The Deerfield Golf Club and Learning Center’s 9 hole league will play on Wednesdays with tee times between 3:45 and 5 p.m.

Note: Application for resident fees will not be accepted without proof of residency. All season passes except for corporate pass types are non-transferable and subject to regulations of the Deerfield Park District. This privilege may be revoked without refund for violation of rules & regulations. Applications with false information will be cause for revocation of privilege without any refund. Limited tickets are sold to players under the agreement that they are good only during the golf season for which they were purchased. Limited tickets are not transferable and must be used by the purchaser only.

Permanent Weekend Tee Time and Weekday Day-Time League No Show Policy: If a weekend permanent starting time player or weekday daytime league player fails to cancel their individual tee time before 24 hours prior to scheduled play and does not play, they will be charged a “No Show Fee” equal to the current Resident 18 or 9 Hole Greens Fee that would apply to their tee time. The following exceptions to the “No Show Fee” will apply: when weather conditions warrant “Cart Paths Only;” when there has been a frost or lightning delay in the morning; when there has been 3/10 of an inch of precipitation over night as measured at the club on the morning of play; special circumstances such as Medical Emergencies, Auto Accidents, etc will be at the discretion of the club manager. Weekend Permanent Tee Times

During the regular golf season, there are times available each Saturday and Sunday for permanent tee time groups starting at 5:51 a.m. until 8:20 a.m. Regularly scheduled Permanent Starting Times begin on April 9 and end September 17. Permanent tee time applications and a fee of $260 ($65 per person) starting time application fee must be submitted to the golf course or to the Jewett Park Community Center no later than April 2nd. Applications are being accepted during regular business hours at both the golf course and at the Jewett Park Community Center. Representatives from the golf course will also be on hand Saturdays, February 20 and 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the golf course to accept passes and applications. Golf Passes and pre-paid tickets for the 2016 season can be purchased at both the golf course and at the Jewett Park Community Center at any time.

2016 WEEKEND PERMANENT TEE-TIME RULES Effective for Saturday and Sunday permanent tee-time groups starting from 5:51 a.m. until 8:20 a.m. Permanent Groups Pace of Play Requirements: Our weekend Permanent Pace of Play program is rigidly enforced for everyone’s benefit and enjoyment. Players teeing off prior to 7:09 a.m. must complete their rounds in 3 hours, 59 minutes or less. Groups teeing off before 8:21 a.m. have 4 hours and 14 minutes to complete 18 holes. All Groups will periodically be placed “on the clock”. If any group fails to comply with the above noted time requirements they will be given a “1st Pace Strike”. The week following a groups “2nd Pace Strike” the entire group will be informed of a Penalty that will result in a (1) time movement to behind the final Permanent Tee-Time group of their Saturday or Sunday play day. Each Additional “Pace Strike” will result in a 2 week Penalty movement behind the final group. Tee Time Cancellation Policy: Please keep in mind that the use of substitute players is encouraged. If unable to play, individuals and /or groups are required to cancel their tee times by the close of business two days prior to their Saturday or Sunday Tee-time. (Saturday times need to cancel by Pro Shop close on Thursday and Sunday times by close of business on Friday) There is no penalty for cancellations. If a player or group fails to cancel their individual tee time by the above noted timelines and does not play they will be considered a “No Show” and will be notified via mail and email. Any player that has a 3rd “No Show” will incur a charge for a “No Show Fee” equal to the current resident $50 – 18 Hole Green fee. A valid credit card number must be submitted for each member of a Permanent Tee-time group. Any “No Show Fee” will be automatically charged to the individual’s credit card on file for each violation following the 2nd “No Show.” All “No Show Fees” are considered a cash sale. We have developed a state-of-the-art golfer development instructional program that sets the standard. Our instructors tailor a program to meet each individual’s needs, goals and time availability in order to improve your game. Our programs focus on every aspect of golf: full swing, chipping, pitching, putting, bunker play, mental preparation, fitness, physiology and golf course strategy. We use the latest in video swing analysis to assist in your understanding of your lessons.

