WEEKEND PERMANENT TEE TIMES Our Permanent Tee Times Play in 4 hours or Less…or Else! During the regular golf season, there are times available each Saturday and Sunday for permanent tee time groups starting at 5:30 a.m. Permanent Pace of Play: One of the most important services Deerfield Golf Club provides its patron is the ability to play a round of golf in a reasonable time period. Our weekend Permanent Pace of Play program is rigidly enforced for everyone’s benefit and enjoyment. Players teeing off prior to 7 a.m. must complete their rounds in 3 hours, 50 minutes or less, tee off before 9 a.m. and have 4 hours to finish. Those with late tee times prior to 11 a.m. will finish in no longer than 4 hours, 10 minutes or less. Visit our web site for more information. Permanent tee time applications and a fee of $260 ($65 per person) starting time application fee must be submitted to the golf course or to the Jewett Park Community Center, no later than March 3. Applications are being accepted during regular business hours at both the golf course and at the Jewett Park Community Center. Representatives from the course will also be on hand Saturdays, February 21 and 28, from 9 a.m. to Noon, at the golf course to accept passes and applications. Golf Passes and pre-paid tickets for the 2015 season can be purchased at both the golf course and the Jewett Park Community Center at any time. Our Permanent Tee Time drawing will be held at the Deerfield Golf Club, 1201 Saunders Road, on Wednesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. Only one application may be submitted for each foursome, and no one name may be submitted on more than one application. The $260 starting time application fee must be paid in full and will be refunded if a starting time is not received. Regularly scheduled Permanent Starting Times begin on April 11 and end September 13. Tee Time Cancellation Policy: Please keep in mind that the use of substitute players is encouraged. If unable to play, individuals and / or groups should cancel their tee time at least 24 hours in advance. There is no penalty for cancellations. If a player fails to cancel their individual tee time within 24 hours prior to scheduled play and does not play, they will be considered a “No Show” and the individual will incur a charge for a “No Show Fee” equal to the current Resident 18 Hole Greens Fee. A valid credit card number must be submitted for each member of a starting time group. Any “No Show Fees” will be automatically charged to the individual’s credit card on file. All “No Show Fees” are considered a cash sale. Exceptions to the “No Show Fee” are as follows: • When weather conditions warrant “Cart Paths Only.” • When there has been a frost or lightning delay in the morning. • When there has been 3/10 of an inch of precipitation overnight measured at the club in the morning.

The Deerfield Golf Club and Learning Center’s 9 hole league will play on Wednesdays with tee times between 3:15 and 4:30 p.m.

ur Learning Center is unlike any other. Deerfield boasts private and group lessons and has assembled one of Illinois’ highest rated instructional teams.

The best way to ensure success in golf is with private one on one instruction from one of our team of LPGA and PGA of America Golf Professionals. Our “State of the Art” golfer development programs are designed to maximize your potential and dramatically improve your game through lessons.

We have developed a state-of-the-art golfer development instructional program that sets the standard. Our instructors tailor a program to meet each individual’s needs, goals and time availability in order to improve your game. Our programs focus on every aspect of golf: full swing, chipping, pitching, putting, bunker play, mental preparation, fitness, physiology and golf course strategy. We use the latest in video swing analysis to assist in your understanding of your lessons.

Range Balls are included in all lesson fees, ½ hour and series discounts are available you should contact your instructor for details. Instructor

Tiny Tykes is a program specifically designed for children ages 3 to 5 years old. This program teaches kids the very basic fundamentals of golf in a game oriented atmosphere. As US Kids Certified Golf Instructors we are aware of the challenges that come with teaching kids of this age, and have put together a curriculum that keeps kids of all ages engage and focus through fun and exciting game based activities. We will have the kids learn basic fundamentals of chipping, putting, and full swing. This class is designed for an adult to accompany the child for each session.

Parents participate in this continuing adult and child combination class. Start Smart Golf, Level 2 builds upon the basics learned in the beginner class. Junior sized golf clubs and balls are introduced to the students using fun and developmentally appropriate learning methods.

