pigeons (Gerard Koopman) with two grandchildren of the “Harry’. The Harry’s keep performing magni�icently well in Jan’s own loft too, with every year a few high points in the form of NPO victories. It was of course the same story in 2015, when Jan and his team won 1st NPO Bourges against 4,813 pigeons (with ‘Alyda’, who had already won 8th NPO Blois against 6,613 pigeons and who is a daughter of the ‘Alexia’ a of sister ‘Harry’) and 1st (with ‘Marus’, son of ‘Broer Harry’) and 2nd (with ‘Alex’, son of ‘Alexia’) N.U. Argenton against 1,730 pigeons, as well as the two fastest of 2,916 pigeons. And these besides a nice series like 8-18-32-59-65-70th NPO Blois against 6,613 pigeons and 10-32-48-49-60-63-93rd NPO Bourges against 5,177 birds. In short, once again a top season for the Harry’s from Jan Hooymans!

ing Emperor Andre Roodhooft has been concentrating very successfully on the long middle-distance the last couple of years.
Last season, this resulted in among others in 1st National La Souterraine with both old and young pigeons, Olympiad pigeon yearlings Budapest 2015, as well as 3rd and 4th National Ace pigeon yearlings long middledistance and best yearling of Belgium in 5-6-7 national races! This season, Andre is continuing in the same style and soon he will be crowned winner 1st National Ace pigeon long middle-distance old pigeons. He is also a likely candidate for a top classi�ication in the national championship long middle-distance! And �inally, ‘naturally’, he is King and Emperor Union Antwerp again and for the 16th and 9th time!

or years and years now, Gunter has been alone at the top in the German pigeon sport. He has won National championships and ace pigeons by the dozen... and many sporting friends have become champions with his pigeons! His ‘Ringlose’ is a household name in the German pigeon sport and abroad... and with ‘Der 261’ (10x 1st and grandson ‘Ringlose’) and his ‘520’ (7x 1st... 4x 2nd and inbred grandson ‘Ringlose’) he has once more two of the very best. After two ‘sabbatical years’ Gunter plans to pick up the thread again in 2016. And that promises guaranteed �ireworks again.

or has built a unique breed around his world famous ‘Klamper’ (Lazeroms/ Aarden). A breed that does not shy away from hard work... and that doesn’t lose any strength when inbred, on the contrary! Without doubt, this ‘Klamper’ is one of the most dominant pigeons in the history of the overnight long-distance! Cor strings together the national top performances... victories and championships... and in 2014 this was no different with among others 1st National St. Vincent against 9,672 pigeons (‘Marianne’)... 6th and 32nd International Barcelona against 21,169 pigeons... the best international Barcelona pigeon over 2013-2014 (‘Naomi’), and the 1st National Ace pigeon Barcelona 20122014 (‘Jonge Don Michel’)! Could it get any better? Yes it could! or many years now, Danny has been one of the best middle-distance racers, especially with young pigeons. The previous years this resulted in among others 1st, 2nd and 3rd National Champion and 1-4-5-5-7-7-8th National Ace pigeon middle-distance young pigeons KBDB. 2015 was another magni�icent year, up till now resulting in the 1st General Championship middle-distance Union Antwerp with ) the 1st Championship in 11 of the 12 categories (old pigeons-yearlings-young pigeons 1-2-3-4 nominated!
Undoubtedly we will see Danny again in the various national championships 2015, with both old and young pigeons!
It is already well known that the Kanon breed also succeeds well with other fanciers. Vermeerbergen-Wilms bred the best young pigeon of Belgium 2014 (5 and 6 races) out of Zoon Kanon, and this year a full sister �inished 2nd National Chateauroux against 10,442 pigeons again, behind one of her loft companions. erard Koopman is one of the founders of the modern pigeon sport. With great regularity, he wins a rarely seen chain results and has won dozens of NPO and national victories.
All of this is done with pigeons out of the basis Janssen/Van Loon, crossed with the ‘Golden Lady’ (daughter ‘Kannibaal’ from Dirk Van Dyck), supplemented with the very best of several other stars. Gerard is always searching for better or even best... and it is no longer possible to count how many other fanciers have been successful with his Koopman breed! Gerard has been at the top for decades, and some of his biggest successes of the last few years are certainly the Olympiades in Nitra 2013 (long-distance with ‘Jerson’) and Budapest 2015 (middle-distance with ‘Kyara’). s long as Dirk has been participating in the long middle-distance, he has won at least one provincial every year (1st Provincial Montlucon and 1st Provincial Salbris 2012... 1st Provincial / 1st Zone / 2nd National Chateauroux 2013... 1st Provincial / 1st Zone / 3rd National Gueret 2013... 1st National Bourges 2014... and 1st Provincial Bourges against 2,228 yearlings in 2015, as well as 5th National). But Dirk’s passion is still the speed and short middle-distance races and especially on the short middle-distance he realized a super season, with two super pigeons (one old pigeon and a yearling) that are both competing for the title of national Ace pigeon short middle-distance! At the Olympiad in Nitra Dirk impressed with the ‘Olympic Niels’ (son new sire ‘Di Caprio’)... and this same ‘Niels’ is proving himself more and more as a top breeder, and in 2015 he became grandfather of the 1st National Chateauroux for Rik Hermans.

