ost people know Marcus Davis for the delicious cuisine he serves up at his two highly popular restaurants, the breakfast klub and The Reggae Hut. But the native Houstonian is making another name for himself, with something else that is just as near and dear to his heart – his alma mater. For the past few months, Davis has served as president of the Texas Southern University National Alumni Association (TSUNAA). Davis is a 1996 graduate of TSU. There, he majored in political science and became a member of Kappa Alpha www.tsu.edu/giving Psi while he continued to develop his skills in the restaurant or contact Wendy Adair business working for the corporate office of Chick fil A. With a love for the restaurant business still in his heart, he worked diligently to open the restaurant he envisioned and the breakfast klub was born on September 29, 2001. The passion that has led the breakfast klub to one of the top restaurants in Houston, is the same passion that Davis uses to guide him in his position as president of TSUNAA. University officials say they know it’s not enough, but it’s a first step. “We know $50,000 isn’t enough for the whole project. It’s just enough to bring in a conservator to analyze the
