Magnetic L-Blocks 玩具 / Toy Academic Work 2015
这是一个带有磁性的积木玩具。它一共由 16 个小木块组成,这 16 个小木块 可以合成一个边长为 8cm 的正方体。小木块的每个表面之下都安装了圆形的 磁铁,因此可以组合成许多不同的形状。每个木块都由胡桃木和梣木以 45 度 的切角粘合,从而能够创造不同纹路的组合。在木材的选择上考虑了两种木 头的单位重量,保证了每个木块的均匀质感。 This is a magnetic block toy made by 16 small blocks, which can form a large 8x8x8cm cube. There are sphere magnets installed under the surfaces, so one can play to configure various shapes and forms. Each block is made by walnut and ash with a 45-degree cut, as to create different patterns. The unit weights are taken into consider when choosing the woods ino rder to keep the pieces even.

组成 / Composition
这个积木玩具可以被分解为 8 个小立方体或者 16 个 L 形的木块,大的立方体尺寸是 8x8x8cm,容易 操控,小正方体则可以握在手掌心,所以这个尺寸即使对小朋友来说也是非常合适的。 1 Large Cube = 8 Small Cubes = 16 L-Blocks. The large cube is 8x8x8 cm, which is very easy to manipulate even for children. For the small cubes, one can easily hold them in the palm, and one can choose how many cube for playing.

以互补为一个小正方体。每个木块单元里都置入了 16 个球形磁铁,之所以使用球形磁铁是因为它的磁极能 够根据需要转动调整, 这样能够保证任意两个木块的 任意面都可以吸引到一起。 Basic views for single block from different sides are all “L”. There are 16 sphere magnets in one unit. Woods with different color to make it more stimulating and also able to creat pattterns. Auto-reoriented sphere magnet allows the blcoks attract to each other freely instead of being limited by a fixed pole.

Play by Orientations 幼儿园 / Kindergarten Academic Work 2016
设计位于香港深水涉,这个区域的建筑密度很高,为了能够提供更充足的空 间和更好风景,幼儿园被放在居民楼的楼顶上。在概念上使用了上一个玩具 设计的基本单元,通过组合多个基本单元之后再做调整来创造空间。 The site is in ShamShuiPo, Hong Kong, a highly dense living area. In order to bring a better condition for children who live here, the kindergarten is put on a building's top. The toy's units from last design are utilized and combined to be the kindergarten's space, because each piece of the toy can generate three orientations.

基地环境 / Site Context 这块区域十分拥挤,住在这边的小朋友没有多少 玩乐的空间。这边的幼儿园多数只是安排在住宅 楼底,没有户外的活动空间,而且外面的街道也 比较脏乱。如果在住宅楼的楼顶建一个幼儿园, 就能够给小朋友一个充足的玩乐和学习的空间, 并且享受到香港的山景。

The streets in this neighborhood are full of stores and stalls and they are quite crowded. Kindergartens in this area are mostly sitting at the bottom of the buildings. Outside the kindergarten are chaotic streets, and no outdoor space for playing in the kindergarten. My idea is to create a kindergarten on the top of the building to bring more space and better environment for children. And instead of seeing building around, on the top, children can enjoy mountain views in the distance.

在这个设计中,积木玩具(上一个设计)里的单元被重新使用。因为这个单元具有三个方向,所以当组合多个单元的时候能够制造出一个 充满方向性的空间。每个积木单元作为一个班级的空间,内部划分不同的楼层以楼梯连接,不同的单元之间也在许多楼层连接,让小朋友 在充满方向和选择的空间里寻找、玩耍。 When considering make a kindergarten which is full of orientations for playing, I try to use the unit of my block toy (last design) to create the space. As you can see each unit has three orientations so that we can get a space with bounded orientations when we combining more pieces.

