INDOOR SPRING SWIM LESSONS

General Information for Swim Lessons

Sachs Recreation Center has a four lane, 20-yard indoor pool. Group and Private Swim Lessons are available. Register for swim classes at JPCC or at SRC, by mail, online, or by fax. Participants are allowed one make-up class during the session. The Illinois Department of Public Health requires that all children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers and tight fitting rubber/ vinyl pants under swim suits. This rule will be strictly enforced. We take the following COVID precautions to ensure a safe experience for your swimmers. • All instructors wear a face covering throughout the lessons. • Instructors teach from a safe 6’ distance on deck; entering the water when necessary. • Swimmers will have their own lane on their side of the pool. • Swimmers will have a designated changing area on deck to get swim ready. • Class sizes are limited to 1 instructor to 3 swimmers max based on like ability. • Increased ventilation with expelling vents and limited people allowed on deck.

Starbabies (Parent and Tot)

Play games, sing songs, learn how to hold baby, and move through weekly skill progressions. Class designed to teach parent and child how to go underwater and begin learning to swim. Location: Sachs Recreation Ctr Age: 6 months – 3 yrs Instructor: Staff - TBA

Starfish Swim Lessons

Open to all levels. Swimmers will be placed in like skill level group at the first lesson. Each class will work on the four key strokes in swimming, as well as water skills like going underwater, blowing bubbles, floats, glides and diving for objects.
