Each 30 minute lesson will be tailored to meet your needs and goals. Madeline Morris, MM, Music Education, has been teaching and performing since 1997, and is a member of the Apollo Chorus of Chicago and a former voice student of Anne Marie Ouverson Bice of NU. Safe Sitter Clinic

Safe Sitter© prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who’s choking, and helpful information like what to do if there’s severe weather. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use CPR manikins to practice CPR and choking rescue! Magic Class

Robotics Club

Asylum Skateboard Private Lessons

Asylum instructors are ISCPD/SKATZ certified. Instructors teach high quality lessons in a sustained and progressive way. This is also a great leadership development program where children learn the fundamentals and safety of skateboarding. Private lessons are available for beginners, intermediate or advanced level skateboarders.

PRIVATE LESSONS Activity# 233040 $60 per 1-hour lesson for residents/$74 non-residents. Beginning December 1, private lessons are available indoors at Asylum Skatepark located at 29850 North Skokie Hwy., Lake Bluff, IL 60044. Basketball 101

Develop early basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling and passing, along with the basic rules of the game. All instruction is game/drill oriented with mini games played every week. Beginning Rhythmic Gymnastics

If you like music, dance, tumbling, and creativity, you have to try rhythmic gymnastics. It combines the beauty and artistry of dance with the strength and power of tumbling. Gymnasts perform routines to music using hand apparatus such as ribbons, balls, hoops, ropes and clubs. In the beginner class, girls will learn the basic body positions, elementary apparatus handling and musicality. Gymnasts may wear leotards or basic dance clothes. Dodgeball

The youth dodgeball class gives participants an opportunity to play the popular game in a safe and supervised environment. The program uses super soft balls with the safety of game play being an important factor. Each week, different teams are formed, and a different style of dodgeball are played. Offseason Triathlon Training

It is never too early to start training for next season! Our goal is to provide a fun environment in which to train hard and efficiently to achieve your personal triathlon goals. Cheer/Poms

Under the direction of Chicago Loves Dance instructors, students will learn cheers as well as poms choreography weekly in this upbeat class. They will learn 3-4 new cheers weekly, work on form, as well as add on to their poms dance routine. The last day of the class will be a parent watch day where they will do a short performance. Kids Yoga

Build Your Own Athletic Program

Gather your friends and build your own athletic program! Do you want to participate in some of the amazing programs the Deerfield Park District has to offer, but are worried about being in a class with others that you may not know? We can help you shape your own recreation “pod” experience with your friends. The Deerfield Park District is partnering with Hot Shots Sports to bring you this program. Your “pod” can have up to nine kids. Youth & High School Basketball

In this program participants will have the opportunity to be active in a fun and safe environment while learning and improving basketball skills. The program will focus on the fundamentals of basketball including shooting, passing, dribbling and teamwork. Grade levels will be coached by parent volunteer coaches. There will be a maximum of two coaches per team. The park district will compile the teams. Each grade level will consist of a minimum of eight (8) kids and a maximum of ten (10) participants.