这组连续的剖面从左往右以 5-10m 的间距来绘制,能够看到从左到右空间的变化体现在许多方面,比如层数、层高、楼梯的位置、窗户的高度等。每个区域 的层数在 2-4 层之间,层高(包括通高区域)的变化则在 2.4m-6.5m 之间。楼梯的方位不固定,不同单元之间或连接或封闭,从而营造方向的不确定性。 窗户的位置或可坐或为高窗,或与其它空间产生视觉联系。 The section series shows how the space changes from left to right. The space differentiate from several aspects like floor number, floor height, stairs location, window's height. Each unit gets 2-4 floors, and the floor height is between 2.5 to 6.5m. The stairs locations are not fixed through one spot, they change from floor to floor, spot to spot. Different units are connected or seperated depend on floor levels. As windows are opened on defferent heights, some may be the height one can sit on, some may opened near to the ceiling to allow sunlight get in.

Art Bridge 社区艺术中心 / Community Art Centre Academic Work 2015
基地位于多伦多市西面的劳伦斯高地,这块区域被一条下沉式的高速公路所 分隔开,几十年来只能通过几座桥相连。设计通过在高速公路西侧建造社区 的艺术中心来找寻增强这块被分隔区域的联系的机会,在这里艺术中学被设 计为半下沉的低矮体量并以坡度引导视线和空间向对侧延伸,从其中一个坡 道延伸的桥将艺术中心和对面的公园连接在了一起。建筑的外立面朝向了高 速公路并稍稍出挑,旨在寻找高速公路两侧除单调水泥墙之外的可能性。 The site is located in the west Lawrence Height of Toronto, which is divided by Allen Road, a sunkun express way built a few decades ago. The Art Centre I design in this area is treated to be a lower massing with several ramps facing the other side. One of the ramps is connecting a bridge which pedestrian can acess to the park on the opposite. The building's facade faces to the high way, trying to create a special view instead of monotonous concrete wall along road.

多伦多市西部的艾伦道是一条下沉式的高速公路, 所以自从它建设以来,便长期地对道路两侧的区 域联系在很大程度上造成阻碍。本次设计的基地 就位于艾伦道的西侧,基地的对面是一个公园, 因此如何用建筑修复和重新连接这块区域成为设 计切入点。 Allen Road is a express way in the west of Toronto. Since it being built, it seperated the west and east part along the Allen Road, because it created a gap in this area. The site of this project is located on the west side of Allen Road, with a park on the opposite site. The starting point is how to overcome the the concerns of seperation due to Allen Road.

Loft MegaPot 建筑类型研究 / Architectrual Typology Study Academic Work 2014
此次设计要求选择一种建筑和一种景观类型进行研究,我选择了“轻工业建筑” 和“小路”作为我的研究对象。通过研究它们的类型、组成和特点,探索它 们组合的可能性,最后引入了盆栽的概念完成了“厂房”与小路的组合。 This studio project request us to select a building type and a landscape type for our research. By researching their characteristics and exploring the possibilities of combination, I introduce the "MegaPot" concept to complete this design work.

渭南市民俗文化中心 Weinan Folk Culture Center 博物馆 + 剧场 / Museum and Theatre Academic Work 2014
基地位于陕西省渭南市的一块老城区,建筑多为 2-3 排列密集的民房。设计 保留了基地内一部分原有的房屋还有一条斜向的小路,而部分新建的建筑被 架在原有的建筑之上。在功能上通过设置展览、剧场、商业、广场等功能, 让建筑无论在白天或者晚上都拥有它的角色。保留下来的建筑在底层作为创 意集市使用,通过灵活和敞开的空间给建筑带来活力。 The site is located in an old district of Weinan. Keeping some of the old housed and a lane remained, part of the new construction is built above the old houses. For the function, exhibition, theatre, plaza and commercial space are going to keep it active through day and night instead of being using during the day then becomes quiet at night. The preserved houses are rennovated to be creation loft with studios, stores and bars to bring dynamic atmosphere to this area.