o and Piet race with a relatively small number of pigeons... but each year, they succeed in �inishing among the champions. As they did in 2015, where they ended as 1st Provincial Champion Middle-distance not nominated... 2nd Provincial Champion speed nominated, and 3rd Provincial Champion General nominated (without participating in overnight races). And without any doubt, they will also have their place at the top nationally again!
As per usual, Co and Piet have a real topper in their lofts every year (for instance the ‘Marchino’, 1st Best Cock WHZB and the ‘Anita’, 1st and 4th Best Hen WHZB). In 2015, Co and Piet won among others 1st NPO Bourges against 5,181 pigeons with the ‘Milo’, and 1st Provincial Pont St. Max against 4,331 pigeons with their new super hen ‘Samantha’, who is going to �inish in the top in the various national ace pigeon championships and who is up to now already 1st Ace pigeon middle-distance and 1st Ace pigeon speed/middle-distance the Netherlands (4 + 10 races, Pipa ranking)!
And that the Verbree pigeons are also successful outside Putten, is proved once more by the super pigeon from Johan Halman (in 2015 1st Provincial Quievrain against 12,994 pigeons... 1st NPO Sens against 8,211 pigeons... 1st NPO Souppes against 6,886 pigeons), who’s father is 50% Verbree (out of son ‘Olympic Orlando’).

With the National Chateauroux victory and 6x 1st provincial, 2014 was a year that can’t be equaled.
In 2015 Jos and Lars won among others 1st Provincial Issoudun against 347 old pigeons / 1st National Zone against 615 pigeons and 2nd National against 2,212 birds... 1st Provincial Chateauroux against 290 old pigeons / 1st National Zone against 474 pigeons (fastest of 3,421 old and young birds) and 2nd National against 1,987 pigeons... 5th and 9th National Chateauroux against 25,710 yearlings... 16th National Gueret against 16,262 yearlings... 39-74-83rd National Tulle against 8,621 yearlings... 15th National Bourges against 14,496 yearlings... 23-58-75th National Argenton against 2,418 yearlings and in almost every race starting with a top 100 national! They are stringing the provincial and NPO victories together, and their super couple ‘Superboy’ x ‘Dochter 666’ is one of a kind! Also nationally, they ruled from the long-distance... what to think of 1st, 4th and 10th National Ace pigeon long-distance NPO 2011 and 2nd National Ace pigeon one day Longdistance WHZB 2012 (with ‘Ace Girl’) and 3rd National Ace pigeon long-distance NPO 2012 (with ‘Ablis Boy’). Besides this, they have won over 20 x 1st provincial / 1st NPO since 2009! uc is without doubt one of the very best (long) middle-distance racers in Belgium of recent years. He keeps stringing the provincial and zonal victories together and this is largely due to his stock couple ‘Lucas’ x ‘Conny’. It all started with the ‘Super Tours’, a direct son who became 1st provincial / 2nd national Ace pigeon long middle-distance KBDB 2011. In 2012, Luc won 4th national Ace pigeon... and in 2014 he had the best pigeon of Belgium in four national races in his loft (moral winner 1st National Ace pigeon long middle-distance KBDB). 2015 became another fantastic year with 2nd National Ace pigeon yearlings long middle-distance and 4th and 14th National Ace old pigeons long middle-distance KBDB (preliminary classi�ication). n 2008, Kees Bosua sold all his pigeons He only kept a round of late youngsters. In 2009, he managed straight away to become 1st Provincial Champion young pigeons... and ever since, he has been steadily building up a new top colony.

