Sisterhood
Jackie Zelkowitz
It is hard to believe that we are already at the beginning of November, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Sisterhood has so many things to be thankful for. First and foremost, Sisterhood is thankful for the generous, thoughtful and hardworking members who work throughout the year to make Congregation Beth Shalom a little bit better with each thing they do, no matter how large or how small. We are thankful for all of the guidance and friendship of the clergy who are here for us 24/7. We are thankful for the dedication and hard work of the entire CBS staff. We are thankful for each of our Sisterhood officers, committee members, volunteers and our members for their creativity, dedication, and friendship.

If you have not had the opportunity to meet Rabbi Chapman yet, this is a fantastic opportunity to meet him in a less formal setting. Torah Fund is the dedicated philanthropy of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism which supports scholarships and programs in the worldwide Conservative/Masorti institutes of higher Jewish learning. Over the last 79 years, Torah Fund has raised nearly $108 million. Thank you to Jody Sigal for arranging this event and for all of her hard work on getting us closer to our Torah Fund goal donation for the year.