基地位于城区内一块颇有年代感的区域,建筑的屋顶皆为瓦片的坡屋顶。该 社区居住的条件较差,因为空间有限,原有的建筑不能满足现在生活的需求, 很多居民都占用了门外的巷子作为生活的空间,因此也成为城市中无人问津 的一块地。设计通过组织屋顶上栈道和置入新的社区元素来优化社区空间, 同时也吸引人们进入这块区域。 The site is an old district with the city. Though the buildings have impressive tile roof, the living condition and space is quite limited. The design is going to reactivate this area through adding plank road along the roof, to bring attractive views to people and also by adding new space to it to make it a better place for living.

概念引入 / Concept Introducing 栈道是国画中的一个元素,它沿山而上,依着山 形山势或起伏或拐折,引导着观者在画中行走, 作者想要表达的意境便在栈道的起伏折拐之间传 达着。如栈道被引至建筑,瓦片、屋檐与墙身则 可成为营造另一种行走感受与风景的元素。 Plank road is a familiar element in traditional Chinese paintings. It built along the mountain, goinging up and down, turning in and out according to the mountain's transforming. The plank road is actually guiding people when they looking at the painting and usually the artistic conception is conveyed at the same time. When plank road is introduced to the buildings here, the tiles, eaves and the walls might create another walking experience.

此设计位于厦门理工学院校园内,为一个综合的学生中心,功能包括商业、 学习研究、办公、学生活动等。在形式上,通过模拟周边村落的形态,以众 多中小体量的空间错落地聚合,达到一种充满可能性的具有互动感的“穿梭性” 空间。在功能上,通过将不同功能的学生使用空间“随机”组合,希望可以 呈现出更有活力和多样化的氛围。 This is a campus complex in Xiamen University of Technology. Its function includes use of commercial and official, study, activity, etc. I call it "campus town", because its form comes from the nearby village. The form consist of lots of medium and small massings, to create active space with yards and passages.

建筑在形式上看似由许多方块堆叠起来的空间,但是的平面类型却有好几种,以满足不同的空间需求。单个方形的空间可以作为小 型的商业空间;长方行的平面则可以作为自习室实验室等;灵活的 L 型空间可以在不同时候满足不同的需求,比较适合学生活动类 的空间;大型方形平面作为高层办公楼的基本平面使用;环形的平面则用在展览馆上。
Different plan types are serving different functions here. The concentric square plan can be used for small commercial spaces; long rectagular plan can be used for spaces like labtory, study room etc; The L shaple plan is flexible for student activities; large square plan is for high-rise office building and the annular plan is for the museum.

Illuminance of Inclusiveness 灯塔酒店 / Light House Hotel Competition 2015
基地位于意大利一处海边,基地范围内保留着废弃的灯塔。建筑的形式以包 围着灯塔的圆环为出发点,使每个空间均能够朝向灯塔而获得某种精神意义 上的的归属感。圆环的形式低矮,希望不破坏开阔的海岸线形态。在入口处 部分的建筑体量被抬起,接近海的一侧则被处理成斜坡从而使得视线能够穿 过建筑到达远处的海面。 This is a hotel located in a seaside of Italy. A loop-like building circles the preserved light house buildings, to create a sense of belonging under it. With a rather low height, the building is blending to the topography of the seaside. The side closing to the sea is pushing down to allow the sea view to get to the hotel.

Basic Form
The notion of this Project is to generate a dialogue between the landscape and lighthouse itself. We try to redefine the lighthouse in new era. The hotel is defined as circular ring shape to give a symbiosis with existing lighthouse. Water is filling the gap between light house and the hotel, because we believe the hotel should be the cathedral of lighthouse. A three-meter wide circular timber deck is set around the water side to provides visitors with a waterside pavilion.
Central Lake The hotel is divided into three parts: 1. A small museum on the left side. 2. A hotel with 50 rooms and common rooms occupied 1/3 of the total area. 3. Landscape and roof garden. Timber Deck

平面与流线 / Plan and Circulation The building is a pure ring if looking from above. The western part of the ring is lifted up, functioning the main entrance of the hotel. The eastern part of the ring, which is close to the sea, is pressed down to frame a pleasant platform, as a viewing spot, for visitors to enjoy the majestic scenery. The upper roof of the ring hotel is accessible from several ramps root at the ground floor.