For Koen 2012 was a real super year, with among others 1-10-14-18th NPO Pithiviers against 5,015 pigeons... 1-4th NPO Chateauroux against 3,238 pigeons... 1st Provincial Champion Middle-distance and so on.
If possible, 2013 was an even better year... with his super crack ‘Geeloog’ Koen won among others 1st NPO (middle-distance) Pithiviers against 6,340 pigeons... 1st NPO La Souterraine against 3,077 pigeons... and 1st NPO Chateauroux against 2,227 birds, thereby becoming 1st Dutch Ace pigeon All-round Europa Cup 2013. hen Marc Bosmans and Dirk Leekens began to combine forces, they never dreamed that success would follow so quickly! With the purchase of Olympiad pigeon ‘Triple Ace’, Marc and Dirk hit bull’s eye... and in ‘no time’ he proved to be a super breeder, crossed against the old stock breed from Dirk (Milton/Lucky Luke) with the ‘Kannibalen’ line.
2014 was a ‘grand cru’ (superior quality) year with 1st National Chateauroux against 5,884 pigeons... 2nd National Tours against 3,947 pigeons... 1st Provincial Gien against 4,721 birds... 1st Provincial La Souterraine against 1,479 pigeons... 3x 1st Semi-provincial... 2nd National Champion short middle-distance yearlings... 1st Provincial Champion yearlings... 3rd Provincial Ace pigeon long-distance young pigeons and so on! In 2015 they repeated this performance, with as high point 1st Provincial Gueret against 1,210 old pigeons (1st Interprovincial against 2,625 pigeons and 4th National against 12,516 pigeons)... 14x top Provincial... 32x prize... 1st champion old and young pigeons Fondclub Paal... 4th Provincial champion old pigeons Limburgse Fondclub and more. And lastly, just before the start of the season, Dirk gave a young pigeon to a beginner in their club, Jimmy Cardinaels, and that pigeon became the top candidate for 1st Provincial Ace pigeon young KBDB Limburg straight away!

he last couple of years Luc and Hilde have made a habit of winning nationally whenever they have the chance! After 1st National Poitiers in 2013 (against 13,135 yearlings) and 2014 (against 14,109 yearlings and fastest of 26,486 birds), they succeeded in winning nationally again in 2015 with 1-6-31-65th National La Souterraine against 9,760 young and fastest of 12,308 pigeons! In 2015, they also won 1st and 2nd National Zone Chateauroux against 2,208 pigeons... 1st and 2nd National Zone / 2nd and 7th National La Souterraine against 4,161 old pigeons and 1st and 2nd National Zone / 4th and 5th National La Souterraine against 6,205 yearlings... What a super year! In Moorslede, pigeons rarely leave their loft... but the 12-086 from Kati Lippens (direct Sioen) is a real super racer and for that matter already father of the 1st Provincial Gueret against 1,769 pigeons!

ince 2013 Michel Verweij and Peter de Haan (successor of Jan Castricum) formed a combination that has shot to the longdistance top like a comet. In 2014, they won among others 1st Provincial Perpignan and in 2015 they became with �lying colours Champion Noord- and Zuid-Holland and 1st Champion ZLU nominated Noord-Holland. eter had already been at the top in Germany for many years and when he started to look for a new challenge, three years ago, he took up racing with pigeons in the Netherlands. And in ‘no time’ at all, he found himself there at the national top too. In three years, he won numerous ďż˝irst prizes... 28x teletext (top 10 NPO) and also One day long-distance champion in Rayon 9 three years in a row. And nationally he belongs to the stars as well. In 2013, he became 1st National Champion speed (not nominated) and 4th National Champion Long-distance (nominated)... in 2014 he became 2nd and 6th National Champion Long-distance (not nominated and loft) and in 2015, Peter became 1st National Champion nominated on the Long-distance! Furthermore, he has already represented the Netherlands at the Olympiad in Budapest (2nd long-distance) and he became 1st runner-up Gouden Duif the Netherlands 2014. ather and son Verkerk have certainly found their rhythm again after their move from Alphen to Reeuwijk. They are lonely at the top and every year their performances are even getting better and better... and where it will end, nobody knows! Early in May, at the Olympiade in Budapest, they were present with no less than three pigeons (1x long-distance and 2x old ones), which makes a total in their career of 12 Olympiade pigeons! Their 2015 season knew many high points, of which the most important results were 1-4-5-6th Nanteuil against 12,543 pigeons (1-5-6-7th fastest Provincial against 31,438 birds)... 1-2-3-4-6-9th NPO Vierzon against 11,506 pigeons... 1-3-6th NPO Bourges against 9,742 pigeons... 3-45-9-13-14th National Chateauroux against 37,571 birds and so on!
Other fanciers are also very successful with the Verkerk pigeon... like Combination Verbree (1st NPO Bourges against 5,181 pigeons in 2015), but also the Combination Lin... Maarten

or Rik 2015 was a fantastic year with old pigeons, yearlings and young birds, from the start early on in May until the end of August!
It all began with 1st, 2nd and 3rd fastest Souppes pigeons of Antwerp (west) against some 8,500 pigeons... followed by among others the 1st National Chateauroux against 25,710 yearlings and fastest of 44,314 pigeons... 8th National Montlucon and it ended in August with among others 6x top 100 National Bourges (59-74th National against 9,256 old pigeons... 12-84th National against 14,196 yearlings and 34-85th National against 36,307 young birds) and a spectacular result in the National Argenton (5-30th National against 1,759 old pigeons... 9-19th National against 2,418 yearlings and 10-13-15-28th National against 11,223 young pigeons)! The total count of 2015 is 15x 1st prize and 22x top 100 (of which 9x top 20) national!