he Family Course Program allows family members to play golf from appropriate yardages which builds confidence, enjoyment and the ability to maintain pace of play. Deerfield Family Golf Rules: Tee up within two club lengths of the family golf marker. It is ok to: give yourself a better lie by rolling the ball around a little or even using a tee every time; only count the swings when you make contact with the ball; to move your ball away from trees, rocks and fences; play a scramble with your group; skip a hole and take a break; bring your family to the course, whether they are 4 or 90. This program consist of 3 one hour sessions offered on weekends so parents can participate. This is an adult and child combination class. Junior League & Teams JUNIOR GOLFER DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE This (9) nine hole league is designed to develop all the skills needed to golf. • Weekly on course (9) nine holes of play. • Instead of just score, we will use a weekly point system for our Junior Golfers. Players will receive points for on course successes such at hitting the fairway with their tee shot and only using two putts when on the green. This system will emphasize the skills needed to lower their overall scores and in process make them better golfers. • Play will be with our family golf rules, and on the PGA Family tee system installed at Deerfield in 2013. All players will be evaluated several times throughout the season and will play from the appropriate set of tees for their age and ability. • On course coaching, instruction on rules, technique and course management is part of the league. • The league meets during a more relaxed part of the week allowing the players to play during a time not pressured by other golfers trying to share the course. • The league is open to any golfer age 8 to 14 however, players will play independently and should be able to carry their own bag and keep track of their own score during play. Professional staff will be on the course coaching however, making new friends and socializing during league is part of our program. There are up to 75 points available every week for the golfers. This system will reward even slight successes. Points available are:

Deerfield Warrior Junior Travel Golf Team If one of your juniors goals is to possibly play golf at the high school level, our Deerfield Warrior Junior Golf Travel Team is for you. This is a great way for Junior Golfers to prepare for competition at the Junior High and High School levels. Teams meet twice a week for practice and play a Monday tournament round each week. During the spring and fall, tournament rounds are moved to Saturday or Sunday. Players on our Warriors Junior Golf Team are encouraged to practice and play as often as time allows, for that to happen a yearly golf pass is essential (not required) and is recommended. Our travel team juniors will play competitive events at Deerfield Golf Club and other North Shore golf courses as part of the North Shore Junior Golf Tour. Team members receive practice balls at all sessions, instruction by the PGA of America professional staff at Deerfield.

TRACKMAN COMBINE™ BENCHMARK YOUR GAME TrackMan Combine is a standardized test, enabling golfers to identify strengths and weaknesses – as well as compare their performance to other peer groups. TrackMan Combine allows you to identify your strengths and weaknesses. Once you know where your game needs work, you can focus your practice sessions on these areas. Then come back and take the TrackMan Combine again. As your TrackMan Combine score goes up, your handicap is sure to go down.

HOW IT WORKS The TrackMan Combine comprises 60 shots. You hit 6 shots to 9 different targets, ranging from 60 to 180 yards — as well as 6 drives. Once a TrackMan Combine session is completed, the results are uploaded to MyTrackMan.com where it can be reviewed at any later point in time. 1. Spring Golf Warm-Up

Deerfield Golf Academy Practice Club

We will get you ready for the golf. Join us for a two-hour session that will refresh your golf game. Taught by our LPGA and PGA Golf professionals, covers the grip, stance, posture, aiming and basics of the golf swing in a relaxed group lesson setting. Class size is limited to 8:1 ratio to guarantee personalized attention.

16 or 8 weeks of golfers getting together with our LPGA and PGA Professionals to work on their individual golf games while enjoying meeting and practicing with others. All aspects of the game will be covered as well as on course play. This course is open to all ability levels including new golfers.

Scoring Zone Golf School Nearly 70% of the game of golf is played from within 100 yards of the hole. The quickest and most effective way to consistently lower your score is by improving your game in the Red Zone. Your short game includes putting, pitching, chipping, finesse wedge and bunker play. In this program you will not only learn the proper fundamentals to perform the shots, but also effective practice techniques and drills to reinforce those fundamentals. Women’s Programs Complimentary Ladies’ Instruction

Women’s Golf School

These clinics, led by our LPGA and PGA of America Golf Professionals, will concentrate on golf as a whole with lessons geared especially for women. The clinics are open to any interested women and are held on Tuesdays following our ladies leagues to allow for easy participation in leagues and instruction. All clinics start at 12 noon.

7/12 Putting

Taught by LPGA Teaching Professional Trena McDaniel, learn the skills and knowledge to Break 100, 90 or 80. Each student is mentored one-on-one with computerized video technology. You will receive unlimited access to your videos, which allow you to review instruction and drills long after you leave the school. Each day student will learn full swing, short game and putting skills and will spend time on the actual golf course working on shot making skills to lower your scores as well as practice techniques for lasting improvement. Experience our professional and personal approach to learning.