Enroll early, classes fill quickly Junior Tee Level Ages 10 to 16 #485012 This program, taught by our LPGA and PGA Professionals meets twice weekly. This course introduces students to the basic fundamentals of the full swing, putting and chipping. Learning the basic fundamentals along with on course play is a great way for any junior to get started. Participants completing this section are encouraged to participate in the Junior Golf 1/2 Day Camps or Junior Golf Full Day Camps.

Little Linksters Golf League Ages 6 to 10 #485020 With the basics under their belt, the next step is to experience play on the golf course. Children graduating from Start Smart Golf, Level 3 move to the course with the Little Linksters Golf League. Parents participate by caddying for their child. PGA Junior League Golf League -#485021 This is the first phase in our competitive junior golf developmental series. This league is modeled after other youth sports, giving kids an opportunity to play in a non-threatening competitive format. The format is a two player scramble where the kids are playing for the team, no individual score is recorded. The parents play an intricate part in this program as we ask them to pitch in and become coaches and scorekeepers. This fun ½-day golf camp, is designed for junior golfers ages 8 to 14 who what to learn the basics of putting, chipping, pitching, bunkers and on-course instruction. Just a reminder, participants must have their own golf clubs. Upon completion junior golfers are encouraged to play in our Junior Golfer Development League.

This full day golf camp is more intense and practice is taken more seriously than in our other junior golf programs. The course meets for 6.5 hours a day and covers all aspects of golf. This instruction will prepare a junior golfer for competitive golf. In this level, students will play on the golf course during the class days. Daily snacks, lunch, and weekly prizes are provided. Deerfield Warrior Junior Travel Golf Team If one of your juniors goals is to possibly play golf at the high school level, our Deerfield Warrior Junior Golf Travel Team is for you. This is a great way for Junior Golfers to prepare for competition at the Junior, High School and even College levels. Teams meet twice a week for practice and play a Monday tournament round each week. During the spring and fall, tournament rounds are moved to Saturday or Sunday.

JUNIOR GOLFER DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE #485003 This (9) nine hole league is designed to develop all the skills needed to golf. • Weekly on course (9) nine holes of play.

Players on our Warriors Junior Golf Team are encouraged to practice and play as often as time allows, for that to happen a yearly golf pass is essential (not required) and is recommended.

• I nstead of just score, we will use a weekly point system for our Junior Golfers. Players will receive points for on course successes such at hitting the fairway with their tee shot and only using two putts when on the green. This system will emphasize the skills needed to lower their overall scores and in process make them better golfers.

Our travel team juniors will play competitive events at Deerfield Golf Club and other Northshore golf courses as part of the North Shore Junior Golf Tour. Team members receive practice balls at all sessions, instruction by the PGA of America professional staff at Deerfield.

• Play will be with our family golf rules, and on the PGA Family tee system installed at Deerfield in 2013. All players will be evaluated several times throughout the season and will play from the appropriate set of tees for their age and ability.

Scoring Zone Golf School Nearly 70% of the game of golf is played from within 100 yards of the hole. The quickest and most effective way to consistently lower your score is by improving your game in the Red Zone. Your short game includes putting, pitching, chipping, finesse wedge and bunker play. In this program you will not only learn the proper fundamentals to perform the shots, but also effective practice techniques and drills to reinforce those fundamentals.

WOMEN’S PROGRAMS Complimentary Ladies Instruction These clinics, led by our LPGA and PGA of America Golf Professionals, will concentrate on golf as a whole with lessons geared especially for women. The clinics are open to any interested women and are held on Tuesdays following our ladies leagues to allow for easy participation in leagues and instruction. All clinics start at 1 p.m.

Taught by LPGA Professional Trena McDaniel, learn the skills and knowledge to Break 100,90 or 80. Each student is mentored one-on-one with computerized video technology. You will receive unlimited access to your videos, which allow you to review instruction and drills long after you leave the school.
